Great review Chris - I think the overall enjoyment of rowing the gears in this car will be rewarding. Keep up these videos - no hype just good honest motoring journalism for us purists.
Im just wondering if its a possibility to have a comparison video of some top brands such as Kia Seltos, Hyundai kona and Mazda cx30? My partner is fixated on Mazda but there's better options and would love to have a comparison side by side comparing specs and features
Is it possible to drift a front wheel drive vehicle and how do you make it drift,no im not going to do it on the street im just interested to hear from a proffesional driver in how you achieve it ,the fellas at work said you can only do it in reverse, love the videos youre doing a great job
Was waiting for this Chris... really disappointed with the 0-100 but also shows how hard it is to nail that 6.1 which i have managed now after 6months driving my fastback N. The gear miss is rear but can happen... you are correct car feels like it can handle more power than the chassis has currently... the chassis is worthy of a 300hp engine... I reckon will be worth going in to a focus ST from this for comparison
@@johnpereira5733 hell yes! I recommend you test drive back to back the cup rs280 vs type r vs i30n hatch or fastback... if u are tall the hatch will be better. That way I don't bias your decision.
Yeah I'm sure its there mate, but we just have a couple of quick goes. More focused on the lap and feedback. I never really missed a shift, just wasn't 100% confident when loaded. Chassis is awesome as you say....
Our main focus is the lap times, we could spend all day trying to nail the perfect launch, but its not our priority. We have a couple of quick goes and its more representative of what you will find on the road.
Loving these tests and commentary from Chris. Keep’em coming 👍😎
Thanks Glen, great to hear your enjoying it!
As quick as a GTI, not bad for less money. Thanks Chris awesome review
GTI TCR at that!
Thanks mate, yeah great little package and heaps of fun to drive

Thanks John, appreciate the feedback. Trying to keep it simple and to the point.
Love these reviews, thanks Chris. Clear, concise and informative.
Thanks Michael, that was the plan with these reviews, to the point and not all about show.
Sounds pretty good too. Well done Hyundai! Looking forward to the dual-clutch.
The manual is good fun, just the DCT for lap time...
I think you are eager to test the DCT from the hot lap debrief - looking forward to seeing it!
Finally an Australian review with the correct pronunciation for Hyundai. Chris, can you teach everyone else?
Haha, can't get used to how they wanted me to say it, even when I was a factory driver.
Fantastic track review as always one is reli enjoying them 👌👏👏
Thanks mate! good to hear.
Thanks Chris. Buying one
Great to hear! You will really enjoy it.
Great review, great feedback 👍
Best sound compared to the competition. Pops and crackling and mean sound.

Are you happy with this though for as an everyday fun car? Been giving it some serious thought.

What does rev match mean?
Wow❤🎉😂
0-100 in 7 seconds? Huh?
Its hard to launch that car properly very hard but when u get it... u will hit 6.1sec
Who cares about 0-100 times anyway?

See this, which will be slightly inaccurate given the use of built in speedo, but perhaps helpful nonetheless -
