Such a great ambassador Brian. From someone who couldn't locate China on a map, then become fluent in Mandarin... is quite a feat. God bless.

With due respect, when you said JaYoe, I think you meant 加油 ( proper Pinyin is Jia You) to mean continue to put in more effort,or keep up the good work. The direct translation of "Jia you " is to add in more fuel." So, I hope you use the proper Pinyin ( Jia you) so that more people will understand what you mean.

Visited the center in 2009. A long time ago but clearly it is still wonderful and Brian continues his valuable work.

All of us have inherited souls that are intertwined with the old world that is easier to recognize and know in China/East Asia than in the 'west'.

Dont want to be presumptive, im assuming youre Western? Im Chinese but obviously born and bred in the UK and I know what you mean
speaking from my pov.... the West and the UK even though i was born bought up and educated and worked there i dont think really represents me anymore.... i was trying to fit in to a culture that was already changing.... its hard to explain.... i was discovering me, where i fit in in the UK, while also discovering the UK and the UK has changed along with the rest of the West and so no longer really represents me i feel
especially what the West WANT to push and represent.... and me struggling to find work in the UK since before covid has just magnified feelings and details and analysis...
literally being shoved out of the UK door because of work and i have given the UK chance upon chance and its been tough.... its reset for me if i land in China
China has history really thick history and its all about working with its surroundings and current location in time and space etc, even the language comes down from ancient oracle bones
Currently in negotiations for work in China, will be a completely new world to me and a new start! I will be yet again a foreigner.... im forever a foreigner lol
I will need to pick up and use the language again

@@antwango Analyzing the issue of identity so intensely is very 'west'-ern. I'm hoping you enjoy your time in Asia as much as I enjoyed the time I had there. 'Old world' peeps are the best: )

What China need to do is to offer more green cards as migrants is a win win as it helps enriched chinese themselves.
