Are the beaches nice? Well my favorite is playa tesoro, but I do like el Transito and las penitas. But yes the beaches and Leon are very safe! Nicaragua is safe and a great family destination!
How safe is León for gringos? Are the beaches near León nice? Any hotel recommendations?
@@theroaman8759 Leon is safe - we have never encountered any issues with walking around, shopping, driving or parking in Leon . La Perla, Hotel Azul and many more hotels are great and depends upon your budget. We are very partial to our beach which is 30 km south of Leon off the Salinas Grandes road. It is private, safe, tranquil and just so peaceful.

You can get better pizza in Leon... it is located near the Subway and the Shawarma...
