Thanks for these tutorials, I'm currently gonna be using this program to create characters for a project I'm working on, and honestly seeing this stuff is really helping me understand things way better. I feel like I'm still gonna have to figure one thing out, which is giving the character a weapon of some kind, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. At least I should be able to get the feet to look better.
Omg! I just figured this out today, I made a separate sprite sheet of my sword, then I added it to my animation rig, placed it in hand, then I just added a bone from whichever hand it was connected to, Binded it and boom, you're character is now holding a sword/weapon ⚔️ 🔪😁
It took me 4 days to create front, side, and rear views of my characters head before advancing through the tutorial. And of course after following along fastidiously my head rotates but none of the rear views work. Front part and back of the head worked one time. Sigh* Idk how this could be user error on my part when I re-did this part over and over 3:00
idea for something to type into the launch options for steam (or an option in game): idk what to call it but basically if a sprite would normally be too big it will just scale it down without losing any detail
Question: Is there a way to use different sprites when facing left?? For example, if a character is asymmetrical with heterochromia, side-parted hair, a pegleg, etc, would there be a way to keep that consistent and accurate when facing left??
so we can actualy use paint to create sprites in different angles. But we can also make the character look messed up. like the side is really big and fat and the left side or back side skinny and small?
No matter what I do this software just destroys the sprite once imported. You end up having to re-draw the entire sprite anyways. It only really works if you basically use the same art style they do, anything else won't work.
Hi I drew my own sprite on a png and it was 250x250 size... and when i upload it to the game its oversize and wont fit in square or even the blue box... how to resize in game? Took me hours to draw this such a shame
Thanks for watching!

Incredible tool, this is game changing for sprite animation

Just found your videos on my feed, congratulations on your game! Your editor is even more amazing! Success is definitely on its way to you

PLZ HELP

also maybe a way to put the inbuilt educated guessing system between the custom view sprites so it's still buttery smooth and looks a lot better
Also, *curving* this could be useful for stuff like stick-figures and *VERY* large mouths like pizzaface or something similar
Exactly what I needed
wow this even taught me how to do rigs better!
Would be nice to have the depth texture also apply here as well

Could this be used to create a top down character? It would be interesting to see how far this program can extrapolate
Please help! I followed it to a T but when I try to spin my head around it never shows the back facing angles
Is there a way of using these different views to improve on the automatic rotation tool?
Hey can you do whole stages

I was worried but now I'm not because I saw this video
Yo this shit does not work anymore. Even on pre built in characters if you disable 3D rotation the back of the sprite never shows. PLZ update

You will need to move the majority of the canvas above the floor. The 256 x 256 is split between the floor and stage.
@@SmackStudioGame thanks for the response.
Not working... :c
@SmackStudio plz reply
but does it blend?
Can I export the animations?
You can export png sprite sheets
THIS DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE WTFFFFFFFFF
