It would be nice if you delivered to New Zealand.

$10.25 for shipping a towel?! I'm out.
OJ is an absolute beast. What a great friend you have there Alex!
He's the best!
I'm surprised oj didn't just pick up and hold the ml while Alex fixed it
I wish you would stop showing OJ on your videos, my girlfriend watches with me.
😅😂@@webberfan1234

Glad you didn’t lose your fingers when the car came down on the tire! Great video
It was so close!!
A little scary. Hope the wife doesn't see this.
that was too gd close!
That was always going to happen. I'm yelling move tour hand thankfully he heard me
Such a great father and son trip. Good times
Yes indeed, memories his boy will have for the rest of his life.
OJ is one cool cat. You're lucky to have him as a friend.
JR ,Tavarish, goonzquad, samcrac ,vtuned , LST and so many others, amazing people. As good as it gets 😊
About 5 years ago I bought a 2008 w204 c220 and I've been doing the services myself. Thanks to you Alex...
I always thought that mercedes would be complicated to work on but man, I have been fortunate to learn how easy it is.. I've just recently had to pull a leaking injector. Replaced the copper seal, cleaned up the carbon and put it back in within an hour! I couldn't believe it as I thought I was fudged...
Thanks for all your videos over all these years...
Be safe brother. Almost lost your phalanges between the tyre and the wheel arch!! Great video.
13:01 You’re an awesome problem solver, Alex. It’s little tips like this that keep me hooked on this channel. You could have easily had alternate careers in Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering.
Nice one Alex - AMG performed really well- Great to see OJ again, what a cool dude that cat is.
1 hour of Legit on a saturday??my day just got better
OJ is definitely the best friend to have around-great sense of humour and a heck of a great fellow! Awesome video Alex, hope your son had an awesome time
What's an SUV you want to build for off-roading or overlanding?
Build a off road mustang
Tahoe 🤌
Yeah, Tahoe will be nice overland project or some old Chevy
Definitely not a mercedes
Already did it with my 4Runner, and I'd do it again!
I can hardly believe how well you did compared to all the purpose built vehicles! Great job, Alex!!
Glad to see two people that mesh work together, my own life has daily drama and watching you guys relieves my day. First and foremost that's what's this is all about!
I always rebuild alternators for peanuts. It's usually either the bearings, the commutators or the regulator. The coils almost never go bad.
150amp alternator..
What a beast ...
I toured the Mercedes plant in Alabama when it first opened like 20 years ago. They had this big open house event where you could test drive M Classes and they even had one of the Lost World Jurassic Park movie cars there. It was so cool.
Keep at least 3 pieces of 1'x2"x8" in the back. A 3 gallon garden sprayer with water comes in handy for spraying off parts, hands, face, etc.
Great job on the bush fix. Good thing OJ was with you.
Alex, you can turn off the auto-central locking by holding the unlock button for 5-7 seconds with the key 'on' engine off. Quality mod for sure :P
It sounds like a pre 80's pinball machine in there!
New level of respect for you! Trail side repair! Smart move taking the trailer.
Wow the "bolt bottle jack" hack was really smart. Will definitely use that some day.
OJ is a beast. what a great video with the trail fixing.
Thank you for sharing family time!!
It's about time you brought back this ML rig. I was really looking forward to seeing other videos with it. These vehicles have open difs, but the 4Matic system makes up for lockers.
Love the video
This is good stuff. Im always happy when i get the notification for the new upload and not many channels can keep my attention for more than 40 mins lol. Keep up the good work brother.
Glad you enjoy it!
Saturday morning fun with Alex and a bit of mechanic work in between. ❤
U finally sold me on that drying towel. I got your sponsor ceramic coating kit too, about to coat my freshly painted LS swapped foxbody I did with my grandpa! Much love LSC.
Thanks Nick! You'll love it!
Hey Alex. Loving the channel. I really like your production quality of your videos. Keep up the great work 💪👍👍🍀🍀
I live in Canada.. Toronto to be exact and I'm currently on disability assistance so watching your channel and content let's me live vicariously through you. Being on fixed income is tough as well so doing builds etc isn't in the cards right now. I was wondering if you would be able to send a hat or some piece of LSC merchandise so I can rep your brand and channel up here in the great white north. Lol. If this is something that is doable please let me know. P.s I hate asking for hand-outs or charity but I figured I'd give it a shot. Thanks again for the great work.
Alex, I gotta say that this is the best video you've uploaded. I like your videos, but this just this was just awesome. Watching you fix cars is one thing, but the smile on your face was priceless and the work you did to make this day with your son was outstanding.. OJ is awesome too. Do more of these videos brother. It really makes the content you produce that much better. Does OJ have his own channel? He seems like a solid individual, a person that you want as a friend.
OJ has his own channel fluid motor union..
@@stuartd9741 many thanks. He just got another subscriber.
Alex, trail hack for a bottle jack. Most cordless drills with a standard drill chuck will grip the extension rod that the tire tool turns. It can save you time effort and sweat when manually jacking especially in stages
Im no off-road fan but totally enjoyed this video. You should show the clean up of the ML (top and bottom) when you do the next video on it.
Please don’t ever run out off those drying towels I love it so much it really is a game changer
*** - Love the long vids... thanks!
You consistently pump out excellent videos!
Great movie! Pls do more off-road . Ur good in this!
Love seeing diversity on the trails! As a pointer, you can air down your tires to around 15 psi for both better ride quality and much more traction off road (hard to tell what they were at on camera). And if you ever find yourself searching for scenic trails through KY give me a shout! My group goes out all the time and know some amazing places and fun trails
Alex and crew + Oj + father-son fun!? Great fun for a video and teaching lessons to youngsters yours and around the world to always aim for their dreams and aspirations and never quit!! Great show, thanks Alex and company!
This saved my saturday! been bored all day cause i've got nothing to do! this made me happy thanks!
Whew! So many close calls with your digits! 😊 Keep those thumbs outside of the steering wheel when off-roading to be safe. 🤘🏻
Even with the nut splitting on that control arm, would say this was sucessful redemption arc for the ml55 amg build!!! glad to have been part of it!
oh so satisfying to se a off road car used for what was meant to do(actual off-roading) keep up the good work! love your channel!👍
Excellent video!!!! OJ saves the day, lol. I hope that you get the van sorted out. The ML ran when parked!!!!
Love the episodes with OJ.
I just think OJ is a natural problem solver...
@@stuartd9741 - He seems like a pretty quiet guy, but when he does say something, I tend to listen. Experience speaks volumes.
@@ThatGuysChannel4Whatever exactly.
You imagine that impressive workshop at FMU...
Some great offroading video, you captured how difficult the terrain actually is.
Coincidentally, I stumbled on your channel a few years back looking for info on replacing the alternator on my wife's GLK350. Who knew you'd be my favorite vlogger...
Cool clip brought back memories of my 66 Bronco and broken stuff - LOL
I miss Peter and all the joking around, do or do you have a clip of his departure?
Nice Episode Alex!! Great that the transfer case didn't break this time around keep those videos coming man, we love them
I’m impressed by the capability of your ML 50. Great trail fix.
This was WAYYYYYYYYYY BETTER than I thought it would be! You really ran the crap outta the ML
I miss my ML55.. Did amazing in the sand and on the trails out here in Vegas. My buddy ended up rolling it, and everything went downhill from there, lol😮😅
I've been watching older videos and I realized I don't care what car it is,I just really enjoy Alex working on cars and explaining what he's doing. One of the best quality channels on UA-cam.
Thanks Steve!!
I drive an 08 ml350 daily and it got all the power i need after like 3k rpms. My brother uses it as a tow rig and i use it for my 12 minute drive to work everyday. 177k and still strong!
Been waiting all morning brother. Also love the offroader videos.
Was hoping for more DeLorean. Halloween is getting closer!
I'm working away!
I know you are lol! Just jonesing to see the completed product!
Same!
Me too!
It's funny I've never been a big Delorian fan but now anything else is almost disappointing.. can't wait to see it completed!
OJ the man, Respect! Great content keep on keeping on!
Great job, you just busted a nut on the ML. Glad that was all. That some serious off roading. The alternator was huge.
Great repairs and tips for other Mercedes owners and potential owners.
Cool off-road trip and adventure, that motor on the ML is very stout.
sweet trail fix, props on that. The ML is way more capable than I wouldve thought
I like these project videos with detailed work and tips/tricks a lot more
I took the LS1 W124 to Mesa Cars & Coffee this morning so I am just now getting to watching todays video!
Lol I have a 2007 GL450 with what I believe is a loose/wobbly transfer case chain and was about to "youtube" how to change it....but now seeing this, I am pretty sure it's a not much different process, right? 😄. Thanks Alex, great video again. Vlad
P.S. Curious what website did you use to order the "wrong" chain?
Nice to see you guys up in Droummond. Im up there all the time, If yall ever wanna get out more and see more of Droummond, I can assist with that. Most of the beauty of Droummond is located off the island, via boat to another island. Fossile Ledge is also a great trail to test your 4 wheeler lightly. Just about any lifted 2wd or stock 4x4 will make it.
Four wheeling is always a great time - especially when trail repairs manage to get you back home. This is definitely making me want to buy a rig and get back out on the trails again!
I was doing this in the summer of 1984 with a brand new Bronco II Eddie Bauer edition. A buddy of mine got one for hs graduation. His dad was a Ford exec like many in the Detroit suburb I lived in. The place that we did all the off roading is now filled with homes.
This was an amazing video Alex!!!Great footage of the impromptu repairs while out on the trail with whatever it takes to get back safe. What great memories made with the family off-roading. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Off-roading isn't really my thing, but fun to watch the carnage of things breaking!
Also, get that alternator rebuilt (or DIY it and it's more content), it'll be a heck of a lot cheaper than replacing.
Dang OJ was putting in work lol
i was wondering when you where gonna work on the ML again! looks like you had a blast! so much fun!
Off-road adventures and auto repair together in 1 video!! Yes!!!
Hell Yeah! Sounds like fun! 👍🏻
That ML is a beast!! 😍
Dude you and OJ always an awesome video perfect switch up!
Fun fun fun!!! The ML is a beast....Hoovie needs to get that supercharger on his new van!!!
As a lifetime off-road guy, I highly recommend carrying a small chain saw and hedge trimmer with you. Something everyone used to do back in the day. Fallen trees and limbs, stuck in impossible positions, clearing up overgrown trails. Really makes a huge difference off road..
Or just phone heavy D sparks they'll make a pathway for you with their machinery...😆.
🤣@@stuartd9741
Something new, really is refreshing, videos are bangers at the minute 🔥👌🏼💯
Very strange about the nut, with lock tight etc. Shows how good the old castellated nut and split pin were. I know there was no option with this nut though. I Would LOVE to get round there with my old Land Rover Trialer, looked like great fun. I was an Off Road driving Instructor for Land Rover for just over 20 Years, the colour of your ML tells me you were going through the dirty water too fast, but then fast through the water is good fun. Otherwise you driving looked good. One piece of advice, when you have wheel spin going on, sometimes turning left and right about 1/4 turn quickly can throw the drive across the front axle finding a bit of available grip. You dont want huge amounts of revs on at the same time though 🙂
I like how you sound so confident when you haven't a clue what you're doing (at times).
You're awesome Alex! Oh and the hard to easy scale is ALWAYS 10 is Hardest! LOL. I just did the Voltage regulator on my E46 M3 and it was so much cheaper than doing a full Alternator swap! I think most if not all Bosch alternators have that as an option. Very cool. ROCK ON!
Thanks for my favorite Saturday show 😄
Time for a Legit Saturday!
Every Saturday is a Legit Saturday. He never misses
YES!!! Needed my LSC fix. 🤙🏻🤟🏻
The ML55 is finally back! Since the last video I bought a ML55, rebuiolt the suspension and breakes, and lifted it! I love it!
Thanks for another great video! Love the content and I just bought some much wanted items off your website site, can’t wait to use them and also bought a few other items I’ve seen you use for automotive tools, thanks again!
Looks fun! Nice that you can repair your own equipment. I enjoyed the different content!
For the upper ball joint nut issue... double stack and add another nut or ideally drill a hole for a cotter pin and castle nut. We've dealt with these issues for years in the Can-Am mud bogging community
Alex, you should mount a “farm jack” on the back bumper of your ML, would be a huge improvement for a trail rig.
Just awesome! Came for more back to the future references(time travel reference) stayed for the awesome fix it content!
Why is it your vehicle is the only one that looks used? COMPLETELY covered in mud top to bottom! Some carnage but made a trail repair and made it back to the trailer! Sounds like a great trip!
Love it when we get a SUPERMEGA episode! BTW - Alex, what happened to Mods & Miles?
Just a tip, once the nut in on and torqued, drill a small hole and cotter pin them. Keeps them from vibrating out.
I think OJ needs to get an older X5 and turn it into an off roader to match your ML!
Killed it. Good teamwork on the trail to fix it. Killer trip,
wonder why the van keeps tossing that belt.
The OJ comments are funny as shit. Great content again and the bloopers were good to Max.
I love the variety on this channel!! Best channel out there Alex!!
Alex another interesting video Don't know how you do all this work across multiple projects. I liked the self advert on the drying towel Towel Which makes me want to pass on a huge vehicle drying tip. I have taken to using my 750cfm Ryobi leaf bower to dry off my cars. no streaks and really fast just make sure the ground is clean around the car 🙂 then finish with one of your towels.
Bought 2 of those towells, they work soo good. The best towels I have purchased for car detailing.
Really enjoyed this video, especially the 4 wheeling footage. Looks like the ML needs a full rhino liner coating.
OJ is a beast! The badlands is awesome! Haspin Achaea is another off road park in central Indiana
Hope the kiddos had a blast. I’m sure they have some great memories with dad. 😇
So jealous, badlands was a dust bowl during axial fest back in June, glad to see you got to find some mud
Fabulous content Alex, loved it. I used to own a 2000 ML 320, you're so right it'd be hopeless to try a 320 with all the mods on the 55AMG, the old V6 just too gutless. Keep moving forward with the AMG 55ML, it's a great concept and nowadays a "budget" 4X4. I'm wondering if diff locks are available for the ML Benz. Bet your young son had a great time with his cool Dad, kids love that stuff.
