I am a car mechanic and at work we say some cars you can 'smell the frustration'. Like this flash drive owner, a cars owner would be trying to make an emergancy repair yet they do not have the right tools or experience. Then when they get fed up they bring the car in for a professional repair. I support everyone trying to fix anything on their own, the key is knowing when to give up and call for help There is no shame in trying, even if you don't succeed.
Can we at least say that the costumer was honest that it was all his mistake not pointing the blame on another shop?
lots of respect to customers who admit they messed things up.
I have helped so many customers by fixing their devices by watching your videos I feel like every video I learn something new and helpful.
Still manifesting for 20 - 30 minutes video. I guess still unlucky for today. Will review the video after it finishes playing.
Edit: The looks on the face when the files were seen, I really am amazed by the fact that you always have that smile at the end of every repair, fixed or broken.
Great data recovery! Thanks Alex! 🤓
Hope to learn this myself, have done data recovery off a USB drive once before with complete success. Nice work, learning heaps.
As usual making it look easy, sir! Thanks for the tutorials!!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Love the data recovery videos, nice and easy repair for the right person :)
You are so brave to disconnect the drive before copying the files,
Nice, quick, awesome. Thats the way it should go for the end of the day. A great fix, gives you some good positive feelings for the end of the day. Thank you for the video. Greets

Nice video. Thanks. The description is from yesterday's video though. ;)

I love repairs like these because you literally have to rebuild the circuit for it to work. Great job alex!
Awesome and very satisfying!
Absolutely love your videos! I’ve been watching and been a fan for the past year. I’d love to train with your company someday! Also when are you gonna restock the T-Shirt Better than factory? I want one so bad so I can rep your brand. Thanks much love from New Mexico
Excellent job.
Amazing work as usual
The video description is the same as on the last video but anyways so much knowhow for a quick job and a happy customer the can be happy having an expert solving the problems

With best regards from Iran
Ps:if you could show under the chips before soldering them on to the board it would be fantastic
Very good job 👏 👍 👌
Your laugh kills me everytime! 😂 Love your work. How did you get into repairing electronics? Since you were a web developer before. Let me know!

Great job Weldon.
awesome job sir... thats always been a troublem most of the time
This guy is a master!
good job mate.
good work sir
@NorthridgeFix , please for your own data stability, do not fill your ssd disk to the red bar. Please move your files until you see red bar turns to blue. SSD's wear much more if they tend to have less capacity than %10. Keep up the great work man. Love watching your repairs.
God job sir.
Good Job
Mister, could you tell me what is the size or number of the tip you use for Weller wx station
nice job 👌👌👍👍
Awesome!
You are seeting on my dream chair ❤️❤️
Its so simple👍👍
Amazing...

Great you tube channel my friend

I have an ssd (850 evo) that works great and randomly just stops if os is on it causes bsod. If just copying files to it, it just says cant find destination. Copying again without replugging it works fine.... I think it's a cap inside the ssd.... thoughts?
What model bent chisel tip is he using?
Quick and easy repair
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
I like the smile of succes :-)
Nice 👍🏾
nice Vedio ☮️ 👍
Just curious how long you have been doing this type of work
awasome
Thank you a few months ago I did this to my Xbox one x that I scratched up taking the x clamp off I messed up like 8 traces I got over confident and slipped haha I never mess up on a customers device, but when it comes to my own damn it!
How far did he drop it holy lmao i drop usb drives all the time and they never break. Great work though!!
Just a thought experiment: could you desolder a flash chip on one drive and solder it on the other drive if they are the same model? Or is there some weird serialization that doesn’t allow that?
5:57 aww I wanna see what he had on there! hahaha
legend!
Could the RAM chip be removed & soldered onto a good working thumb drive? Great data recovery! Thank you 🤓
If you have an absolutely identical drive, yes. That's easier said than done in some cases as the flash drives tend to go through countless revisions that can make them incompatible.
what do you recommend beginners to use as a station like do you guys sell a all around working kit for beginners?
northridgefix.com/product-category/soldering-equipment/
can you solder back on a broken PCI x16 slot on my motherboard?
I've done it before. Took me around an hour to desolder and solder the new one in because the board kept sucking up the heat, had to heat gun in what felt like 10 times but it worked fine in the end. Gigabyte wasn't joking with their " 2 oz Copper PCB" marketing lol. Should be easily doable by someone who has better skills and equipment like Alex. Replacement PCI/PCIe slots can be bought off AliExpress for a few $ including the whole assembly and through hole pins.
Edit: Also, the slot came came with really long pins for some reason, I had to snip them off after the soldering job was done.
I love job well done face he makes
Dear northridge fix could you help me for fixing hp 32 gb v215b pendrive, detecting by pc and not showing.I tried all on google&youtube but no use
i say, that was brave to jump the connection using wire. I had bad experience once, where everything and anything are shorted. and then I always make sure to use cable if I need to jump like that
It is copper wire with thin coated layer, shorts are not possible with that type of wire.
Looks like he's using enameled wire.
It's magnet wire; same thing used in transformers/electromagets when it's tightly wound together and must not short.
When you have experience and know what you are doing there is nothing to worry about and like somebody said those are special wires
Good
I love data recovery work 🇮🇳
I have a Beatsbox Beats by Dr dre from 2010 the supply source îs defect ca-n i send You the supply source only ți fix IT?
Did they solder with a butane torch, like it is still the 70s!? Yikes!
I'm not bragging but I can fix the same broken pendrive...like new and the customer can use it normally.. but i enjoyed the repair amazing skills you possess...best of luck for ur future 👍
Those full drives on his computer are triggering me lol
you can use a nand flash reader and recover data easily
Bro do you have 4539 mosfet to sell i need one for me tv backlight
Or
Any equivalente to it please
Phil Swift: that's a lot of damage
Why don't You design a USB debug board in which the connectorless damaged drives can be jumpered onto the debug board without the need to adding a USB connector.
Debug board can have features like
Short circuit protection
Test points to join a broken Pendrive using jumper wires on to a debug board to prevent stress on damaged Pendrive
👍
02:10 what is that white pasta called...?
northridgefix.com/product/amtech-nc-559-v2-tf-flux-10g-syringe-plunger-2-needle-sizes/
how much did you charge for that job?
Im always waiting for the guy to say "oh what the f is that?" when the drive files pop up....
5:46 we can see where he stores the videos before editing
Hello nice but if you just soldervUSB Male connector then this will best and customer have use there usb flash again i think
The case of the pen was destroyed and you don't find spare factory parts.. a 4Gb pen drive costs a couple of dollars and customer sent one for transferring data to it... the customer did not pay work and mail/courier to have a couple of dollars worth USB drive pen but to Recover Data.
Cant u give me osciloscope sir🤩🤩🤩🤩
❤👌👌👌❤👍
Can you recover my marriage?
@@ElGreco365 Hard to recover, too much alcohol!
Applied too much heat. No recovery but still have to pay for it
Better than... uhm ok maybe not but enough for the job :D
tada!!!
Came in for data recovery
Have you ever considered a fibreglass pencil as opposed to that grinder?
What would you charge for this particular service being so easy?
Same price easy or hard. We talked about this many times before.
you pay for skills , knowledge and experience plus the investment in the equipment used , not just how long it takes or how easy/hard the job is.
It's easy for him because he's spend countless hours to perfect that skill that's what you pay for not for his time invested but for his skill.
@@AshishKotnala29 thats an easy fix even if you're new to soldering
Mr Alex makes it look easy. But, after seeing the failed attemps of both "experts" and laymen enough times, i think they wouldn't call it "EASY" anymore. Also those files have a value to the client; how much will someone pay to recover the ONLY copy of wedding photos?
In India beginers fix this kind of Devises
Sir, you can fix anything. Please fix my life
👍💐😇
if i ask how much this client paid (you, not postage etc) just for a connector , would i get a reply? 😁
What a chad, bare copper wire, who cares about shorts lol.
Scientist in the comments here. You should safety eject the usb drive before you disconnect it.
