I agree with @andy79z28 about adjusting the pawls/jaws. Back out the little set screw at the back of the case slider. That will allow the pawls to open more and let the case drop in so you aren't constantly having to use your finger to push the case into the pawls.
The jaws on the slider need adjustment not opening enough. Will help in feeding the brass. Watching you prime - you are pressing hard to get the primer to go in. Need more swage on the primer pocket. I've been getting about 1 in 20 of those sideways primers with .223. I've had my APP deluxe for about a month. It does 9mm just fine, decap, size, bulge bust and prime. .223 is an entirely different matter. I've had to fuss with it constantly. Mine also kicks cases out on the drop. I reversed the riser and used a dremel to cut out a section of the closed loop to restrict tipping of the cases. It's helped some. Still refining that. I destroyed the decapping pin on LC brass and now waiting for the upgrade pin. I use my home brew lanolin/alcohol case lube and found out to full length size .223 I had to increase the amount of lanolin in the mix. That worked and made resizing smoother. I may have to go back to the turret press or recently purchased Lee 4000 to prime but I really dislike the Lee safety prime system which is why I bought the APP in the first place.
When attaching the primer tray, you DO want to lock it first, then insert the tray and chute onto the press, then take the switch to ON. the switch has 3 positions, Open, Lock, and ON. If you go all the way to On without it attached to the press, you will, as you noted, dump primers.
So I see one issue. The shell doesn’t sit inside of the shell holder . So it’s not lining up . And that’s why the primers are not seating right all the time .
In my experience with the APP, lower your case feed tube about the width of a nickle above a dropped case. This will keep them from falling multiple at a time. It still happens but not as often.
Believe me I’ve messed around with the APP a whole bunch, honestly getting it to work has just been setting it up as best I can and learning to finesse it to feed properly.

Primer pocket uniformer is the better option! Unless you are using Lapua, Norma, Peterson or ATG brass your pockets are not uniform and primers will not sit perpendicular and flush in the pocket. Uniformer removes crimps.
You did a really ok job of illustrating what to do for the lower stationary die, but absolutely zero instruction on what's needed in the upper doe. Please explain.
Sorry about that - The upper portion of the Lee App is very easy to assemble. It is a rod, spring and plastic collet that screws into the top, with a cap that you screw in by hand. Its very self explanatory once you get a Lee App. It is the same assembly for both priming and swaging.
How long does it take to switch from the decapping set up to swaging? I have an APP I use for decapping but I’m debating whether to get the swaging kit and switch, or get another dedicated APP for swaging
im guessing your very new to this type off reloading who haa and that press look very new as you havnt done any off the mods to it ( eg there is a 3d printed gate you cant get that holds ya brass from falling over ( how you keep pushing the brass back with your finger) and there is a newer 3d printed brass dropper and slide that make these app the ducks nuts ) i run a 6pac pro with 3d mods and push out 500 + 44 mag an hour thats after i have decaped and cleaned brass
I love watching your videos but geez, I hate the old Lee systems. They're way to slow. Dillon Precision is the way to go. But again, great videos, you explain the process well.

I looked into that but what sold me was the Lee App auto feed and swage. Its a fast setup, despite all its hickups

After swaging a quick reaming will solve the primer problem. Swaging moves brass reaming removes it

You can also use the RCBS primer tray in place of the finicky Lee.

do you lubricate the anvil? I have to swipe some sizing wax on my rcbs crimp die or the anvil gets stuck in the primer pocket on 9mm.

It’s super quick actually, you don’t even need to spend more than 5 minutes changing them out. Everything for those two functions is quick change

no go turn the tool around it go on the other side same tool , u painted red and green on each tool
