    Thanks for your video. That was a big help. I'm from Finland and I had the same problem with my 3d printer Saturn s 4k. Did you update the screen data to the software and where did you find this correct file? Elegoo's pages are a bit misleading.

      Glad my video could help :-) I just wrote an email to Elegoo support and they sent me the new display. i did not update any software. i have updated the printes firmware last month. but that is pretty much it. i think Elegoo have a great support if you just contact them by email. im sure they will guide you to the correct file you are looking for :-)

    Great video but there is a difference between "fixing" something and "replacing" something. Technically, the original panel is still broken, it wasn't fixed, simply replaced. :)

      yeah, you are right, maybe i should have called it "fixing the printer" maybe a bad choice of words.

      @@olebrogger i tend to agree. This is a "replacing the screen" video. I was hoping to find a troubleshooting video to try things before fully replacing it (aka ordering a new screen).

    how good is the washable resin from elegoo. i dont need tippy top , just for figurine/bust work, washable sounds like the most less workflow

      I Love The Water Washable resin, you don't need IPA anymore, just hot water to clean your prints. i have only used Elegoo resin so i don't know how other brands work. I would love to try them out, but right now i will stick to what i know works. Just remember to NOT bake prints too long under UV Light, they will be too brittle or crack.

    what about that black tape that was around the edges?

    • @olebrogger
      @olebrogger  Рік тому

      I forgot to put it in, but it works perfect without

    • @myerlinggames
      @myerlinggames 5 місяців тому

      definitely put it in. I use black "electrical tape" works just fine and waterproof when done correctly (aka resin proof).

    4:59 Why does the bottom of the screen look like that?

    • @olebrogger
      @olebrogger  Рік тому

      Think it is the cover of protective plastic

    • @myerlinggames
      @myerlinggames 5 місяців тому

      its a protective cover, but the screen itself is see through to allow light the penetrate through.

      @@myerlinggames Wasn't talking the cover. It was the adhesive between the screen and the glass
