Another excellent video. I heard a minicab driver tell me that as part of the training (where they were) they are only allowed to wait at a junction or red light for 6 seconds before driving off.

Of all the sheisters in these clips, the grey Audi A4 deliberately splashing the cyclist is not just yobbish, I think that it is actually against the law since the last changes made to the highway code. So let's do a bit of a doxing excercise! The registration number is not very visible, but I managed to work out that it is FV10 MVH
thanks to the MOT checker website. I'm not sure when this clip was taken, but I hope that driver gets nicked.
I hate these types of drivers, one drenched me a few months back on my ride home from school and the water was freezing, he also splashed a lady pushing a pram. What the A'hole didn't see was the police car 3 cars back who quickly pulled him over. I yelled 'thank you' to the police officer as I rode past and got a thumbs up from him
It always been illegal to soak somone when driving through puddles, a friend reported a car driver back in the late 70s and driver was fined

Taxi drivers are exempt to all traffic laws!

And Voi's have extra special exemption from stopping at red lights (literally more that ignore than obey in Bristol) and allowed to ride on pavements etc and just "expect" you to move out their way so they don't loose a few seconds of their valuable time!

2.20 For some reason people think that slip lane means "I must just pull out without stopping and checking its clear then wonder why drive behind is suddenly beeping and flashing their lights with rightful anger! Such a normal sight at that particular junction! (And the Symonds Yat/A49 spot as well)
Know both of those junctions well, and you're not wrong!
Because they're too stupid to realise that a slip road/lane is classed as a junction. They even have the dotted lines indicating "give way". Just proves the growing problem of entitled motorists

Most drivers can't see beyond their dashboard and then its still the innocent drivers fault! Anyone's fault but their own! *sigh*
0:51 A good example of why you need to slow down and give way to pedestrians when turning at a junction, at when passing a school with a warning sign that children will be about. Remember roads are pedestrian rights of way and pedestrian are allowed to use any lane carriageway. It is the responsibility of drivers to avoid hitting pedestrians who are already on the carriageway.
This is the thing that always gets me, and one of the best reasons to protect yourself by getting a dash cam ......
If a pedestrian walks into the road without even looking at whether or not it is safe to do so (had 2 do that just this week!), and they do so suddenly, so that the driver had absolutely no idea they were even thinking of attempting to cross the road, the pedestrian will always claim it was the driver's fault and the HWC says the pedestrian had right of way because they were in the road. The law sides with the pedestrian, even though the pedestrian exhibited no common sense or has any idea of what self-preservation is!
I don't disagree that drivers should take due care around pedestrians at junctions and crossings where pedestrians are likely to want to cross, however, when it's implied that drivers are responsible to protect the imbeciles who don't look before crossing, cross 4 lanes of 40mph traffic when there's a dedicated crossing just 50ft away or those that clearly have suicidal tendencies or wish to prove Darwin's Law, then you have to ask yourself which bunch of muppets (Sorry Jim!) was responsible for bringing this ridiculous state of affairs into law?!
There's nothing wrong with trying to protect the vulnerable, but the downright stupid ones who cross roads without looking are the same ones who scald themselves trying to chug down a hot beverage they have literally just watched be boiled with steam in front of them, and then try to sue the coffee shop because they didn't know it was hot!
It would be nice if there was a test for common sense!
Driver was a bit sweary and shouting to what were at the end of the day just two kids playing, but I'm guessing that was fright and shock that provoked the reaction. Drivers cannot be too cautious in built up areas with children around, they aren't all mature and responsible enough to understand their actions on or near a live carriageway.
@@GadgetMeisterUKI take it you are referring in general to adults who would of course be expected to use common sense and their maturity to do things correctly whether as drivers or pedestrians, but in this case it was children playing and we can't expect the same level of behaviour and so it behoves the vehicle driver to be the responsible one and drive with appropriate care towards them

We need a common sense test! If you can't work out that it's a stupid idea to run into a road when there's traffic around, then you shouldn't be allowed outside unsupervised!
It's society's need to cater to the lowest common denominator, like being forced for H&S reasons to put a Dymo label on a kettle in an office to say "caution this might be hot", which I find utterly ridiculous!
@GadgetMeisterUK Shame it is tho, its not just a lack of Common Sense, but the worsening f*ck you attitude in society.....I'll walk out in front of you, the law will give me a nice payout and a month in hospital is fine coz ill treat it as a holiday. Or it seems that's their way of thinking.
