Woody and Al tear down the 4G15 Mitsubishi engine out of Marty's Lancer to try and find out what went wrong when it blew up on the main straight at Sydney Motorsport Park.

You could take the engine block and stick a glass slushy machine on top of it. Drill the sides and install spouts and pluming inside. Then put it in the restaurant on one end of the bar. Unless the block was long thrown out.
generic2858 and add some speakers and mount it on springs with a shaky motor on the bottom so each time you pour a slushy it looks and sounds like the engine starts up

That's not the problem, those engines have valve overlap. Couple that with a small turbine and you get detonation = H34DG45K3T??

When you guys pulled the engine out and Marty did the oil drain and straight coolant came out I just busted out laughing. Even crazier to see how big of a hole there was in that coolant jacket

Al T "admitted"... As if it's a scandal to edit and release videos when there is enough material to keep a steady uploading scheme for the fans, and rather not give away live information about what they're doing after being robbed and harassed multiple times.
They start releasing project videos when the project is (almost) done, and it goes in the queue if they are still releasing videos from a previous/simultaneous project.
Al probably got around checking out 2sexy's engine just recently after it's been gathering dust for half a year, it's winter time.
He also broke his pinky dirt biking on skid factory around April/May right?

I owned one of these Mitsubishi Lancers and it was a great car. I drove it into the wreckers at 420,000 kilometers. They gave me 50 dollars and I got 75 back on the rego. I bought a Toyota Corolla but I do not like it. Tomorrow the 27.04.2019 I am going to look at a 1 owner Lancer 1992 GLX CB 5 door hatch. It looks immaculate and if it drives ok I will buy it and sell the Toyota. The Lancer 1500 motor has adjustable tappets 12 of them and the Corolla has 16 valves with shims which are a pure bastard to adjust. I am hoping that the Lancer has a carburetor as I can fix this. The Corolla is fuel injected and I can not fix that. Wish me luck for tomorrow. Bob

Oil Analysis Results: the purity levels of the Evo Stancer were too high. The rod bent itself so Marty could swap the engine and bring the purity back to reasonable tolerances.

Funny those spanner sizes. In my line of work (building trains) it's pretty much exclusively 10, 13, 16 and 18 for the normal sized stuff.

I'd say jacket broke; coolant got on top of the piston: compression stroke: more volume of coolant than the volume of the compression chamber; result something had to give.

I suppose because of the hole at the bottom of the cylinder, things happen fast, coolant entered into the cylinder and on to the next stroke it bent the rod because can't compress coolant. OR... what Al said. OR... something else. I think it's very interesting to know. Sadly i think this motor is long gone by now to investigate (still haven't watched the vi to the end)

This video made my inner hoarder, poor boy, cry. Watching all the auxiliary parts go in the trash actually made me cringe. The alternator, water pump, starter, etc. In my mind I kept thinking "But what if Marty needs to replace the one on his new engine?". Yes, I know it's silly.

Grout like you use on tile. I've seen two part epoxy used by a honda guy. That little single cam put out good numbers until it ate a ring. It's always something...

The block probably twisted enough for the piston to get caught in the bore, it did very well considering
I had an 89 Ford Ranger 2.9L V6 bend every rod in the engine when it got run into deeper water than was expected. They stopped short or breaking, but every rod in the engine was bent in a perfect semi-circle... I thought that was bad... until you opened that 1.5L
I heard the lemon squash was a common problem with those motors

Good to know what actually happened. It's interesting to see this as it also reminds you that modding without prep work for that extra power will cause problems as well. Will look forward to 2.5exy and how you both upgrade it. Keep the Skid Factory content coming as well. :)

1:28 NO KIDDING!!! You can take apart a Japanese car with 10, 12, 14 and 17mm tools. Every time I go work on my Suburban, I need my entire metric and standard tool set, and half way into a job I find I need to go buy some random off the wall security torx fitting!?!
If I were director of engineering at GM that's the first thing I'd do - narrow down their hardware list to 10 options.

Considering how much abuse that engine saw (of course, if my memory serves me right) i'm actually surprised that's the failure point. Personally, i would've expected the crank to be cracked in half, like most of these i see in junk yards from peeps who think these can take boost.
If i could buy a set of 8mm 10mm 13mm and 15mm id be happy
