thank you so much for sharing the compatible ram modules and where to buy them, I've been going crazy for the previous 7 hours searching what the hell is compatible and has a good price
This helped so much! This is the exact laptop I’m trying to upgrade. I got the run around from Acer and their “partners.” They told me it would be $200 for an 8gb 5600mhz stick. Lmaoooo!! I just needed to know which one to buy and you sorted that for me.Thank you so much.
@@xzxzz0 The framerate is definitely more stable. But as far as an increase in FR it’s always been able to achieve the refresh rate of the monitor (and beyond) with no problem. The 4050 mobile is a very capable GPU. The only problem I see in the future proofing of this laptop is that it only has 4gb of VRam which is already a little lacking by today’s standards. I bought this for mobile gaming/working so it’s a backup to my desktop and it was cheap enough that I will use it for a little while and then upgrade. The Ram upgrade was absolutely necessary though, bc with the 8gb it came with, the memory was bogged down with the entirety of it being used by windows and background processes. Ram doesn’t effect framerate as much as people think. FR is more affected by GPU, CPU, and memory in unison, but upgrading it allowed the CPU to allocate enough memory to make everything overall more stable. Processes are faster, and it’s able to handle more processes at one time.
@@xzxzz0 Not really an increase (it was always capable of matching the monitor refresh rate which is 144hz) but the FR is definitely more stable, bc the processes it can cohesively run are less of a strain since the upgrade.
you'd usually want to match the frequency of new ram with the ram you already have. There isn't really a probability of instability like the guy above me mentioned but one of your high frequency ram will have to run at a lower frequency in order to match the frequency of the slower ram so your faster ram will literally be wasting it's potential output.
Can I do 16 + addionel 8 Gigs on second bank, so I have 24Gb with exact same Frequency? Do I gain anything from Duo Bank? I kn ow AMD processors profit from it
If you’re still looking for the info for what I can tell you can do any, but if you use different velocities the higher one will decrease its velocity to match the lower one.
For most brands installing additional ram will not void the warranty, that is unless you have damaged the ram slots by doing so. If you wish to return the product the original ram will need to be present inside the computer. Hope this helps! 😁
Yeah you can, but make sure both the RAMs should have the same frequency otherwise the RAMs will work at the lower frequency. For example if you put in one 5200MHz and one 5600MHz then both RAMs will run at 5200 only
nah it has 2 fans that can ramp up upto 7krpm and a lot of heat pipe as we can see. just make sure to disable the turbo boost for the cpu and you're golden

Yes @@cicerospy

you should disconnect the battery first to prevent the short

2:36 why to look at PC5 if it clearly mentions 'DDR5' on first line😂😂😂😂
Do i need to match the speed of the new ram and preinstalled ram?
as far as i know if you don't want to encounter the probability of instability you should

yes they doesn't need to be the same brand nor size so you could do 8 gb and 16gb. but make sure it's DDR5 and 5200mhz
I have a question can u pls help me can i use one DDR5 4800mhz RAM stick in this laptop ? or only 5200-5600 ???
There's no problem to use 4800mhz memory in this laptop. I recommend the samsung/hynix memory for this case
How can I change the thermal paste?
thanks video! .. can u again upload acer nitro v 15 ssd add more?

The other ram side you have to rotate to opposite like you to the ram on the face
I honestly got scared that i bought the wrong ram lol.. thankfully i wasnt the only one to notice.
I’m confused about this wording lol

and if you put a sixteenth one together with the eight one that comes with it, does it make twenty-four? Or do they always have to be the same?
Always better tl have the same
i have this exact laptop model and im confused about one thing and that one thing is what hz on the ram card should i use idk if its 4800 5200 or 5800

Can somebody tell me what wifi card is using on this notebook ?
Isn't it necessary to deactivate the battery?
I’m wondering the same thing
necessary and recommended as a short circuit may occur when using a tool on a powered notebook
