I’ve shortened my range of motion so much I just stand in the corner of the gym and shake for an hour..... full body workout right there, you’re welcome.
True story: I was laid up and skinny AF after a bad leg break in early '17. Literally no definition anywhere. I've been exclusively using Ryan's techniques since then (after wasting some time on other workout channels). From 175lbs, up to my heaviest of my life 202 lbs, and now back down to 183 and getting teased about being a 'Roid Boy on Twitter... never touched them - the only supps I take are Syntha-6 protein and creatine, and I turn 52yo this month. Thank you Ryan, you really helped me make that "mind-muscle" connection like no one else! Keep making these great vids! 👍🏽
Nice work brother! I became an instant fan of Ryan myself. He’s straight to the point and cuts through the bull s**t like no other fitness content creator I know of. I just turned 40 this year and I shuddered at the fact, but content like Ryan’s and success stories like yours are the nudge I need every now and again to keep going and keep growing.
@@truthundertension 40 is very young trust me. I've hung out with enough military retirees in the gym to give me perspective. Here's a simple rule they gave me, if you died and no one asks the reason after learning your age then you're def old otherwise you're young. So forget the number and move, life is a gift.
Since I've shortened my range of motion and started going lighter for longer I've finally noticed some real gains again. It seems like pumping the muscle for longer works for me, for now.
Dropped every exercises weight a bit then pushed for 25- 30 per set. Also added another set to everything. Focusing on keeping the tension all the time. For me I was loosing tension where I wanted it with heavier wieght. It's been 5 weeks and it feels good. Less joint pain and more of that sweet muscle pain.
Tore my rotator cuff this spring and have been trying to find a work around. Putting surgery off for 6 months but don't want to stop working out. Could use some advice. Thanks!
Really respect how this dude emphasizes proper form and technique! He actually represents the art of physique and real body building/improving and training!
That's enough ! I've been following a lot of training bodybuilding channels on UA-cam for the last 10 years but Mr Ryan Humiston is the top . Not one of the top this Chanel is the top.Every video is something real something valuable more than going to gym working out and don't know what you doing. I think times are hard these days and I would definitely support patreon and many would probably as well as a thank you for the knowledge most of the people on UA-cam failing to provide . Thanks! Hi from Europe
I agree...I really started using his videos during covid and my gains just from bodyweight exercises and pull-ups have been noticeable! I dont actually have a need for any other fitness channel than this💎 and I live in Casablanca 🇲🇦🌡🏝🍑🍰☕🧿....get it brother👊🏿
I have been working out at home for 5 years with dumbells to 90 lbs, a couple lengths of chain and some rubber bands...I could never exploit them to get results the way you have allowed me for the last few months. Rang of motion to focus on the muscle, mind-muscle connection and high reps...you are no bs!! Keep em coming!! FYI, the humor is awesome!
Gotten my best back/tricep gains within the last month..still the only training I'm following. Ultimate package of smartass humor, no hype + straightforward design..lovin' every second!
Ryan is literally the best UA-camr when it comes to weight exercises, he’s been helping me with the dumbbells at home with new exercises to do to keep it fun and making me feel the burn lol this guy is so underrated.
Don't know if you care much about my opinion but personally, doing high rep pull up workouts and dead hangs had wonders on forearm size and grip strength.
The first guy that answered you has a great exercise. Another great forearm/wrist exercise are straight bar twists. Learned it in the boxing gym. Take a straight bar (not an Olympic straight bar) and put 5's on each side (to start). Hold the bar at groin level and twist forward for 30 seconds. Then, without a break, start twisting backwards. 1 minute total. Do that 3 times and thank me later.
Two things about Ryan's videos. 1) Always make me laugh. 2) Persuaded me to buy a couple of dumbbells and start exercising. The second is a far greater achievement than the first.
excellent explanations, I´ve watched training vids for 10 years you really stand out in the way you explain complicated things in a simple way. nice job
Ryan, over the last three months I have used many of your video tips focusing on lighter weights and muscle isolation and found them to freaken work! The video you put out on deltoid work with really high reps has finally after years of no real change has finally caused my rear and lateral delts to pop. Thanks man for the short, concise, humerous and informative videos.
The v handle lat pull downs you showed in another video where you lean forward on the way up and lean back on the way down, has given me more lat growth in 3 back sessions than ever before in my entire time working out. Love your videos. Thank you Ryan!
Hey Ryan. By far the best channel on UA-cam. Did a back workout today using a lot of your ideas and had a great connection. And actually threw up a little in my mouth so feel like I’m in the right track. Keep up the good work man!
Here are three Pro-mo tips I wanted to share with you on back training. Straight arm pull downs with EZ bar and incline bench for greater ROM. You could use a straight bar as well. Multi tool for rows. This is incredible bigger ROM and I can lift 20% more weight this way. Or you can use 2 single hand paddles and a chain link. Slanted double D for pull downs and landmine rows.
I appreciate you doing these videos. I think they are the single most important step in my workouts since restarting. I’m old and weak. My biggest struggle is joint pain.
Hello Ryan. I follow you from France. You are not so easy to understand for my side but I love so much what you are doing. Thanks for your skill you are sharing with us. I tried today your back training and I love it. I got very good sensations on my lower lat. Thanks so much 👍👍👍
Love all your vids, no bullshit, straight to the point. Always humor which I love and Great to look at. Best in UA-cam especially during covid. Thank you. I don’t mind being apart of the megs.
done this version of the seated cable rows now 3 times cant believe how much better i connect with the minor tweeks to the form... still waiting for someone to ask me WTF im doing ha
Thank you for the vid. The last one I was something I needed. I've been layed out for 5 months with a herniated disc and a couple of bulging discs. Again thank you for saving me from fishing my spine out of the toilet. Cheers
Try this last lift more parallel and unilateral with same leg spread out. Opposite arm propping upper body up just slightly. It will light you whole lat if you wrap it around. This works well for me
Hey Ryan thank you so much for all your videos , they are extremely beneficial. My request to you is to show me only dumbell exercises for my back as cant go to the gym because of Covid . Thank you highly appreciated.
Love your vids. I have built a complete workout from all your different posts that has completely changed my workouts, the way I workout and how much more growth and development I'm seeing now. Could you do a video on trap development that doesn't involve heavy weight or fancy equipment. I'm still working out in my garage and I only have 275 pounds, some dumbells and a lot of bands.
There is one Machine that might work well its originally Made for deadlift type movements ive trainee traps on it succesfully it looks like dip bar with the two handles put it goes up instead. Love that machine but its kinda hare to find one.. peace

out of all the videos this one was the most simplistic and effective! Thanks you!!! I’m gonna try this ASAP and will I experience any pain in my lower lat after working out??

Well done. Please can you do a video for Quads training with bad knees such like me I am 53 and training for many years I tried your way gave me heel of pain but other body parts works well for me. Thanks
Deadlifts with the perfect amount of back rounding have helped me a lot, round the upper and middle part of the back and Dont forget to engage the core for safety measues. My lower lats are definetely my best body part. My personal opinion ofcourse, high risk high reward.

Same here
How do I do that? Do I come halfway down for benchpress but use lighter weights then press up?
Mocsey Mocsey nah still get a good range of motion. Just do lighter weight than usual and try for higher reps, like 20-30

You would have even more gains if you went full ROM, especially on lats. loading them from the full stretch is full recruitment.
Vid on sumo deadlifts, barbell squats for those with lower back problems, and/or rotator cuff.
