Nostalgic Remembrance | Aligarh Muslim University | Har Khvāb Hai Khud Tābīr Yahāñ

In this episode of Jahan-e-Aligarh Dr Roomana N. Siddiqui (Professor of Psychology), Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui (Assistant Professor, Dept of Geography), and Dr. Tauseef Fatima (Assistant Professor at Centre for Women's Studies) join Dr Huma Parveen (Assistant Professor at Dept of Mass Communication), where they discuss some interesting facts, stories, and anecdotes about AMU' life. Dr Huma Parveen starts the show by asking about the Women's College and Abdullah hall, where everyone has a share of nostalgic events, as well as witty incidents. The talk further goes on revolving around the female education, the University, and its culture, and how this beautiful place has acted as a magnet to attract them and not let them go off. They also discuss about the University's role in shaping the career and grooming of many poverty-stricken students coming from a very poor background and excelling here. Again, a discussion of some witty comments and anecdotes made in the university, for some laughter!
The show ends with the vibrant and intriguing nature of the evergreen Tarana-e-Aligarh, its effects which most Aligs feel while listening to it and having goosebumps!!...Enjoy the show.

Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba is one of the best representatives of Aligarh tahzeeb. Dr. Huma deserves appreciation for the nice moderation. Prof. Romana is a great teacher and scholar. Good to see Tauseef speaking confidently in the presence of her seniors. Nice episode. Well done Nostalgia

Mujtaba saheb. You are centimental like aligs of 55 onwards about tarana, do you know that when tarana was recited first-time in 55-56, it's rehearsals were done secretly in one of the prof residence as seniors of those days were agaist it.

We have not been able to do anything about our minority character, we could not save the Babri Masjid, CAA/NRC was not thwarted by us but Sharjeel Imam, article 370 was dealt a blow and Kashmir reduced to a Union Territory and the government has already started to move against AMU. With the self congratulatory attitude like the one in this programme we will not be able to save our Chaman.
