I watched this video several time. It brought old memories. I saw my best friend . I saw my English professor Zahida Zaidi . I was very close to her and Sajida zaidi. This video brought tears in my eyes. I saw my college. Mumtaaz Appa was the principal. Her father Papa Mian encouraged me and helped me to start children’s union school. I graduated in 1961. That time I was the president of political society at women’s college. I adore my university. Allah bless my university AMU the greatest university and I love AMU Tarana. This film touched our heart.

Very inspiring historical and educational journey of Muslim women in the Indo-Pak subcontinent. Many of my professors were from Aligarh who migrated to Pakistan. My own grandfather studied at Aligarh University.
Love and Salaam from Islamabad.
Its great to know you could have a glimpse of that idaara which was the pioneer of education in the muslim community.

Marvellous tribute to a great institution, especially its contributions in women education in very challenging times; and hats off to the galaxy of prominent daughters who worked tirelessly to make AMU very proud.

And look how this vibrant agile lively romantic Urdu tehzib became victim of biased and dislike if not hate from fanatic hindu establishment in India and racist quota system in pakistan!! But astonishingly noticeable that by the grace of Almighty Allah this is some how still flourishing in India unlike pakistan where this Urdu tehzib has almost vanished!! Karachi which was once the seat and symbol of Urdu language and culture is no more of that identity so we lament we weep please indian muslims get the legacy on at the extent of highest possibility,thnx

Zubaida the first actress performed in a talkie movie was an almnus of AMU.
Begum Para was another alumnus of AMU.Zubaida and Begum Para were two different persons not same as you described.
Begum Para was married to actor Nasir Khan the younger brother of Dilip Kumar.Begum Para who too an Aligarian lastly acted in the film "Sanwariya".
Actor Ayoob Khan is her son.
Yes... thats a mistake to write Begum Para underneath Zubeida’s name.

Shaoor jis aurat me tha usne khudka parda bhi rakha aur khudko Modern bhi kar liya. Yehi to khaasiyat hai Aligarh Muslim University ki. Sara khel Shaoor ka hai jis aurat me vision hoga woh Islamic bhi rahegi aur Modern bhi.
