For the pizza/cheese problem. I just thought since the recipe served 12 people but your serving 48 that’s 48/12=4. So you would need to multiply the recipe by 4. 2 cups cheese X 4 = 8. You need 8 cups of cheese so minimum would be 3 bags.

For The recipe pizza question I did it another way. I see that you only did it one way. Will I be able to do it that way without doing dimensional analysis ?

Absolutely. For nearly any math problem, especially word problems, there are multiple ways to solve it and still get the correct solution.
