Figured this theme was in desperate need of a rework for some time now, but I didn't really know what to do with it and didn't want to upload something that doesn't feel like a definitive improvement. Now, this is much inspired by my last theme arrangement-wise and it feels less plain and a lot more organized to me than before. Let me know your opinion, especially in comparison to the original version.
Also, I'm aware that Lillie P R O B A B L Y won't be the champion for Sword & Shield, but I don't really care. Not really a fan of the actual champion tbh.

After becoming Champion and completed all of Isle of Armor's quests, you can travel to Motostoke where you'll meet a tall blond woman.
"Alola! You seem quite nice. Can you show me how to get to Windon?"
"Oh who am I? I'm Lillie, a humble tourist from the Alola region."
"Why do I wanna go to Windon? My brother wanted an autograph from the Champion in the region."
"Oh my? You're the Champion? I thought his name was Leon."
"Ah I see I see. I see a look in your eye. Mind if I battle you?"
"Thank you for accepting, I'll be sure to deliver a great battle!"
Lillie will have 3 Pokemon with her when you battle her the first time. A Ribombee, a Clefable and a Comfey.
"A super effective move! As expected of a Champion!"
"Just one left. Okay, let's push forward together!"
"It seems I have lost. Congratulations Champion."
"That passion reminds me of a certain friend. They are why I stand before you as the person I am now."
"So, can you take me to Windon?"
After a brief cutscene, you can travel to Windon's Battle Tower. When you enter, you can see Lillie talking to Leon.
"Ah *Player Name*, here for the Battle Tower? Feel free to approach any of the staff. Also..."
"This here is Lillie, Alola's Champion and Vice-President of the Aether Foundation there."
"Oh? You've already met her?"
"Mhm, it has been quite the treat fighting *Player Name*."
"What? You already battled *Player Name*??? I wish I was there to see it."
"Don't worry, it wasn't much Leon."
"Nonsense Lillie, I'm sure it was incredible regardless."
"Such enthusiasm for battle, I'm sure Professor Kukui will like you."
"Then send him my regards haha! Well, you said you wanted something?"
"Indeed, my brother wanted to your autograph."
"Hm... Oh I know... How about this. *Player Name* You up for a little challenge?"
"You are gonna be part of this too Lillie. If you want that autograph..."
Leon does the Charizard Pose.
"You are gonna have to go straight to the top."
"See you guys up there!"
Leon then runs off with enthusiasm. Lillie stares dumbfounded.
"Geez, that was rather rude. However, I can't deny the fact it sounds rather fun. So you up for it? You don't have to go immediately, I'll be hanging around Windon."
Till this little sidequest is complete, you can battle alongside Lillie in the Battle Tower. When in the battle tower, Lillie will use Comfey, Clefable and Rimbombee, focusing on supporting your team.
"We won! Nice going partner."
"That was amazing. I never thought I would battle a fellow Champion."
"Now about that autograph..."
"Ah right! What do you want me to sign it on."
"What about this?"
"Certainly!"
Leon will sign something and hand it back to Lillie.
"It was fun battling you Leon, and it was great having a partner like *Player Name*. I ought to be going now. My trip back to Alola is soon."
"Have a good one Lillie!"
If you travel to Wedgehurst, you can find Lillie outside the train station.
"Ah *Player Name*! Here to see me off? Thank you!"
"Actually, I was hoping to see you one more time."
"I never got to battle you seriously. It took me a bit to get everyone familiar with the place, but I'm up for a serious battle now."
"Okay! Come on team! Let's go!"
Lillie will have 5 Pokemon. A Ribombee, Clefable, Granbull, Togekiss and Alolan Ninetails.
"Let's go all out!"
"Down to one, okay. Let me show you Alola's strength!"
When her last Pokemon is defeated, a Ultra Wormhole appears in the sky. If you have Sword Solgaleo will appear while Shield will have Lunala. Lillie will stare in shock before realizing it is Nebby.
"Okay Nebby! Let's go!"
Once you defeat Nebby, Lillie will smile before giving Nebby a gentle pat.
"That was amazing *Player Name*. Here, have this."
Lillie will have you an Island Challenge Amulet.
"This is an Island Challenge Amulet. It's not a real one of course. In Alola, it's tradition for children who reach 11 to attempt the challenge."
"A good friend of mine did the challenge and in a funny twist of events, became Alola's first Champion."
"They have however left Alola a few years ago and I was put into the position, after beating all my friends in battle of course. If you ever have the chance, come visit Alola. As champion I'm sure you'll pass the trials brilliantly."
"Bzzt! Train leaving the Galar Region is now ready to board. Train leaving the Galar Region is now ready to board."
"My how time flies. I must be going on. Alola to you *Player Name*!"
Once you see Lillie off, you can visit Sonia after beating the Crown Tundra to learn that mysterious portals have suddenly popped up at different stadiums, with the first one being in Motostoke. You can travel to Motostoke to learn that Ultra Beasts have invaded Galar and Dynamax'd. Solgaleo/Lunala will suddenly appear and battle the threat alongside you temporarily. After you defeat the Motostoke Ultra Beast, you can find Solgaleo waiting at the Wild Area in the morning and Lunala at night. You then get to catch them. The Ultrabeasts cannot be caught while Dynamax'd, but once they have been defeated you can find one prowling the Wild Area but only after you talk to Sonia about them.
This is amazing. I hope pokemon did more something like this with their old characters

I've never even thought about this possibility until coming across this video, but Lillie reappearing as a champion would actually be a really cool way to wrap up her character.
Also I have to say this music is fantastic! Feels emotional yet intense, fitting for a suprise final boss encounter with an old friend.
In some future game having a more experienced Lillie traveling around would be cool. Sort of like how Sun and Moon you got to see a bunch of characters from older games and more grown up versions of Red and Blue.

I changed it a little and added a bit more including how the battle would play:
At the end of the Crown Tundra she reveals that she is the champion of Galar and beat Leon before you. She says "I've been watching you. You remind me of an old friend from years before. They changed me for the better. I used to hate pokemon battles; I felt how the pokemon felt and didn't want them to get hurt. My friend befriended their pokemon and battled with them. They were the strongest trainer I knew, the champion of Alola. Let's see if you can compare to them!" Champion Lillie has 5 pokemon starting with Alolan Ninetails (nickname: Snowy). You go through her other 4 pokemon (Magearna, Alolan Sandslash, Clefable, Dusk form Lycanroc (Ash's)) and she looks disappointed that she "lost". A Ultra Wormhole appears and out comes lunala/solgaleo depending on the game you're playing. She pats their head and give it star treats from her bag. Champion Lillie says "Lunala/Solgaleo now isn't the time for this. Leave." As the legendary doesn't move she realises that it's nebby and asks Nebby if they will help her. Nebby agrees and the last pokeball icon becomes a sun/moon. You then fight Champion Lillie's last pokemon Nebby. After she loses she gives you 50,000 pokedollars and says "You have proven your worth. You remind me of my friend... Champion. I don't have much but take this cosmog I have as payment in addition to the 50,000 pokedollars. Thank you." The whole battle it plays this theme.
While battling her, you notice that she only has five Pokémon. Upon defeating her last one, an Ultra Wormhole opens up in the sky and out comes either Solgaleo in Sword or Lunala in Shield. Either way, when they approach her, Lillie reaches out touches their head, and upon doing so, she realizes it is her old friend Nebby, coming to offer their help, which she accepts and the battle continues.
Fantastic idea. What did we actually get? Actually Leon with his Charizard. What a surprise :D
Then the empty pokeball slot becomes a sun/moon
Add the fact that you surely will hear the roar of the lion in sword and the hizz of the bat in shield

Lillie said she was going to Kanto right? Imagine if they made the Johto remakes for switch and you get to the Elite 4, only to find it’s Lillie that’s champion and not Lance. How awesome would that be?
Judging by the Alolan Ninetales yeah she could have definitely defeated Lance with it being a duo Ice and Fairy type two of Dragon’s greatest weakness besides itself
Unfortunately, that would make no sense chronologically since the events in the Johto region happened ~10 years prior to the events in SuMo. That's why you meet a very young Mina (the fairy captain) in Let's Go...
The possibility would be Gen 9 Kanto remake

I wish Pokémon acknowledges their previous characters into newer games. They make such amazing and intriguing characters but never use to their full potential.

We need PWT but shield/sword style with cheering + character unique ost
They used to but then Nintendo figured constantly reintroducing the characters was a means to make money and because they want the TV show to tie in with the games more as sort of a advertisement design where the games promote the show and vise versa. So rather than have some sort of continuity with a sequel they just have "remakes" that make you want to get them because they change the game ever so slightly to inspire you to want them. Obviously that doesn't make the games bad but it does mean that the odds of seeing any kind of character development or story continuity will be primarily determined by where the TV show goes with very few exceptions such as Red and Blue cause you gotta have something to keep the "old" fans coming back.
They did it a couple of times with Red and Blue in Su/Mo and the World Tournament in Black/White 2, but they should do it more.

Lillie: In the past I was viewed as a doll by my mother, I was shy, and I didn't like Pokemon battles... I thought they were to cruel and dangerous for Pokemon, but then I met them, always striving to be better along with their Pokemon, they as well as their Pokemon looked so happy... I wanted to be like that to, I-I wanted to be of help to them not be the one that needed help... I even tried to pretend battling with Nebby, but I was seen by one of them and felt so embarrassed, but I did want to join in, I wanted to battle alongside them, but I was to scared to... But now it's different, after that incident I decided I will no longer be under anyone's shaddow, I will fight for myself, my Pokemon, and for them. They risked it all to help me save Nebby, and undo my mother's mistakes, so now I'll make sure I'm strong enough so when the time comes I'll stand alongside the both of them not as someone that will sheer for them, but as someone who can fight with them... So Challenger... Show me just how strong you really are, so I can become stronger!

The music and the artwork are both perfect
The old version of this theme makes me think of Lillie rising above her doubts and fears to find the determination to face her own role model. This version gives me the feeling of a Lillie who has overcome innumerable difficult battles as a Champion, and these experiences have molded who she is today.
Can we all just take a moment to acknowledge how badass it would be if lillie came back as a champion 😂 like godamn

It'd be amazing if Lillie became the new Cynthia. Continuing her mother's work and roaming around different region to study on ultra beast and wormholes.
I actually very much dislike the idea of her continuing her mother's work. I think, unless done veeeery carefully, it would undercut her arc significantly.
Her entire character arc in Gen 7 was about finding out what she wanted and who she is. Getting out from under her mother's shadow and will and breaking away from that life. This is punctuated by her desire to become a trainer at the end of the game. And I think that was fantastic. She likes to research things and is very learned and studious but she would prefer to see the world and become strong than continue research.
I hope that's the only sense you mean it in, the thought of having two of those monsters running around waiting to jump you and send you back to the pokémon center is terrifying.
It should be a tradition that Champions and Elite 4 should be characters that you met in previous games who’ve matured and grew. Iris being the new Unova Champion was such a “Holy crap!” moment, the same with Wallace and Lance. Didn’t mind it in Alola, since the theme for that one was Alola’s best. But Lillie would have been an explosive reveal for the Champion.
the beginning gave me chills but in a really unique way. Like instead of powerful and menacing, I get like, mystical and calm vibes? but still intimidating, too! I love it :')
You hear the door close behind you as you enter Champion's room. And there she is. She's sitting on a glass throne, leaning casually against one armrest, twirling one of her Pokéballs in her hand.
She's so familiar. Long, blonde hair cascading down her narrow back. Green eyes with that certain intelligent look in them. White clothes that would suit the style of an aristocratic lady. Which she basically is. And yet she smiles that familiar kindly smile you're so familiar with.
"Hello, trainer," she says, standing up. With a few graceful, light steps, she strides into the middle of the room, enlarging the Pokeball in her hand as she does so. "I assume you're here to challenge me, right?" She looks at you with a look so familiar from years ago.
You nod and pick up your own Pokéball. You grin a little. Time for a battle.
This little story came to my mind when I heard this music :D

Not usually a fan of fanmade themes and remixes and stuff but I actually like this, if there was a game based on you being a trainer 10 years in the future and Lillie had moved away after the whole incident with her mother, this could actually be a really good battle theme... I can just imagine her being similar to Cynthia, having a diverse team with alolan ninetails and talking to you during the story, while telling little scripts about how a trainer she was friends with inspired her to become a full fledged trainer and move there to give her mother space after her recovery (and after you become champion giving an alolan vulpix that has a special feature like how steven gives a metagrossite on the beldum, maybe a new gigantamax or whatever they decide to add to replace dynamax like what they did with megas and zmoves). Unfortunately as cool as that would be I think she said she would stay with her mother to keep her company or something.
I can't even count how many times I've listed to this. Absolutely the best fanmade theme I've heard. Fantastic work!
Your low sub-count is a real shame because this is absolutely amazing! I would love to hear this in an actual game, but not even the Pokemon Company can make something this good!

I do actually imagine a diolague exchange.
You enter the Champions room and you see not Lance or Red, but Lillie as she walks to the battlefield, Pokéball in hand (If Ash or Elio or Gladion highly unlikely) She says with a light hearted smile "Greetings, Trainer (If Ash, Elio or Gladion she would say "Its been a while...") I shall show you what I have broken through to get here!" As the trainer (If Ash, Elio or Gladion) says "Im proud of you." And this track plays as the battle starts.
1 of the few fan made remixes I actually enjoy listening to. You capture the "Pokémon feeling" and still makes it unique like it could be inside the games while you would fight a grown up Lillie champion.
Good work! This song goes into my music list, and will be Lillies battle theme in future Pokémon DnD's :)
And with her Ninetales she could be Alola’s Ice specialist (instead of Fairy because that’s Mina’s territory) making Alola have a specialist in every single type

I would very much prefer it if she had a balanced team of multiple types the likes of Cynthia, instead of a Type specialist. It's Ok to have a Theme (Like Steven with his 'Mineral & Ancient' themed team), but not going with the whole party sharing a specific type makes for a better fight.
I like the thought of her being like Glacia (where Ice types are so rare in the region that people dont know how to deal with them)
Months later and I’m still coming back! One of the most beautiful (and also intimidating) fan themes that I’ve heard.
God, it's beautiful, the elegance of this art and the music are so suited to each other.
Absolutely love this. The instrument choice is really great, and also very befitting of a Pokémon battle theme.

This is a truly unique champion theme and I totally think this should be the theme of the gen 10 champion because it reminds me of how far Pokémon and the fans of the franchise have come
They should make a tournament as a post game in one pokemon game like the battle tree but it’s like a future arc where you fight people like Lillie or Wally when they grown up to be god tier or maybe as a long shot they should do that for the past player characters in a fighting red kinda fashion

And after that cup you know which Pokemon trainer is the best
And everyone use there Cover legendary Pokemon

Lillie is so lovely. And I dont just mean physically. But as a character. Her desire to bring her family back together is so sweet and inspiring. And the lengths she goes to see this through put many heroic actions to shame. Definitely my favorite character in Pokemon to date

BATTLE BEGINS...

This is the best pokemon battle theme I've ever heard, it rivals that of some of the best pokemon themes such as Wally's ORAS theme and champion Iris. Amazing work
IDK why but this song nearly brought me to tears. I guess I just thought of how far the Pokemon series has come. This song is truly one of a kind, so please keep making music.
This has no right being this good. Legitimately one of my top 5 Pokemon battle themes and it's fanmade. The part at 2:13 gives me chills every single time

I want Lillie as champion, Gladion carrying on his mothers work with Wicke and acting as a trial captain, and Lusamine joing Moan on Pokepelago
Lusamine joining mohn is unlikely, if you face gladion in the 7th gen games while defending your champion title you get a cutscene where mohn visits Aether Paradise and Lusamine lets him go bc he doesn’t remember anything and she doesn’t want to force him to do anything he doesn’t want to do
@@wapson2176 I for one hates the USUM story line and much prefer SM's story, you can't just forego all of lillie's character development and make Lusamine the good guy when she is actively freezing pokemon and torturing Nebby.
Plus, I think at least some of Lusamine's hesistance is also due to her sense of responsibility as the head of Aether. She'd probably be alot more willing to join him if she didn't have that responsibility.
The way I see the SM sequel to go, once Lillie and Lusamine go to Kanto to start their journey and recover respectively, Gladion steps up as actint Aether President with Wicke acting as his aide and carries on the foundation's conservation activities.
Once Lusamine returns from her treatment, she sees Gladion performing his role well and takes it as an opportunity to retire. She formally hands presidential duties over to him and retreats to a quieter life with her newly found husband on the pelago.
Just as an add on to the previous post. With the introduction of the Alola league, there is a huge uptick in challengers for the Alolan Elite 4 making it difficult for members to juggle both Elite 4 and Kahuna/Trial Captain duties at the same time.
Hala and Olivia steps down from their Elite 4 positions and hand them off to Hau and Guzma. Acerola steps down as a Trial Captain and Galdion becomes the new Steel Trial Captain with a Totem Silvally holding the steel memory
The music is actually AMAZING! Simultaneously nostalgic and epic. It really sounds like it could be a Pokemon battle!!!

In comparison to your original version, the theme seems to feel more experienced. Literally. Each note has weight and energy that gets the listener feeling the rush of sounds, even with the shifting differences. The drumming, the electric parts, the flute/wind instruments, piano section, it all has a flow to it that makes this theme different but still very pleasant to me personally to listen to.
The artist did an amazing job too. This picture works really well with your new arrangement to your theme!
Your theme here reminds me of a second form boss battle. I really enjoy what you created, both your original theme and this newer theme!
I love how it isn’t too intense yet it has some kind of chilly vibe to the song that makes the it somewhat triumphant and intense anyway.
I don't really expect it to happen the very next generation, they could milk it where by like Gen 10 or 12 she reaches the position of a champion of Alola. And in between you get that "character development" people overly praise by her simply battling semi competently, to averagely competently, with dialouge of her being confident and giving advice.
She technically has the most potential to draw in newer fans that simply want to see her react and act to situations. Could even be given "Special episodes" where she's the point of focus character in the anime as Ash does his whatever.
She'll be just like N. He was one of the most memorable and developed NPC but never seen him since Gen 5.

How do you not have more subs this is hella good. If I heard this with no context other than Pokemon i would think it's a legit theme. Better than half the themes the Pokemon Company make nowadays my favorite still being Team Plasma from BW/B2W2
The music is extremely good. It fits Lillie, she went through so much pain but she made it. Easily my favorite female character in Pokemon.

The original version of this song was how I originally discovered your channel, so this is very nostalgic for me. Also, Lillie is my favorite Pokemon character ever, so this song always puts a huge smile on my face whenever I hear this masterpiece.
