From nearly 9000 people who have listen and seen this, there is no one to say SOMETHING about it? hope the reason is, because all remeined speechles after hearing it :) Well I will be the first: if this is LIVE and not playback, than this is FANTASTIC. Interpretation, accuracy, musicality, dynamics, technique and overall impression is just outstanding. Also recording ambiental and sound wise is done very well. Bravissimo.
Vielen, vielen Dank euch beiden, freut mich sehr 😉
What I cannot understand is how at this point 24 people have given this a thumbs down? Really?
@@townhall05446 most of them are probably just jealous =) it is marvellous playing by Christoph.
1:53 Please tell me I'm not the only one who hears "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"
This guy is a magician. This is a heartfelt performance. Thank God for UA-cam and Christoph Sietzen!!
Spectacular an relaxing at the same time... One of the best performances of Bach on marimba that I've seen in my life. Bravo!
Incredible playing.
Another beautiful performance, Christoph! VERY much been enjoying your work lately! Inspiration! This performance stands out, I believe, with it's wonderful sensitivity with dynamic technique, and very full weighted strokes at just the right times.... Bach would be very pleased! BRAVO!
Absolute Perfektion! Unglaublich!
Really beautiful!
Incredible playing! And live? Wow.
Absolutely amazing, thank you so much for posting this. The subtlety is so impressive.
And how he has dealt with the immense pressure of the situation is equally impressive.
Just wonderful and magic
Another awesome performance.
Una meraviglia! Bravissimo.
What a treat! A joy to watch and listen! Great job Christoph!!
Gigue from the lute suite in e minor
That was unbelievable! I love Bach!
This is fantastic! Beautiful performance.
Brilliant performance
Inspirational and a stunning performance. I respect anyone that takes the time to learn and then perform a piece for an audience live. Bach is challenging literature. Especially impressive is that we never touch our instrument unlike our other string, woodwind and brass instrumental players. Then, we have to achieve accuracy through a 17" mallet and with 2 in each hand! Thank you for sharing this with us. Incredible!
Fantastic performance!
Who would have thought that the marimba had such an expressive range! In the hands of a master, I guess...
Outstanding !!!!
outstanding and amazing
Thanks you for the job! It s wonderfulll
YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING MAN! I love watching you play! Your passion for music and the instrument is remarkable when listening to any of your performances. It's because of people like you that I don't give up and keep studying, so that one day, maybe people will admire me like I admire you! Thanks for All !!!
He is a true artist, musically and technically outstanding!
Terrific performance!!!
Good use of dynamics. Very expressive! Hi
Beautifull

Amazing
Really Nice
Bach would have loved this! Free and experimental...
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖
sublime;)
Wow, flawless execution and fantastic phrasing! Sounds amazing! Is that the new She-e Wu marimba?
Sean- No, this is an Adams Alpha marimba. You are referring to the the Majestic Reflection which is what She-e Wu, Tom Burritt, and myself play.
@@scottyhorey9128 Actualy it is Bogdan Bacanu signature marimba
@@domy-wm6hy Oh! Thanks for clarifying, I don't know this marimba.
god bless you parker meek
10/10 the god of this song
E minor all right yeah!!!
Sounds amazing!
Do you cut your inner mallet handles shorter?
Nice
Could you please tell me which piece were you playing?
So nice to listen to him (you?). Thanks.
what type of mallets he is using or at least does anyone know any mallets that produce a similar sound? Thank you!
I think they are Bogdan Bacanu mallets from Adams. Probably M140
Keiko Abe Yamaha MKAW-05
Bravo
Their are few things better than Bach on a Marimba.
Putisimoo amoo, grande!!!
Are you using Rattan or wood mallets?
Who else is here from Parker Meeks musescore fuckery?
The 8th bar is different than played.. anyway great performance 👏🏻
Can anyone tell me what grip he’s using I can’t tell if that’s Stevens or cross
Definitely no cross grip. If it was cross-grip he would have thumb and forefinger between the mallets but he doesn't.
Must be Stevens or Musser
It's a Musser-Stevens Grip variation. He seems to switch between 1st and 2nd form.
Very very nice. Mallets really speak well. Beautiful instrument very nice resonance. Stevens grip? Absolutely great!!
Peter D Stevens grip is the only good grip prove me wrong
@@thejazzman5231 any jazz vibe player:
:|
Ben Penta any vibraphone player tbh, in drum corps (from my experience) they force even the vibe players to play Stevens, which I really don’t understand
BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
INSANE DYNAMICS - BEST I'VE EVER SEEN ON 4 MALLETS SINCE GARY BURTON !!! THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL !!! THOUGH PERSONALLY I PREFER THE BURTON GRIP, CAUSE I CAN'T DO THE OTHER GRIP.......
came from parker meek
Yeah I think his video is just better than this guys entire performance.
Bus marimba
