ikr, i was already suprised since there are so few good factorio youtubers out there that are entertaining and not just educational, AND hes into not just bikes
If you want a mod that can help with lighting then I recommend Afraid of the Dark. If you don’t like the greyscale at night from night vision then that mod will fix that and some other things.
I would have those mods, but I wanted the run to be vanilla besides the time counter in the top left
But I'll remember that for any new series!

defender capsules are potentially more useful than you realize. they will sometimes attract attacks from worms and biters taking some of the pressure off of you to survive and stuff.

Dwarf Fortress had blueprint system, and it even had a script system so you could make a self-repeating blueprint. Dunno where all this stuff went with the release of Steam version.
That is part of dfhack right? the crtl+r to record and crtl+p to perform the recorded sequence is there in the current dfhack release, though it is (imo) a bit clunky when the majority of steam DF is geared towards a mouse.

dwarf fortress lazy newb pack had a blueprint mode. i could in 2 clicks basically create a bedroom level using that

did you know if you hold Z and Right click you only add 1 item to whatever you're trying to add stuff to?
this way you only add the ammo you need in your turrets when turret creeping!
You don't need to right click, just hold Z and wildly wave your cursor over turrets while holding ammo.
