These guys absolutely 1st class...can't recommend them enough to anybody considering taking their bike to them! What this fella doesn't know about aprilias probably isn't worth knowing! Thanks again mate Griff and those covers are trick AF
For anyone interested check under this cover. I have a tuono with 1000km on it and engine case was starting to get damaged with the wet foam. My advice is either buy gb covers or simply remove the foam from inside the original cover to stop water lodging in it. No difference in sound deadening
Any V4 owners that want me to take your bike out and actually ride it after you have washed the garage queen to dry this cover, please feel free to get in touch 😀
Haha, i was gonna say... never had this issue with mine, probably bcz i never let the thing sit long enough and i've had the cover off on my 2018 at 18k miles and on my 2021 just recently at 7k miles. The heat from the engine will evaporate any water that gets into the foam... just ride the bike after washing and you'll be fine, lol.
Fitted my GB Racing covers yesterday on my 19factory, no marks on the casings but the foam in the standard ones was soaking wet. I tend to wash my bike then put it away in the garage, but even with a dryer it wouldn't dry the foam. I also removed the redundant stand-off fixings and replaced with cap heads to keep it looking tidy.
Thanks for the heads up. FYI, my understanding is our RSV4s casing covers exist to suppress engine/trans sounds and that’s it. Aprilia didn't fit them for casing protection, at least I didn't see that stated is their purpose. In all reality, we should remove those and replace them with effective covers. I’m in the states and installed a different manufacturers product.
Interesting that GB Racing cover protects only the most exposed part so is good for a tarmac grind. However the other case protects the whole side of the engine which makes it effective against a gravel trap incident..
I recently ordered carbon covers for my bike. Still waiting for the clutch cover but did receive the alternator one. They are delivered without the foam. At first I swapped the OEM cover with the carbon one without using the foam, only to notice that the engine noise increased a lot…. I ended up pealing the foam from the old cover and using it to fit the new one… the foam has a sound dampening purpose. I’m pretty sure that clutch will be a lot noisier after you’ve fitted that R&G cover…
It might just be worth removing, and not putting any engine cover on. None of my other bikes have an engine cover, and it looks like it's mainly for sound deadening...

great advice there, I swear by those GB racing covers, really saved my bacon in 3 huge crashes
Abhi: what in the world are you doing saving your bacon when you bin it, let along 3 huge ones? LOL, love what you do.
@@greenjackal4362 hahaha , cheers mate , that made me chuckle lol
The factory cover is just a sound deadener that retains crud. You need Yakety Sax for the sound track.

I’m sure they appreciate you doing a commercial for someone else on their forum lol
@@Antmanmoto Good looking out, I like AP and detracting from their success is not my intent.
Is this applicable to the later 21/22 models? They seem to be a similar looking cover
Brilliant thank you ✨👍🏻
Took my case off and its really badly eroded, what can i put on it to protect it. Its got alot of corrosion!

The other cover is sound deadening cover only - not protective case, so you would be lucky to get away without damage either way.
Do you have to take all bolts off to get the stock foam cover off?
I've got a Miller gen 1 put it's sounds like it's misfiring because it judder when pulling of
Where you guys get the frame covers in Matt ?
Happened with me , purchased motorcycle from dealership & the clutch cover has deteriorated down to the bare metal - new case needed

Out of stock on your website!!
Couldn't you just take the foam off?🤷♂️
🎯🎯🎯
Original is not a protective cover. But if you don’t need protection, sure.
The benny hill music would have been so funny :)
Indeed but © says no.
It's a shame the GB Racing covers don't come without that ugly writing on the side.
Why don't just remove the foam?

i hear that actually riding the bike would solve the issue
