Söngvakeppnin is always the NF I'm hyped for since I study Icelandic in college. And Iceland didn't disappoint ! None of these songs feel like a top 10 result in Eurovision, but they're so true to Iceland and to their Nordic alt pop repertoire. I love all the songs but Bashar Murad's with my top 3 being on repeat on my Spotify since this morning :
1. CeaseTone
2. Blankiflúr
3. Sunny
i love this selection, it's straight up music made for me. i don't care if it doesn't have huge ESC bangers, i just love these songs for what they are. CeaseTone, Heiðrún Anna and Blankiflúr are my faves but they are all excellent. dásamlegt!

Þú ert svo ótrúlega góður í íslensku 😊 Fun review you have here, there are some quite interesting songs and performers this year, I love Bashar and would be so proud of my county to send a palestinian artist to Eurovision but I just wish the song was better! Ró is my fave for sure but I hope they stick to icelandic if they win 😊

Ceasetone is so underrated!
CeaseTone is really underrated in this competition. I wasn't a big fan of it during the first listen, but now it's my favorite by far. It's so catchy! Another fun fact: he's currently a band member of Daði Freyr (not Daði & Gagnamagnið).
Iceland could easily be coming for the win they probably would've had in 2020. Though I can imagine that we don't get to enjoy them in Sweden 😞
RÓ is the only one I really love.
Fiđrildi is good too, but RÓ is the best one in Söngvakeppnin & I can see myself putting it in my top 5 when we have all the songs because in some way it reminds me of Latvia last year which ended up being my winner.
I like Hera Bjork the most❤

Bashim is overrated. A very decent radiosong. But stop. Its come from Iceland, than its very good.
