Do you hear noise, rattling, of internal cable routing while riding on rough road, bad patches, bumps ? I have Trek FX3 (2022), and from day one i hear rattling, but managed to fix it somehow...
@@conprogrammme23 Does not look the same like in Dual Sport gen 5. On FX3 i removed the screw in front where cables enter the tube. After that little release of plastic part, but i didnt managed to remove that plastic from entrance. And then strong pull of cables in the direction of front wheel. Three months of riding after that, and all is ok, quiet...i didn't put screw back in place.
I do like it very much, no regrets on the purchase. I am mostly using it for daily urban commuting, it is perfect. For now i haven't try a long trail ride. I'll keep you posted!
@@conprogrammme23 Hello its me again. I ordered mine today in the same color. But i have still doubts, because i was considering FX 3 model too that should be a bit faster due to bigger and narrower tires. Is dual sport fast in city?
I am 177cm. At first I hesitated between Medium and large, because I prefer bike frames that are quite short and very manageable. By analyzing the geometry of the two sizes, I quickly realized that this Trek frame model is quite short. Then I was lucky enough to find a dealer near me who had a medium copy in his showroom. Finally, I think the medium would have been a mistake. Hope this help!
@@conprogrammme23did you try the trek fx bikes? This bike seems really upright compared to fx, maybe fx better for exercise due to more aggressive stance?
@@JitinMisra I didn't try the FX due to it's geometry oriented for fitness/exercise with 700c wheels and narrow tires. Indeed the dual sport is more aggressive/mountainbike hardtail geometry. It features 650 b wheels and wider tires, providing more comfort and fun.
I just ordered mine, im hoping its faster than my current giant fathom hardtail on smooth gravel flat canal pathways.

I do like it very much, no regrets on the purchase. I am mostly using it for daily urban commuting, it is perfect. For now i haven't try a long trail ride. I'll keep you posted!
