This advice works on a pragmatic level but from an emotional perspective, it fails miserably! I lost my wife to betrayal. After which she abducted our boy as a baby to asia. two years of court made things even worse. I lost my career whilst dealing with this. I collapsed mentally and physically at this point.
Close friends bombarded me with oh just meet another woman and move on. Or get. A little job. Etc etc.
