For those struggling to get the bottom off, you can do it without even using any tools. At the rear of the laptop where the two blue bits are, there's a piece of plastic above that that runs across the width of the laptop. Lift it up in one of the corners and pop it off. Then you can do the same with the bottom piece. Start lifting it at at the same corner you lifted the first piece. Dont try to yank it off in one go, lift it in stages. You'll hear plenty of clicks and popping sounds as the plastic comes away from the bottom of the machine. Once you have done it once it becomes so much easier the next time. You're welcome!
Please rotate the laptop in the video when you remove the back plate. Beginners have no clue what to look for or what you're gripping on to. It isn't as simple as "just pop it off" the way it's portrayed in the video. Doesn't matter how clean or HD the video looks, if it can't function as an actual tutorial.
hello, newbie here... why you remove the battery first before removing the ssd and ram??? would there be any issues if you directly remove the ssd or ram while not removing the battery?
It's good practice to remove power from the device before removing any component. More than likely nothing will happen as long as the device is off and you are grounded. But it's always better to play it safe
@@dontblinkoryouwillmissme I just bought one that is similar. I looked up this video to see what storage options it had. I’ve worked on laptops for a few years so I knew why he would remove the battery before touching components
Thanks for the video. It seems phn16 and ph16 share same boards. Do you know by any chance, phn16 has rgb-led for backpanel? I want to if the features are limited by predator sense. Like rgb per key.
Maybe it’s a stupid question but can you upgrade the gpu? I found a super offer for this model with the 4060 but could be a bit too slow for me and I was wondering if I can put a 4070 or 4080
HELP ASAP! I accidentally spilled some soda on the keyboard... I immediately turned it off and turned it around in a V shape. I left it to dry for now. Would the damage be major? Did the soda potentially seep into the crevasses and affect the battery? Help pls, It was all so sudden fck
@@dumbavengers6395 around $10 for the service. They told me it could have been free if I didn't remove the warranty seal (well of course I had to remove it, to remove the battery at that time).

Is the above piece of plastic the one that’s covering “Helios” on the left “NEO” on the middle and “16” on the right?
Also this is 2024’s Neo 16, I’m not seeing any blue bits, just the grey around the back exhaust.
