I would have shown in the video, which seems to be a big problem of lots of post on process of taking off the upper shipping protector. People think it is a regular screen protector. The one of the Red Tag that says REMOVE. It would set a lot of people straight on the process. good video sir.
Thanks for the info. Nice to know. I had to replace my motherboard and damaged the touchscreen ribbon cable because the connector for the TS ribbon cable is different than the LCD ribbon cable. TS cable is a press in not a clamp in like the LCD cable.
I just changed the screen in a new saturn i bought as 'spares/ repairs' got it for £100 and I already had a replacement screen for it as i had a spare for my other saturn that i bought new, now got 2 working saturns :) I love the way the screen package came with the adhesive tapes needed instead of having to save old ones, my saturns don't have the screws underneath either
@@greedy3d480 totally :) already had a sealed genuine elegoo screen and some fep to change out, clean the thing and works perfect :D all it cost was a bit of time and effort ( and already having a screen and fep)
you can actually just not remove the top, in the corner theres enough room to pry up the old lcd screen with a flathead screwdriver. it will usually crack the old lcd but thats getting thrown away anyways so no big deal, it's how i've been replacing mine for awhile and works pretty well
What kind of double sided tape is that? I didn't get any with mine and I'd like to find a replacement at the hardware store. Is there anything special about it
I had to change mine about a month as well because for the same reason I was getting failed prints. I use have go Leckwith my ribbon, as the replacement had the same number as the original and all I needed after installing was to re-flash the drive and relevel and I was away, and I am now 3/4of the way through printing cake and jean dio from wicked at 100%. What I did invest also was some plastic razor blades that uncle Jessie talked about and now use these to clean any excess resin when I get some sticking where it shouldn't be. A good decent staright forward video which is easy to understand without the gobblygook talk.😊

Do you think the screen protector affects the print at all?
I don't see any changes 👍

Not tried this

Not sure ...I'm sure a Google trawl would find some or try elegoo support 🤔
Did you install the screen upside down?
No... I don't believe I did 👍
do you have a direct link to the firmware download? elegoo has changed their site and the firmware downloads don't include a .CBD file, so I'm stuck
Ah I don't sorry email their suport in sure they will help
