I would rotate the yellow connector where water or snow would not drop into the female plug. Better yet, put a small roof over it or put the EVSE and connectors in an enclosure. Nice Cybertruck and Rivian.
Thank you. Great to see that our viewers pay attention. You are right that is a bad design. Luckily this is not the chargers permanent home. That yellow plug is on the 50amp extension cord that runs from the NEMA 14-50 outdoor outlet to the tree where we can show chargers much better than where the actual power outlet is located. Just as you recommend, chargers should be plugged into proper power outlets suited for the environment. Thank you👍
@RMTFamily I enjoy all your videos. I'm glad to see EV owners in Montana spreading the good news. Watch out for the pedal cover coming loose on the accelerator on your Cybertruck. That is why they have a hold sale right now.
@@davidws5439 Thank you. EV adaption in Montana is not bad considering most new things take a long time to get adopted in Montana. Yes, I have to take a look at that accelerator pedal to see what’s going on. So far no issues with the pedal. But that has to wait until tomorrow, today I’m my wife’s chauffeur, driving the Rivian😀.
Nice to see the standard plug is coming out with all new chargers. Can you do a video on what is slipping on the CT gas peddle causing it to stick? I guess that is why Tesla has halted deliveries.
I have not experienced an issue with the accelerator pedal on the CT. I have to look at the design of this floor mounted pedal. That is a different design than what Tesla has been using, so there certainly could be a problem.
I will take a look tomorrow. Have ours set to Chill mode, hitting the brake should further reduce power and brakes should be able to overpower the motors. But still unexpected acceleration or sticky pedal can lead to some issues.

@3RGL Do you doubt that this will do 40Amps? Best way to see that it does is to buy one.

@@RMTFamily Rumour is accelerator pedal issue - if the cover comes off, it can cause the pedal to be depressed in its 100% position

Checked the pedal. Video coming tomorrow April 18.
Thank You
