Absolutely love this watch. Its such a functional design - yet looks surprisingly elegant. Its german design at its best. To me, its like a modern take on the Rolex Explorer: its handles the tasks at hand, and looks good due to its functionality.

I have the black dial and after 4 months of ownership, i'd say go for the rubber strap. Super comfortable and unique tool-like design. Also saying that because the clasp on the bracelet is uncomfortable with sharp edges and an extension clasp that is a nightmare to keep in place. This beautiful watch deserves better than that.

Love the blue Pro Mare too, its my next "expensive" watch, these things are soo cool and minimal, designed like a gun or a knife, function dictates form...I'm gonna sub.

Is the rubber bezel replaceable? In Texas, rubber degrades pretty rapidly. That's my only concern.

I would of liked the watch to have been updated with True and Effective Anti- Magnetic protection. In the last twenty years, since this watch was,launched, more magnetism from electronic devices, is a growing issue. Missed opportunity?

Thanks Ben! Definitely is a cool watch and the new band works very well with it. Appreciate the feedback on the dust! We will do our best to keep them dust free in the future, but sometimes it gets tricky especially with other more gloss watches

Wow . Its better than a G-shock! I wonder why they still wearing these in a mission. Is it the price?
A G Shock is like $100 whereas this is $2400. A G Shock is more accurate and has more functions and doesn't require servicing and if you damage a Casio you can just replace it. The only real advantage of this is it is cooler.
Will that rubber last on the bezel .? Lovely Watch though.

This is probably subjective. But wonder how it looks on smaller wrist size i.e. 6" and 6.5"? Anyone can share their photo with the watch on the wrist of the mentioned size? Thanks.
Can the bead blasted steel of the muhle SAR be refinished from scratches and dings ?
Can be refinished, but in our experience the sar case will not scratch easily. Youll most likely not feel it necessary for 10+ years. Very tough watch.

As a watch made to be abused and resist hard beating , it is a bad idea to make the bezel from rubber that will get worn out and dinged and scratchesd easily..
It should be better made of some sort of hardened metal ..

Just 2 years and ding will be all over this rubber bezel and will ruin the looks of the watch ..
Although metal also can be dinged and scratched , but also metal can be refinished easily ..
