  • Heres my walkthrough of this car! bit.ly/2C1lg4N
    Thanks for watching my first drive review! I am slowly learning more about editing and can only hope to be as good or better than the big guys! I already have a lot of new video ideas so those should be up soon!

    Hi guys, I have the same car, and is not for speed, I love it because is so simple and save you a lot of dollars in gasoline and the pieces that you need when the car need to be fix, the engine is one of most durable in the market, corolla 2002 & 2003 is the last version with the best engine & transsmision, when I bought the car it was with 112,000 miles now has almost 300,000 and my mechanic say the engine still like new, just care about the engine oil and it will be durable, I recommend 💯

      What is your mpg?

    • @graciegjj
      @graciegjj 2 роки тому

      @@gregd9260 about 25 MPG with the 10% ethanol gasoline blends and about 30 MPG with pure gasoline ethanol free... And of course if you're doing more highway driving in that range of 55 to 65 mph you'll be getting the best gas mileage you can where is City driving not so much but hey most of us do a mix of both it is what it is.

    The 2002 Corolla was built solely to be a 1-2 passenger commuter car without frills. Commuters want foremost reliability so they don't have to call in that they can't make it in because the car broke down. The Corolla delivers this in spades. It was never meant to be anything else. It has only one serious shortcoming. The front seat doesn't go back far enough for tall drivers. For someone taller than 5'9" they probably won't like it. My 2002 Corolla LE with 174K just simply won't break down. I drove it for years commuting and it never let me down. Even now that I am retired, I still use it as a run-about with my Camry as a trip car.

    I miss my 8th gen corolla. that soft suspension and body roll was a lot of fun especially around town .. driving it flat out with my foot to the floor from every stop light or roaring around corners at 30mph is a treat in an 8th gen.

    02 corolla Not too fast but literally last night a civic base model 2015+ or newer tried cutting me off on the freeway and I sped up and kept up with him up until i maxed out at 110 😂 which I was really surprised and I'm sure the civic was too lol 😂

    I just bought one for $275!!! 175k miles, 02 5spd manual everything works fine and is little fun car i actually like it. It was very filthy i took front seats out cleaned whole interior & shampoo carpets, seats changed oil and vipers thats it, think can sell it for at least $1000. But probably keep it its very good on gas.

    I drive a stripped down CE with a manual trans, it can be a fun car and doesn't beat you up like a Civic. I upgraded the KYB shocks and more sticky tires; handles great on the twisty.

    I took my old 2002 corolla to 100 one time. I felt the car start to lift. The steering wheel was shaking. Too scary. Never did it again. I’ll never forget when I traded it in for a 2005 mustang gt. Even thought it only has 300hp compared to modern v8s, I couldn’t believe how slow that Corolla was haha. Also feels a lot safer at higher speeds.

    • @Kevinb1821
      @Kevinb1821 3 роки тому

      I think my Corolla only had a 3 speed auto. If you tried to step on it above 60. The car wouldn’t downshift. It just bogged out.
