This is for unsung hero. You know who you are. Thanks for serving your country, my country. If it weren't for our vets and current military we would be doomed. Ilove the U.S.A.
Iam an old retired fireman. This song puts into sound the sad feelings that are unable to be said in any words , in 25 years of seeing death in peoples own homes there is needed some form of that surpasses the human heartache.
I am able to remember and cry and just say it is just the smoke from 50 years ago making my eyes water . God bless
Perhaps one of the greatest tear jerker songs ever
I still cry listening to this awesome ballad.
Love ❤️ the program and singing 😂
They ALL are more then just a name on the wall. They ALL were someone's son. husband, brother, best friend, clasmate, co-worker. They ALL are somebody's someone special.
My dad is a Viet Nam veteran so I love this song
I think of our neighbor that was killed in vetnam in 1970 Everytime I hear this song. RIP Danny Roberts .....
Viet Nam disabled vet. This song honors all Viet Nam vet. My tour 1968 1972. Some day God willing I will get too see the wall in Washington. Also the wall honoring WW 2 veterans and say thank you for your service.
Thank you for your service! 💕 My dad is also a Vietnam vet. He served two tours in the late ‘60s, just after I was born. I can’t sing this song without my throat closing up.
I served there in 1968&71, May God keep watch over all my lost brothers.
Thank you for your service.

Perhaps the greatest tribute song about the tragic Viet Nam era. God bless 'em all who served and the more than 58,000 who never came home.
This song really hit home after having a remembrance/Memorial service for my Uncle Gary who was shot in Vietnam. I didn't know him, but listening to this song, and hearing how my Uncle was taking from this world really hit home. I can not begin to imagine the pain my Grandparents felt, or their brothers and sisters when they heard the news. He was within 5 months of coming home.
In memory of PFC. Gary Heeman 'M' company 3/5
More than a name on the wall they are name that's will never be forgotten 🇺🇸😢🇺🇸😢🇺🇸😢🇺🇸😢🇺🇸

I can hardly sing this song without breaking into tears. Beautiful tribute.
I'm just listening to it and I'm crying like a baby right now 😭
This song still makes me cry every time I listen to it. Such s beautiful tribute to those who gave their lives serving our country fighting in Vietnam.
And for what?
I hated that so called political war. That did not accomplish anything, and cost so many good American boys their lives. Boys who didn't want to go but had to, I hated it..Sorry Mam..
@@Itsmevern12 But that's exactly why the song is touching to me. Those sacrificed without a choice...sad for them and their families. The war was a horrible thing, but my heart goes out to those who were ensnared. Some didn't have a choice, and some didn't know any better..
My dad served and made it through it, but this was one of his favorite songs. I pulled out his camera today that he took pictures with when he was over there. I realized for the first time the bottom of it had a label that had his name and serial number.
I have listened to this song well over a hundred times and I still cry like I did the first I heard it. Thinking of the mother in the song, the mothers, father's, brothers, and sisters of friends who died over there really gets to me. God bless them.
For Robert Horsky, George Volk, and Ed Cooper (K.I.A. two days after his 19th birthday).
God bless you, May you all forever Rest In Peace.
So much more than a name on The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial indeed. So hard when men so young die, and are loved by so many. I know all too well. Thank you for posting this song.
Weatherbyrd oo

For Lt Commander Bart Creed ( childhood friend ) who is to this day, buried some where in Laos! To the 16 young man from the County I grew up in. Thank you!
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thank you. It's been so many years. Would love for his body to be found and returned to his family for proper burial. I knew this man from very early childhood. He truly was one of a kind! Thank you again! Have a nice day!
***** Your welcome, and you too.
So very sad for you, for a war that didn't do anything for anybody, I hate politicians.
I served with Lt. Creed. Navy Attack Squadron 113. I remember that day. March 13th, 1971. RIP Sir!
The Statlers would hit #6 with this on 8-5-89.

Kenny Huskisson I agree with you 100%!
Thinking of two tender souls I never got to meet. Dillard G. "Tanker" Rye and Delvin Kohler. Peace be with you and your families.
Until you hear this song, you never realize how many chills the word "recall" can give you.
If you don't tear up from watching and listening to this, you're in the wrong country.R.I.P. to all who didn't make it home and never forget the MIA's.Memorial Day,2018.

What a very special song it wants to make me cry
This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. Not only for lives lost in war, but for Mother's (and Father's) like the one the song. We were all just boys over there.
The book of life is all that matters. God does not put names on a wall.
