Absolutely agree. The bass doen not only give rhythm but has its own very clear identity with tons of feelings in here. People may like or dislike Roger Waters as a person but as a bassist he’s outstanding and extremely talented and creative. Floyd was not the same without him even though I personally love Division Bell too
Becauae it is very simple. The signature sound of the song is produced by Dave's guitar parts, which in this version are not as polished and sofisticated as later ones
@@gautamv952 Gilmi had problems singing in tune since the early 70s or even before. Did you ever hear him butcher "The Narrow Way"? He wrote the thing but apparently could only hit the high notes in the studio.
I wish I was alive during the 60s and 70s only because of the music. My dad and I were supposed to see Roger in September but with covid I don’t know if that’ll happen. Pink Floyd is my favorite band and I wish I was alive during their peak, but the fact that they exist in the same 100 years as me is insane.

I was there as well. I don't seem to remember the fireworks though...wait, maybe I do! Who knows. 😊 I definitely remember every type of smoking apparatus imaginable being passed around my entire section. Try doing that today. Those were the days alright. It sure was great growing up in the 70's. Best era of music ever. My Other memorable MSG shows include...Yes in the round, ELP with 70 piece orchestra, Dylan and Neil Young on back to back nights!...Genesis right after Peter Gabriel left. Rod Stewart, Black Sabbath as well. Damn, the memories...
Thank you for remastering the best version of wywh out there. I have the rest of this concert as an mp3 file I don’t suppose you would consider remastering the rest …
Yeah, he seemed to shout more in the earlier shows. Don't know if he was pumped up/nervous or just couldn't hear well. Such a difference between these shows and The Wall, he sounds so good there.
wow, rick's keyboard solo is just perfect
the 1977 live versions are the best versions of this song
The '77 live versions of all songs are preferred imo
Roger's bass playing is just brilliant here. Lends a new dimension to the song.
Most basic stuff

Just timeless. Also why is nobody talking about Roger's bassline!

Because it's in tune for a change?
@@TheRattking The funny thing is that Dave's vocals are all over the place on this one.

No matter what, I'm thinking of my Grandpa Gene and my Uncle Mark when I hear this song. R.I.P guys
RIP to them, I'm very sad to say that the song isn't about loss... :(
So sorry for your loss. But I love hearing Roger sing this
No matter what….that’s Badfinger dumb arse
what a great outro from Rick!
Rick Whright was a very awesome keyboardist!
That piano solo from Wright is just gorgeous!
I wish no one ever say word ‘greatest’ again.

Absolutely amazing music
Roger Waters 2022 north america tour, congratulations, you Will have the chance once again, maybe the last time
I wish i was there with you
One of the greatest songs ever! ❤️

.أتمنى وجودك
i was at MSG that night, people were lighting off fireworks, but eventually the band won, what a ride.
I was there as well. I don't seem to remember the fireworks though...wait, maybe I do!

The best "Did you exchange...?" singing ❤
Rick 🥺
Wish they remaster this beautiful live 😍
Electric guitar solo just hits different, love this performance
best recording of Pink Floyd.
was at this show with my buddy RIP LOOSE BRUCE.
seen them july 2nd MSG, greatest show EVER.
David Gilmour Wish You Were Here, un mito, poi quando suona la sua chitarra ti fa sognare e viaggiare

I wish l could get any of this concert as an mp3!!
Ì love PINK FLOYD ❤
Qué pieza más hermosa
Amazing !!
love this song
I love this version
Excellent :-) ROCK ON!!!!!!!
Was this Boston or MSG? If it is 2/7/77 then it's MSG. Boston was 6/27. Just curious...
Either way it's awesome!!
Michelle Schepper in the description says Boston but it’s wrong, this is a the MSG. The one at Boston was another day

I think the guitar solo was by Snowy White, right ?
shuichiono snowy played acoustic on this one
@@gorethunk Yes, and Roger bass.
Nice
Someone has Tabs for this solos?
What I love most about this remix, is how David's vocals drown Roger's. just saying...
What kind of phrasing was Gilmour going for? Sounds ghastly. And I love Floyd.
Yeah, he seemed to shout more in the earlier shows. Don't know if he was pumped up/nervous or just couldn't hear well. Such a difference between these shows and The Wall, he sounds so good there.
Why did he have to sing it out of time lol
I wish that was Roger singing that not David
Actually it's both of them singing the last verse both times, their voices blend really nice!!
Waters voice wouldn't have worked on this. Gilmours voice is iconic on this song.
