The drums depth of sound is great, it gives this song some ummmph. .which it often lacks. R.I.P. sadly missed but never forgotten, great memories that nobody can take away from us.
I was a Status Quo Fanatic from 1972 until Live Aid 85. The In the Army Now line-up destroyed that. I still have a soft spot for Quo as they ruled my teenage years and I have virtually every meaningful DVD of theirs through buying and trading. Many rarities included. My one wish is that I can get to see Roadhouse Blues from the Marquee 1972 again. (I saw it in New Zealand TV in 1976, and an Irish guy saw the Bye Bye Johnny clip from the same gig. I am hoping that one day these video clips, plus more will surface. I am awaiting the Accept no Substitutes DVD any day now (Got it REAL CHEAP - €8.65 incl postage) which has the Download and Wacken etc on it. However, after watching this clip for the first time, it just dawned on me how much Andy Bowns keyboards are destroying that dream Status Quo. He is given too much freedom and I am aware that Bown was with the Quo in the seventies, but more as a back-up man just like Bob Young with his harmonica. Sadly to say, Status Quo would be so much better with him back as only a background player with the mix turned down. Roll over lay down in its original form didnt have any keyboards and it should have stayed that way. Rossi's vocal style of many songs also has deteriorated badly where his sense of humour can sometimes ruin it. I also saw Rick Parfitts version of Backwater which suffers the same fate. Alan Lancaster at least kept it simple and real right to the end, and Coghlan gets a mention too. As I say, I was a diehard fan from the beginning, and like many, Quo should have done the decent thing and dropped the name in the same manner that Led Zeppelin went to Page Plant. Rossi Parfitt in name only (With a carefully chosen drummer and bassist) could still have kept the original fans interested.
Francis Rossi is a incredible, a Hero of Guitarman!
I'm really disappointe that they didn't include this in their Frantic Four reunion gigs. To me, it was the song that got my attention.
R.I.P. Rick, we miss you. Thanks for the memories.
On this day, I was in NovaRock ! Rip Rick, Love Status Quo
The Donington gig is just phenomenal. Quo Lite my ass.
Roll over and Down Down are two tunes this modern era Quo did really really good, heavy and punchy as f.

You American missed out of some great bands
This is blasphemy!
Only 475 likes in 18 months!? 😱
Stilll not placed as well as the. Original four, keyboards not needed
Drummer not a patch on John coughlin or Pete kitcher
I think we're missing a decent bass line, and some drums?
