Love, love, love to see your mom again! You are both SO beautiful! I was thrilled you used the Byredo pallet - mine is supposed to come today! I’m about 10 years older than your mom, and was thrilled to see how great it looked on her. I have to admit I feel a little intimidated by it. That’s one of the things I always love about your makeup - you seem to always have a lighter, more usable eye makeup look. Best wishes to your mom on her retirement. No matter how thrilled you are to reach that point, nor how ready you think you are, it is still an adjustment. In sort of an ironic twist, that’s how I actually got started watching your channel. For over 35 years I wore makeup every day to go to work. I hardly took the garbage out without a full face, not to mention going to the grocery. After 10 years of retirement, however, I realized I was doing less and less to get ready in the morning and needed to step my game up. After learning so much from you and practicing, I now get up and put on makeup every day. No one but my fur and feather babies may see it, but it makes me feel better. Tell your mom to make sure she stays around people. That is probably the biggest adjustment to retirement. I speak fluent parrot and dog, but is always nice visiting with people at Costco over the organic apples. I don’t have an instagram handle, and don’t really know how to get one. Just wanted to tell you how much I look forward to your advice.
Update on Byredo pallet: it came and I am so glad I saw what you did with your mom’s makeup. I was able to replicate what you did and it was awesome. Now I want to see what colors you used on your eyes! The tricky thing is that the colors don’t end up looking like you think they will. Some that look light end up looking dark in practice. I don’t see that as a problem with the formula, just my inexperience. I love the pallet and your take on it.

Yes that is a good point. One of the reasons why I didn't want to rush a review of this palette is because it's very much a mixture of shades and finishes. I like to get a good feel for how they apply because I had a similar experience where they look different on the eye

Love Love this video. Your Mama cares for a garden of my dreams❤. I am on a quite a strict no buy this year (can only replace used up make up) so my boyfriend gifted me with the D&G Eye dare you palette and most of the liners and it is such a fun palette to use - I love it as it brings me so much joy each time I use it. Then again my best friend surprised me recently with the Byredo Palette (I talked me out of it not to break my no buy) and there is something about this palette.... So intuitive to use, beautiful colors, I can't express how grateful I am for this gift. It is not only a collectors item but so usable in its best way.

Chantecaille has sheer glow rose face tint. It goes perfect with the future skin. Also saie has starglow similar to dior. That one i use under my other foundations. There is also gucci. That one is very much like dior but more hydating.

This reminds me of the relationships I have with my 3 daughters. except I always want to do their makeup. Unfortunately, the N-17 brush is currently out of stock. Love the Dolce and Gabbana blush.
