Slk350 Front Suspension Refresh
The wife's 2013 SLK 350's front suspension had some play in it. Found it to be the Cross strut on 1 side and the Torque strut on the other side.

    Hi Bags, I have c6 with super charger and automatic transmission. HPDE driving I constantly get service active handling and traction control. Before session I push the traction control off and track driving mode. When driving computer limits rpm to 4500 or less. It’s super frustrating to have 1/4 of car to work with. Rear diff has been changed from 2:56 to 3:42. Service guy reprogrammed speed ratio to allow for speed miss match but I keep getting modulation to prevent power. Would the control of removing active handling wire help with this issue or do I have other problems?

    • @maintainersgarage

      Is RPM/Power limited ONLY during track sessions? And my guess is ABS module, but woiuld need to trouble shoot it. You can disconnect plug and see if that helps

    Good video, so much easier to show on the spare unit 👍 On my R172, it never felt a good bit of German Engineering from new, so applied some silicone grease to the hinge to slightly improve the opening feel. Plus our UK R172's have a cable leading to the cars motion alarm sensor, that is located under a square flap, in the underside of the arm rest - Just to add a little more fun to changing the lid...!!

    I am trying to perform a trans fluid flush on my wife's '19 SLC 43. Do you know if there is a transmission cooler return line that you can remove to flush out dirty ATF while keep on adding new fluid until the return line fluid becomes clean (basically using internal trans pump to push the fluid out). I performed this flush method on many other makes and models (Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, etc). This is going to be my first attempt on a Mercedes 722.9 :)

    Hello i just disconected the front shockers to evaluate them and them put them back again in place. But, the problem now is that when the shockers were disconected all the suspension fluid from them and the reservoir got empty. After that, we just put 2.5l of suspension fluid back in the reservoir and started the truck but it stayed in low position and didn't get up even to neutral height. We didnt took much care of taking the air out of the system or preventing it from getting inside in the first place. My question is if that maybe be the cause of my system faliure? (Before disconecting the shockers the system was working great) thank you

    • @maintainersgarage
      @maintainersgarage 3 місяці тому

      Maybe it failed or maybe you have a ln air lock in front shocks. Try bleeding againand you can put front suspension lifted in the air to force movement

    Oil looks thick, is the engine cold? Oil should be warm. You should fill the new filter with new oil before installing it. Wear gloves, ditch the watch. Always remove the filter first. It may not want to come off. Mobil1 filters are more restrictive than GM OE filters. I use a PF48E on my 2010. Not that it matters but torque is measured in Lb-Ft not Ft-Lbs.
