The Ferguson system as implemented on the Ferguson T-20 and the Ford N9 and later models really are the tractors that drove horses off the farm. A successful farmer could afford one and the basic implements to go with it, and show a positive return on that investment in a single season. The drive train was little different than what the car in your driveway had, so if you could maintain one you could maintain the other. My Grand father bought six of Ford's 9Ns before WW II, one for each of his sons and hired hands.
only half a million made ! there seemed to have survived through affection as much as their engineering quality. As the Govenpr said on film," I designed it with the small farmer in mind""
We have owned our TEA20 since 1980, no issues with the gears as I drove (and still do) cars with crash gear boxes. It is a matter of throttle & clutch synchronizing.
Yeah I replayed those parts. I have a Ford-Ferguson and I thought I was doing something wrong and needed to get the hang of it, or perhaps it was worn out somehow. Nope. Always did it.
Harry Ferguson a clever man to invent the 3 point linkage.
I have this tractor 🚜 since from a 45 year 😊

I would love to get ahold of one those mini models that he is pointing to towards the beginning of the video.
I love ferguson tractor
These machines are solid, we have 3 for a small piece of land in New Zealand.
Old, 3 point had two postions, digital, up or down. Served well for read blade 1/4 mile snow clearing.
Yes, and many other things. The positions were infinite on position control. You haven’t mentioned the draft control feature.

I'm currently restoring one, almost 70 years of rust takes a while to remove but it will be well worth it when I'm done
