Great tips on how to keep the moisture in opened, stored clay. I would not have thought of adding a wipe. I'd have just put the clay bag in a sealed plastic bag.
Hi Nicholas I saw the Katy Sue products and just had to get them. I have been making paper and Foamiran flowers mainly roses so I wanted to try some Air Clay as I have never made any. I have bought quite few moulds but can ordinary cutters and dies be used also. Thank you for introducing me to a new hobby. xxx
Loving your videos so helpful as just starting out on clay flowers with moulds do I have to use cornflower in the small moulds as you do with when making sugar flowers ,so the clay comes out better ,bought your books too loving the way they turn out thank you again for all your help jakki
Hi Jakki, we're so happy you're enjoying your flower making. If you are having any issues releasing the clay from the mould then yes you can use a little cornflour before using the mould 💚
Hi Jackie, yes you can order Flower Pro products direct from our US website katysuedesigns.us.com/collections/flower-pro-molds-and-veiners If you want to give air drying clay a go you can also find that here katysuedesigns.us.com/collections/clay
Hi Paty, we are sorry to say our books are not available in digital form. We do have online classes, which are also available in USB format, that include digital written instructions. Take a look here katysuedesigns.com/collections/flower-pro-master-classes We hope you continue to enjoy the many videos from Chef Nicholas Lodge.
Hi Debbie, air drying clay can still absorb moisture when dried so could become soft if left out in the rain for instance. You could varnish the clay to make it water resistant but this may change the look of your project. Generally it is best to display air drying clay flowers indoors, hope that helps :)
Hi I’ve been using the Hearty Clay and have a question about it. How do stick dry clay to dry clay? Glue? I used your peony mold but let the outside petals dry over a former. Now I’m having difficulty attaching them to the dry centre.
@@KatySueDesigns Thank you, gave up on that as didn’t stick well. I used fresh petals and they stuck to dry clay (but couldn’t have them shaped as I wished).
Yes I’m using that one but I was trying to make a different sort of peony that needs different outer petals. Thank you for advice. I’m now just making the one in this video 😁.

Thank you for answering ive never made sugar flowers mine have been paper and foamiran but I can't resist making roses in various medium as long as they look like roses in the end. I made 4 buds yesterday so tomorrow I will try butting petals on them well on one. xx
You can mix edible dusts with a little alcohol but will give a very different look. The dusts are a lot more subtle and allow you to gradually increase intensity of the colour from the natural paste colour to full dense dusted colour.
Hi Tanya, this particular video is working with air drying clay so it is not edible. We have plenty other videos working with sugarpaste. You can check out our Making Sugar Roses tutorial here ua-cam.com/video/RK1GwnxfiRY/v-deo.html

Hi, yes if the petals are not wired then a PVA glue should work fine in securing clay to clay. Let us know how you get on with your project
