- Apple Vision Pro With Prescription Lenses from Zeiss. If you wear glasses and need readers or have prescription glasses or lenses you will need this Zeiss Prescription Lens accessory for Apple Vision Pro. They attach to Vision Pro and pair to let you see the high resolution Vision Pro displays as you would with glasses. You cannot wear glasses with Vision Pro so these Zeiss Lens Adapters are the only option right now.

I was so curious about this thank you! This is incredible that you can get the prescriptions lenses made in the store... did I hear that correctly? Like I can go into the Apple Store and leave with the prescription inserts?!
That is not accurate. Apple Stores have a lensometer to measure an existing glasses prescription to let you demo a unit with sample lenses that closely match your prescription. The Zeiss inserts are only available online and ship directly from Zeiss.

I’m using these and they make a huge difference for what my eye doctor says is only minor astigmatism (doesn’t feel minor to me) only thing is now I have to order anti- fog wipes to clean them and the VPs lenses and that always concerns me because of the potential to leave scratches.
It seems the Vision Pro can have people doing close up reading or watching a movie where things are seen at a distance.
I wondered about how this would work for people who have two pairs of glasses like myself (or bifocals) one prescription for reading and a prescription for distance (watching films).
Good question: I have "computer" eyeglasses, and bifocal for driving and reading with a reduced field.
This device def has potential…excited too see the future models

Technically, you can use steam and the app from the iPad to stream games to it from your computer
@@zollotech I guess, but streaming isn’t exactly convenient for me. My ultimate dream is for Bethesda to port Skyrim to Apple devices, with full support for Apple Silicon.

Great video, although you omitted clarifying two things; 1) only a US prescription is allowed for completing the process and 2) the store you’re referencing that makes lenses ‘on the spot’ is a Zeiss or an Apple Store? 0.37 I did a Vision Pro demo at the Apple Store yesterday 😂they tried to scan my glasses but the were too big and curved
Thank you for the hands on. So what I like to know is about the quality of them. With it on, does it occurs any kind of blurriness or out of focus? I ask this because, I don’t know if mine were defective or badly manufactured, but I bought a pair of lenses on AliExpress for the Quest 2 and they let me down. The impact on image quality is big and you have to be well positioned for it to work properly.

Yes, I use progressive lenses and that’s what I put in for my prescription.

It’s supposed to be a computer replacement. So you can do all of the above.
Hi Aaron! I'm 24 and have been wearing glasses for the last 22 years. I'm currently in the process of getting my cataracts removed, so I'll be getting a new bifocal prescription in a couple months. Since my new lens implants will lock to one focal length and I will only be able to see at a fixed distance (about 7 inches away with the lower half of the bifocals), do you think I'd be able to use Vision Pro?

Doubtful. If you really want a VR headset (spatial computing is just Apple's fancy marketing term for VR), get a Meta Quest.
Hey Arron, Issue - On Apple Music; the Lyrics button is gray and not working on any song tin my library. Is this a know issue ?
I will have aphakia (absence of a lens in my right eye). It was removed by surgery. My docs will be trying to fit the eye with a contact lens, but I was wondering if inserts specific for this type of medical issue might be available. Any information you can provide would be helpful

Yes. Every time your prescription changes. Also, if you wear contacts, you don’t need these
I feel like your vision gets that much worse in a year you got bigger problems. Vision shouldn’t degrade that much for the average person.

I thought when you‘re wearing the vision pro you see through cameras and not at the real world with your eyes. So if you‘re near-sighted you shouldn‘t have a problem because you look at a screen just in front of you, right? Or are you really looking far with your eyes?

I wasn’t aware of that, but you probably should have it enabled anyway for security reasons. Otherwise you could just go to the store and book a demo there.
Do you think there will be 3rd party prescription lenses? The zeiss is out of range for my prescription so I can’t get them from zeiss
Probably not with different prescription options as you need to have them recalibrated to track your eyes.
If I buy without them (zeiss lenses) and later decide I want to get them can I do that?
Yes, you can, The lenses is sold separately .

Not all stores have it. In New York, they don’t do it in store.

I use progressive prescription lenses which handle near and far. I wonder how or if the insert lenses would work for me?
Same for me. I don't need glasses further than 3 feet away at all. I put in my prescription and it just works.
Super warped if you have a high diopter. Go with distance vision only! On my second pair, and still not right

I'd like someone with farsighted vision to try them and report how it goes. Cause I've seen a lot about myopia but nothing about farsighted eyes.
Yes he didn't say what his vision was. He did show they have a reader option which you have to assume he is not in that group. That said, i would find it interesting if some one 3d printed a frame and put cheap readers inline to make it work. Also it seems apple is working to adjust the focus, but again, not much useful info.
I never had vision issues, nor have I ever wore glasses or contact lenses. Therefore I do not need these to use the Vision Pro right?
Ofcourse not! It's quite logical that these are for people who wear glasses on a daily basis or for reading and would require to wear glasses when they are in Vision Pro to see properly. If your not someone who wears glasses on a daily basis then you don't need this.
No you dont want glasses. Never needed them until I got older. I would much rather not need them.

I’ve heard from reports with people saying no you have to have soft contact lenses or get the inserts
I have hard lenses, and it works fine! On my second pair of zeiss inserts. High astigmatism, need to try a 3rd Rx
I thought Apple is able to adjust the focal point and optics of the display for people wearing prescription glasses, but it's end up Apple did not do it! It's diappointing that we still have to put inserts.

I am not buying a 3400 unit and have my prescriptions change every year because I have a stigmatism and type two diabetes.

So instead of designing it to work with glasses, everyone in the family that wears glasses has to pay $140 for new lenses...On top of it, they don't cover my script and apparently anyone with split lenses for astigmatisms.
Mine have that and work just fine as far as split lenses for astigmatism. However, according to Apple, the device is meant to be used for one person that’s why there’s a guest mode but they don’t want you to have multiple users. They want you to buy multiple devices one for each person. Kind of crazy.

The lens machine in store does not make them on site it’s merely for getting the right demo lenses for your demo. Prescription lenses must be ordered.
You have to have two factor set up in order to schedule a demo.
