Sweet video Remy, love Brittany's riding. You can see her fitness with the how she can throw her bike around at will and her great line choice's are enhanced by her skiing. The kind of video that gets me stoked to ride. Thanks to you both!
She does throw the bike around. But I would say a bit too much. Every time she lifts that rear wheel and repositions it she is shifting more weight to the front and there fore into her arms as well as asking her back tire to regain traction. I would love to see her do a second run following Remy then a third with her leading and see if she makes any adjustments to her lines and technique.
The most insane thing about Remy's Videos is seeing him follow all these extremely talented riders without seeming stressed at all. It just seems effortless for him - talking about all the things going on. Insane.. Great stuff Remy!
Almost a year after I saw you quickly at the top of Whistler with your filming crew and you recommended me this trail from your most recent video I am finally back in Whistler and finally did it. So good. Also re-watch your entire video as the speed you two carry is just impressive. I did not do the super steep roll, it is so much bigger and steeper than on video :). Thanks Remy! 👍
Hey Remy Mètaillèr! Greetings from Port Coquitlam BC Canada! I lived in Whistler from 1983 to 1993! I was a ski tech in winters and a bike tech for the summers of 1985 to 1989! So much fun! Thanks for all your fine vids! Ride ride ride!
Man, I could watch her ride all day! Such a fun style. Throws her bike around to adjust line choice better than anyone I’ve ever seen. I gotta do more of that Need to ride Dark Crystal again. Such a long, steep road pedal…
That is a sweet looking trail! I have to say, seeing Whistler in the title almost turned me off watching this. I'm pretty tired of all the jump line videos - you've watched one, you've watched them all. Brittany rocks that trail too. I think having a playful attitude to riding trails can only help make people better riders, including for racing. It just trains the rider to be able to use whatever terrain they're given to make of it what they will. I'd love to see her racing bikes more. Also interesting to see Rémy wear gloves in this video - but not when it's barely above freezing in his winter videos, LOL!
If that trail was in South Africa the builders would spend all the time and money building waist high berms and moving all of the rocks out of the way...Be thankful for what you got dude, so amazing :)
I bet she could have spun those peddles practically the whole way in a high gear, accelerating downhill. Dual sport, and an Olympian that placed? Impressive!
Ski Cross basically a no holds barred race to the finish first one to the bottom wins obviously the role some rules but not many it’s fun to watch you never know who’s going to win last winter Olympics one of the most dramatic Ending to a race three people cross the line at the same time all on their bellies
it's like some ppl found the rhythm of nature, when they move it seems like dancing :} so i just rebuild the shock on my trek y11 watch out everyone :}
Great videos like usually I have a question Do you have any tips how to follow someone down a trail? I have a big problem to do that , I loose balance and I feel very unstable on the bike due to the movements of the rider in the front. I feel like i can’t look very well a head of the rider in front to see the trail coming and if I watch the rider in front I start to anticipate way too much my movements. Hope this make any sense hahah but thanks for any advice
Like in car racing or moto racing..."look through" the person in front of you. Ok to get cues from watching the way their bike reacts...but dont focus on them. Focus where you want to go.
It helps if you have a similar riding style as the person you're trying to shadow. If you like to pop and your partner likes to hug the trail it makes things more difficult to trust their line.
Be confident on the rider in front of you. If you know the rider knows the trail well, and won’t take any unnecessary stupid risks, then it should be safer and more confidence inspiring to stay close behind. But, if they are more new and less skilled it might be scary as you won’t necessarily know where they brake, and how big of a possibility it is that they might crash. Important that you’re confident on your brakes and the grip in case of an accident.
They say professional skiing gives you extra beefy legs and core muscles - here you can see how that pays off on the bike when she hops those chunky roots uphill 👍
@@justsayin3600 I don’t blame him - the only time I like uphill is when I have enough momentum from the downhill section that I clear it without much pedalling 😜
I have a buddy that rides like that too, just "poppy", the follow angle doesn't show that she's also lifting the front wheel to pop over things as well. Watch when she pops and how the bike seems to translate sideways, it's a pretty fun riding style to watch.
could it be her skiing background. if u see the skii clips around 2;47 shes constantly picking up her feet getting over the jumps and maybe that technique just naturally found itself in her riding style
@@remymetailler @MrScart35 I watched it at .25 speed. She nose manuals to pop off the small roller. Surprised you missed her technique! She was in total control. 👍🏽
I know you and everyone that you ride with are pros, but have you ever had someone crash when you are riding that close to them? The view is awesome and incredibly unique, but definitely seems like it’s VERY high risk.
Why would someone risk not wearing pads I just don’t understand it especially when you’re professional athlete because you’re going to crash guaranteed it can be a year or two but you will I guess she wants to pick up on the trail and look sexy

@@dhrracer Eh. Nitpicking. Might agree if she lost control somewhere but she was totally in control of that trail and bike.
Pretty sure she's just having fun on the trails.

Yup! Exactly my thought..
The impressive mix of Rampage and World Cup DH on his resume is just one aspect of Remy's bad-assness.
and while he is doing this, he keeps talking like he was chilling 😆
There's few riders he doesn't have to hold back. I think Brittany here was the first female rider to make it seem like that.
@@thomasspotzl4240 She’s definitely the most powerful, agile, fast female I’ve seen with any free riders. Her ski racing background 💪🏼💪🏽💪🏾
1:50 should give everyone a smile and nod of respect - hopping over the uphill angled-root to keep moving smoothly - beautifully done!!
Super motivating and inspiring the way she moves the rear of the bike to aid her line choice ! Taking notes
Almost like a 'Finnish Flick'.
Great video as always! Love watching such an active rider. They just look like they're having so much fun!

Just clip in and throw form out the window :p
Great riding Britt! Your rear tire rarely touches the ground 🤣 I love be watching all the little hops around corners
She is so rad! What an amazing rider and all that power! WOW
Rode this trail when it was new , fresh , at night in October in 2013 . Was magic.
That is a sweet sweet dance in a beautiful light 🙌🏽
Love that you switch the angles when you insert your B-rolls 🤙🏽
Her bike control was On Point! Great trail! another stellar video, Remy! Cheers!
Brittany's riding is just awesomeness!
Crazy how much she steers with her legs. So much power. Amazing to look at.
What a goldilocks trail - not too steep to stay on the brakes , not too flat to keep on peddling. Perfect .
It actually is a surprisingly steep trail in places, but yeah.
She has great bike control and a playful style. Made for excellent follow footage.
Holy crap, she rocks!
It's crazy to see how many of the riders up in the PNW change directions with their rear wheel. That's a skill I need to learn.
Wow. Brittany is one fine rider. Great vid guys.

Now that's Black diamond -great riding!!
Just landed in Vancouver from Quebec, was wandering what to ride in Whistler this week, know I now
Really is a siiiick trail! Awesome
She is my favorite rider you have followed, what a fun style she as, total boss, Incredible skillz, is she still racing EWS?

Staying up till 3am to watch this!

Talent absolute shredder

Appreciate it! Thank you for watching!
Man she’s good on the bike. She should race more. Good technique, style and flow. 🔥
She plans on doing so! She rips!

Its inspiring to see Brit ride. You should ride with more girls.
Do you use gopro Color or the flat profile for color grading in post?
GoPro Color

Great video Remy. Did you not enable Hypersmooth o your GoPro? Because the video is quite shaky.
The light was actually really dark. I should have had the hypersmooth on instead of boost. I learnt for next time.

Try giving yourself more space between riders at first until your comfortable following closer
Tough one to answer. You need to be very confident riding the trail alone and a faster speed in order to follow close by.
Like in car racing or moto racing..."look through" the person in front of you. Ok to get cues from watching the way their bike reacts...but dont focus on them. Focus where you want to go.

Hello Remy there's any way that they can sell this type of bike in California. Tyee please I would like to see this in 2022
Propain sells in the US
just a pleasure to watch.
My pleasure to deliver this video! It was a fun shoot.
Brittany has so much energy! I would like to know what she eats.:)
Wow she rides like she's skiing!
Rémy is there anyone you haven’t been able to keep up with? :)

What pedal shoe combo is she using?
The Fizik Gravita + Time Speciale 12
this looks like real fun where is this?
Whistler, BC
Is that steep section the Triple Hump?
no it was not.
I've never seen remy go this fast on a trail this technical. But I don't think she is going full speed.

you must be new here lol
elle tiens la cadence... niveau single dla tnt ...bon moov... bonne soirée
Salut Rémy, je suis sur Whistler pour l'été et je réalise des vidéos de vélo aussi, voudrais tu faire une vidéo ensemble ?
Why is she lift the back wheel so much? Even on the flat parts of the trail. Almost died 13:19 because of it. Not hating, just curious.

She is „skiing“ her bike. The way she throws her back tire in corners, jusst like on skis…

To change direction and have fun
