After wiping out the population of Dzungaria, the Qing government then resettled Han, Hui, Uyghur, and Sibe people on state farms in Dzungaria (most of which is located in present-day Xinjiang) to repopulate the area.

I knew there are some significant number of hui population in northwest provinces such as Gansu, Qinghai and Ningxia also in the famous Xi'an city in Shaanxi You both come from Yunnan which is located in south I wonder why it just seems like you separated so far away from the others, i mean the Yunnan's hui
The Hui people in Yunnan came here three times. The first time was about 700 years ago, when the Mongols brought soldiers from Central Asia. The second time was during the Ming Dynasty, when the emperor sent Muslim soldiers to Yunnan to suppress the rebellion of the Dai people. The third time was in the early Qing Dynasty.
