Honestly I'm glad this is not a crazy calendar. Diamine's calendars are full of shimmers and heavy sheeners which is great until my nibs inevitably clog up and then I spend half an hour getting the clog out, especially with shimmers. At least these are actually usable for every day and I don't have to be picky about which pens I put them in.
I do like that there is a big difference compared to Diamine. And I do think the standard inks are more everyday friendly, but for the price, I would've expected more unique inks and a broader range of colors so far.
Personally I regret not getting this calendar as I am only 6 months into my fountain pen journey and would love some more fun staples and standard inks, however I do get the disappointment someone with a large collection of inks could have with this collection.
I do think it would be a great calendar for someone starting out, and for someone who doesn't want shimmer inks. But, the way I see it, for the price they asked, there should be more qualities to the inks than just their standard office line.
i’m sorry that the colorverse ink calendar has been sort of a let down so far… this is s lovely shade of yellow and i hope that you get some more impressive inks in the second half!
I am trying SOO hard not to watch one. I am really losing hope....especailly after today (Day 14). Sigh....at least the colors are very usable year round.
I like the name too. I think if there weren't others that were so similar I would like it more. But I am happy to have a good yellow this year from at least one of the calendars haha.
My husband dubbed this "Cat Sh!t Yellow" 😂😭 I hated it, but it's great to add to my collection. But its still just...nothing special as we seen with sooo many close shades!
Nooooo 😂😂😂😂😂 It does look a bit like baby poop haha. It is a color that has been well done by others, I think it would be fun if it had some grey shading or even a sheen, or glistening! Maybe we will get lucky with the rest of the inks 😂
Um. Dirty yellow? 🙄 I'm so glad I didn't get the Colorverse advent calendar - I'm finding the choices so uninspiring. And regretting not getting the Diamine one - so far, those inks have been so much more fun!
Hahah yeah...dirty yellow, baby poop, etc. It is not a color for everyone 😂 The Diamine calendar has definitely been a lot more fun, I feel like every year they get new things!
To me this Colorvent has been boring, uninspiring and a huge disappointment up to this day. It was pricy and I think I would have been better spending that money on random ink samples. I will still continue opening each ink on its corresponding day but I lost my hopes that this will get better.
I think it's great you're still enjoying the daily opening, that's the best part of advent calendars! Hopefully we'll get some more exciting ones in this second half. I am underwhelmed as well. I think for their 1st calendar they aren't meeting the expectations. BUT I will say, standard inks are very useable so that is nice.
I may or may not be regretting my purchase. The only thing keeping me going is hoping there is at lease a decent green, a "christmas" color, and at least one more chromoshader. It makes me sad that colorverse didn't "spice" things up, when they have inks like Blue Dragon Gold, or Monkeyhead Nebula. I feel there was a missed opportunity here.
I am loving these videos ❤
Day 12 was a good day! Yellow/golds/browns are my favorite ink family. And shading 😍 yes please!
Yes! Another good inkmas day haha.
This is a pretty color. I like how it's golden and legible.
It is a nice yellow, I feel like I have SO many similar inks though. At lease it is legible and a color I like!
I asked for dupes for Queen and Castle and the colorvent helped! Thank you!
I was really surprised that it matched so well. It just doesn't have the shimmer!

I really like this ink! I'm surprised you didn't compare it to KWZ Honey.
❤
Lisa
Honey shades so far to brown I didn't think it really compared, but it is yellow toned the same way!
@mydandeliondiaries I have found it depends on the pen and paper. I love when I get the beautiful yellow/amber/brown shading!
Lovely yellow!

It kinda reminds me of Robert Oster’s honeybee. That ink may be more yellow
I had Honey bee in the yellows and I think it is a bit more orange than this actually. Still Honeybee is a good yellow :)

Yeah it has been a bit rough so far! I have higher hopes for the rest of the calendar though! I refuse to give up, I'm too stubborn haha
Soooo…. After so many days of disappointment and being underwhelmed, I had to go hunt a spoilers video. 😂
I am trying SOO hard not to watch one. I am really losing hope....especailly after today (Day 14). Sigh....at least the colors are very usable year round.
Cute name, it's kinda meh for me tho
Van Dieman's - Saturn, Neptune's Necklace
KWZ - Old Gold
Kobe - 22 Shinkaichi Gold
Colorverse - Gluon Glistening
Diamine - Fortune's Gold
BPC - Lighthouse
I like the name too. I think if there weren't others that were so similar I would like it more. But I am happy to have a good yellow this year from at least one of the calendars haha.
From my collection on this screen it's rather like Van Diemans "Maestro" also.
Ooo thank you for sharing!

@@mydandeliondiaries don’t hold your breath
@@mydandeliondiaries yes! It needed a lil something extra
Your husband is correct. That or baby poop.

Im definitely glad I did NOT buy this color vent. 😢
