Axolotl’s are critically endangered in the wild due to urbanisation and habitat destruction, BUT the ones you can buy as pets are bred in captivity. Interestingly there are actually thought to be more captive bred axolotls in The World than wild ones. Wild axolotls wouldn’t really be worth trying to capture / hunt for sale as they would be incredibly difficult to locate and don’t have the same colour morphs as captive bred axolotls. Wild axolotls are dark in coloration whereas captive bred range in colour from albino white to pink, yellow and black. Anyway the point is that having an axolotl as a pet wouldn’t really have any effect on the wild population.

That is why he had sabotaged the fruit cart to not be able to move or be carried afterwards. Also he made sure only apples were carried, means he knew the fruit could only turn back into an apple.

Sunset By Moonlight, this is why I think that tekking’s theory doesn’t really work. Imo it’s more likely that though powers can only have one fruit type, but can resurface anywhere in the world. This means, both the barrier and face powers just luckily revived in the East Blue, and the flare fruit just manifested itself somewhere in the New World, whether in Dressrosa or other, and was found by Doflamingo during his random tours of places via cloud attached strings
I went to rehab for a few months and decided to take a break from UA-cam and manga after getting out. I caught up in one piece first and have been slowly going back and watching all the tekking vids I missed and it’s great to hear about the head cannon and theories in these before we found out truths (like all the denjiro ideas)

I personally think that Devil Fruits fly away to any fruit in the world at random. So a Devil Fruit eater dies in Wano, the fruit's essence is choosing its next container and flies there, doesn't matter if it's in East Blue or somewhere else. At Punk Hazard, we saw the fruit transferring to the apple nearby, which might've been chosen at random or there was a reason for that (it's freaking cold). In Blackbeard's case, he might've had a fruit with him. Here's something interesting, Teach can pull Devil Fruit eaters to himself (as he did with Ace and Luffy), so the same might apply to the essence itself, as it was not said that he pulls the regular bodies, but Devil Fruit affected ones (so the Devil Fruit essence is what causes you to move, be pulled). This would also explain why Logia's are forced to be "deactivated" if it comes to physical harm immunity - the essence moves from the whole body to just one spot. This would mean that Devil Fruits don't escape right upon reducing HP to 0, but they still stay there for a little bit (remember that Ace died, were still burning with his fire and then he died to death) - maybe the essence is forming a fruit before leaving. This would be enough for Blackbeard to pull the essence and force it to go to the apple he had and then eat it. Or in other words, Teach's Dark Dark fruit is the "god" or Devil Fruits that allow him to manipulate the essence however he wants to, therefore he forced the Devil Fruit essence to go to an apple or whatever fruit he had to then eat it and have the effect. Ace's fruit already left before Whitebeard died, so it was impossible to pull it along with Tremor Tremor fruit. I think that Doflamingo didn't have the fruit since Ace died. What would be the reason for holding onto it for 2 years? He already had few members that didn't eat any Devil Fruits, so if he had it 2 years ago, he'd give it to Delinger or someone else and after 2 years, when Luffy got to Dressrosa, Straw Hats would lose (or they'd have a ton of issues in general, Luffy might've lost a leg or two, Zoro a heart or two etc), because the Doflamingo Family would be even stronger (and Delinger was a pain anyway).
Here's an idea. What if once Big Mom ate Mother Caramel, she also ate a fruit that was close during her "episode"? That fruit would have transformed into the Soul-Soul Fruit, and hence would then grant Big Mom that ability.
Ok so a couple theories. A devil fruit soul or spirit is naturally attracted to living things. The reason fruit is such a conductor because it's an organism (if you will) that isnt inhabited with a soul already. A person can eat it and share the vessel together. It's difficult to tame another spirit while already having a devil fruit because they will fight each other. So another theory is that when obtained directly from the host, devil fruit spirits will be "tamed" already and wont fight back (how blackbeard has 2 df?). Also when obtained from host, the receiver will have done knowledge or affinity for it already as it would be inherited from the previous host. This would explain how black beard and big mom were quickly proficient with their newly acquired devil fruit.

No one APPARENTLY has this school of thought going on but what I think is this: Each devil fruit has a specific kind of fruit which it inhibits but it doesn't have to be the closest one to the point where the previous user died because why would it be obliged to do that it doesn't make sense.
Tekking, I had a thought about this during your video. If a fruit that inherited the DF power rots away or dies (as fruit do), do you think it just repeats the cycle and again travels to the nearest fruit. Assuming no one finds the original, it would keep skipping around the nearest fruits until someone eventually finds and eats it. This could be a way for fruits to travel potentially long distances if it takes a long time for someone to find it.
it's always possible that Kiado gave the fruits to members of his crew. Since members of his crew are the only ones allowed freely come and go from Wano they might have left Wano and then died resulting in the fruits being accidentally reincarnated on a ship heading to the east.
Theory: What if the people in the ancient kingdom had very powerful Wills/Spirits/Haki and they could manifest their power like Zoro's Asura or Sanji's Hell Fire. This could have brought the attention of governments around the world. Out of fear of the ancient kingdoms power and abilities, the governments combined to takeout the ancient kingdom. when the new world government committed genocide of the ancient kingdom, the citizens Wills/Spirits/Haki were reincarnated. Do to the great tragedy and the High level of emotions the peoples Wills/Spirits/Haki were reborn inside fruits. This is how the devil fruits came to be.

The big world building problem with it being the nearest fruit of any kind, is that it would result in islands having specific "ancestral fruits" that would continuously reincarnate on the sane island until someone expressely moves them out of that island then dies. Ya now in the Great Pirate Era that makes sense but we know long distance sailing has not been super common until relatively recently except for a handful of factions. I really can't see Oda making such a rookie mistake with his world building. I think all Devil Fruits have a specific fruit theh reincarnate into but with some it changes the fruit's appearance more than others. It would make more sense than the nearest fruit of any kind.

Works like sperm fertilizing ova. Faster one gets to merge, the other dies. Well it wont die but it would go search for another one
The second Devil/spirit/power o whatever is inside the Devil Fruit travel to the second nearest Fruit, even is this Fruit is on the other side of the World

Sunset By Moonlight, this is why I think that tekking’s theory doesn’t really work. Imo it’s more likely that though powers can only have one fruit type, but can resurface anywhere in the world. This means, both the barrier and face powers just luckily revived in the East Blue, and the flare fruit just manifested itself somewhere in the New World, whether in Dressrosa or other, and was found by Doflamingo during his random tours of places via cloud attached strings

I went to rehab for a few months and decided to take a break from UA-cam and manga after getting out. I caught up in one piece first and have been slowly going back and watching all the tekking vids I missed and it’s great to hear about the head cannon and theories in these before we found out truths (like all the denjiro ideas)

@Tekking101 (This comment is made before watching) I’ve tried asking before, but in the case of Brook, when would his fruit be reborn? Would it be after his second death or once it has been activated upon the initial death? Could that mean there are other individuals who have had two lives or are walking skeletons? Yes, I know that would require the soul not returning in time, but still, it is a fair question.

What happens if one destroys a devil fruit? Lets say Franky just steps on the salamander apple devil fruit after smiley died. Is the power just destroyed and gone for all eternity. Does its soul search for the next empty fruit? Remains the power in the remains of the fruit, so that you have to eat the mush from the ground? Does Frankys foot get the salamander power? So many questions...

Can we just acknowledge how essential Mr. 2 fruit is when when it comes to taking over countries, Its lowkey one of the best non battle devil fruits of all time..!!! Alabasta and Wano has both fallen victim to it. The fruit power is island level lol.
I personally think that Devil Fruits fly away to any fruit in the world at random. So a Devil Fruit eater dies in Wano, the fruit's essence is choosing its next container and flies there, doesn't matter if it's in East Blue or somewhere else.
At Punk Hazard, we saw the fruit transferring to the apple nearby, which might've been chosen at random or there was a reason for that (it's freaking cold).
In Blackbeard's case, he might've had a fruit with him. Here's something interesting, Teach can pull Devil Fruit eaters to himself (as he did with Ace and Luffy), so the same might apply to the essence itself, as it was not said that he pulls the regular bodies, but Devil Fruit affected ones (so the Devil Fruit essence is what causes you to move, be pulled). This would also explain why Logia's are forced to be "deactivated" if it comes to physical harm immunity - the essence moves from the whole body to just one spot. This would mean that Devil Fruits don't escape right upon reducing HP to 0, but they still stay there for a little bit (remember that Ace died, were still burning with his fire and then he died to death) - maybe the essence is forming a fruit before leaving. This would be enough for Blackbeard to pull the essence and force it to go to the apple he had and then eat it. Or in other words, Teach's Dark Dark fruit is the "god" or Devil Fruits that allow him to manipulate the essence however he wants to, therefore he forced the Devil Fruit essence to go to an apple or whatever fruit he had to then eat it and have the effect.
Ace's fruit already left before Whitebeard died, so it was impossible to pull it along with Tremor Tremor fruit.
I think that Doflamingo didn't have the fruit since Ace died. What would be the reason for holding onto it for 2 years? He already had few members that didn't eat any Devil Fruits, so if he had it 2 years ago, he'd give it to Delinger or someone else and after 2 years, when Luffy got to Dressrosa, Straw Hats would lose (or they'd have a ton of issues in general, Luffy might've lost a leg or two, Zoro a heart or two etc), because the Doflamingo Family would be even stronger (and Delinger was a pain anyway).
Here's an idea. What if once Big Mom ate Mother Caramel, she also ate a fruit that was close during her "episode"? That fruit would have transformed into the Soul-Soul Fruit, and hence would then grant Big Mom that ability.
Ok so a couple theories. A devil fruit soul or spirit is naturally attracted to living things. The reason fruit is such a conductor because it's an organism (if you will) that isnt inhabited with a soul already. A person can eat it and share the vessel together. It's difficult to tame another spirit while already having a devil fruit because they will fight each other. So another theory is that when obtained directly from the host, devil fruit spirits will be "tamed" already and wont fight back (how blackbeard has 2 df?). Also when obtained from host, the receiver will have done knowledge or affinity for it already as it would be inherited from the previous host. This would explain how black beard and big mom were quickly proficient with their newly acquired devil fruit.

No one APPARENTLY has this school of thought going on but what I think is this: Each devil fruit has a specific kind of fruit which it inhibits but it doesn't have to be the closest one to the point where the previous user died because why would it be obliged to do that it doesn't make sense.
Tekking, I had a thought about this during your video. If a fruit that inherited the DF power rots away or dies (as fruit do), do you think it just repeats the cycle and again travels to the nearest fruit. Assuming no one finds the original, it would keep skipping around the nearest fruits until someone eventually finds and eats it. This could be a way for fruits to travel potentially long distances if it takes a long time for someone to find it.
it's always possible that Kiado gave the fruits to members of his crew. Since members of his crew are the only ones allowed freely come and go from Wano they might have left Wano and then died resulting in the fruits being accidentally reincarnated on a ship heading to the east.
Theory: What if the people in the ancient kingdom had very powerful Wills/Spirits/Haki and they could manifest their power like Zoro's Asura or Sanji's Hell Fire. This could have brought the attention of governments around the world. Out of fear of the ancient kingdoms power and abilities, the governments combined to takeout the ancient kingdom. when the new world government committed genocide of the ancient kingdom, the citizens Wills/Spirits/Haki were reincarnated. Do to the great tragedy and the High level of emotions the peoples Wills/Spirits/Haki were reborn inside fruits. This is how the devil fruits came to be.

No, I think it needs to be specific type of fruit of the devil fruit, but I also think those apples were there because the user was going to die. They were carrying it to capture the fruit if the smiley dies basically.

The big world building problem with it being the nearest fruit of any kind, is that it would result in islands having specific "ancestral fruits" that would continuously reincarnate on the sane island until someone expressely moves them out of that island then dies. Ya now in the Great Pirate Era that makes sense but we know long distance sailing has not been super common until relatively recently except for a handful of factions. I really can't see Oda making such a rookie mistake with his world building. I think all Devil Fruits have a specific fruit theh reincarnate into but with some it changes the fruit's appearance more than others. It would make more sense than the nearest fruit of any kind.
my theory is when the user dies the fruit travels to the nearest type of fruit it was. the apple sized fruits would travel to the nearest apple. since Caesar knew what type of devil fruit his pets devil fruit was so he knew to keep a few apples around.
