I am a car mechanic and at work we say some cars you can 'smell the frustration'. Like this flash drive owner, a cars owner would be trying to make an emergancy repair yet they do not have the right tools or experience. Then when they get fed up they bring the car in for a professional repair. I support everyone trying to fix anything on their own, the key is knowing when to give up and call for help There is no shame in trying, even if you don't succeed.

Still manifesting for 20 - 30 minutes video. I guess still unlucky for today. Will review the video after it finishes playing.
Edit: The looks on the face when the files were seen, I really am amazed by the fact that you always have that smile at the end of every repair, fixed or broken.

@NorthridgeFix , please for your own data stability, do not fill your ssd disk to the red bar. Please move your files until you see red bar turns to blue. SSD's wear much more if they tend to have less capacity than %10. Keep up the great work man. Love watching your repairs.

can you solder back on a broken PCI x16 slot on my motherboard?

    • @-eMpTy-
      @-eMpTy- 2 роки тому

I've done it before. Took me around an hour to desolder and solder the new one in because the board kept sucking up the heat, had to heat gun in what felt like 10 times but it worked fine in the end. Gigabyte wasn't joking with their " 2 oz Copper PCB" marketing lol. Should be easily doable by someone who has better skills and equipment like Alex. Replacement PCI/PCIe slots can be bought off AliExpress for a few $ including the whole assembly and through hole pins.
Edit: Also, the slot came came with really long pins for some reason, I had to snip them off after the soldering job was done.

Test points to join a broken Pendrive using jumper wires on to a debug board to prevent stress on damaged Pendrive
