Do the 12mm Caliber Bolts call for Anti Seize to achieve the correct Torque setting . Another tip is to snug up 3 wheel nuts on the new rotor while you work on setting the caliber and pads on 😊 Nice Video fella
Hey I was wondering how you positioned the vehicle in terms of the transmission. Did you just leave it in park or did you put the vehicle in neutral to allow the rear wheels to turn when jacked up and facilitate the positioning of the parking brake tension.
Hey I noticed that mentioned the torque for some of the bolts. Can you tell me what torque you applied. I heard 76 ft lbs for some. Can you please confirm the torque specs needed. Thanks
Just wanted to thanks for your tip on to put a 2x4 in the other caliper when you squeeze the first one back in. Almost didn’t do it but remembered your tip just in time and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much.
@ No Y. No I did not use thread locker. Per the Factory Service Manual, no thread locker or grease should be applied to the guide pin bolt or caliper bracket bolts. Other cars do get it, but not the 100 series according to the manual
Hey. I really liked your video and just found out I have to replace my rear brakes. I love that you notice when you could done it better and just laugh it off to experience for next time. Anyways, was wondering whose rotors and pads you used for the rear brake job? Did you get factory Lexus or somebody else’s stuff. Let me know. Thanks. The dealer told me it was going to cost $658 to do the rear brakes. 😟
Thanks! I always try to laugh and learn, be positive and do your best 👍 on the rotors, Bosch is what I used and Toyota brake pads. Zero problems so far. Rotors were about $100 and pads were about $70

One question - Did you have to use Thread-locking Compound such as Loctite on caliper guide pin bolts and caliper bracket bolts?
