Personally, Im glad you guys stuck to your guns about the stage height. I hate going to a band or event and you cant see who is on stage or what theyre doing. Also I got some giggles watching the cartoon lol Creative way to let people know whats going on

Thank you so much for posting this. It’s absolutely disgusting that this “promoter” refused to abide by the contract they signed, wanted you to tour at a loss, and then blamed you for it.

Regarding regional shows in England, VNV tend to play the Asylum in Birmingham rather than Slade Rooms - it's just as 'alternative' and has a really nice tall stage and great sound. I'd gladly pay double that ticket price to see you there.

I'm from the UK and I'm so sorry this happened to you guys. I am not surprised you cancelled. So many shady and suspicious practices going on. To try and use guilt tactics to manipulate is disgusting. It's really great that you're going to donate the 25% to a UK children's charity. I'd like to suggest the NSPCC.

I myself am a survivor of childhood abuse. This charity, It's staff, and the services they/it offers, rescued me and helped me to recover, to trust adults again. Without this charity I'm certain I wouldn't be alive today writing this message. I'm always donating and trying to raise money for them and it would mean alot if they were to benefit from your generosity. No matter which charity you choose though it will help alot of children in need and that's what truely matters, thank you for doing this

I agree with the stage height thing. Seen Nick Kershaw at the O2 in Liverpool. Could only see from his shoulders up. I would not go to that venue again.

That *sucks* man. Two questions come up for me though: why did your agency switch from the other promoter that looked like they were going to be the better place to go with just because FP said "why didn't you ask me first"? And, how come your agency didn't cross-check the stage heights since it's such a key thing for the show? I don't do show promotions but I'm a damn good event organiser, let me know if you ever want help next time around :) I hope we get to see you soon, even if it's not in the UK.

The promoter promised to hire stage height extensions for the venues with lower stages. Later on he refused to pay for it.
when you work with someone with a good portfolio you expect from him to do the little things he has to do. It will be strange to check after him. Asking for the stage heights is some easy work. You just say two or three words and you got the info ;D People should do what they have to do.
That's good to know. I'm very nervous, so i prefer to play in small clubs. And I'm small too, so that's nice for me. I love And One and also another unique stars. Thx 😊

This promoter is a joke. I've done a handful of local shows and would fall over myself to promote And One if I could afford to pay the up front costs at this point in my life. And I'd scream it from the rooftops, have street teams handing out fliers at every goth/industrial club or event in the area I'm promoting the shows as well as hitting every social media platform (e.g. every goth fb group that allows promotion, etc)
I'd make sure every venue fits the ARTIST'S specifications because THEY know what it takes to perform to their best ability and make sure the fans have the most memorable experience. Plain and simple, when I promoted here in the states I kissed the artist's asses and worked MINE off to make sure the venues were right, and PACKED. Happy artists, performing at their best, making an amazing experience for their fans, guarantees that I'm going to make my money. And since the band is already paid half up front, all I have to do is fork over the other half when the shows are a success. If they're NOT a success and I don't make as much as I wanted then I did something wrong. I didn't promote it enough, or didn't find the best venues for the artists to do their best. It always pisses me off when promoters like this one try to blame everyone else for their own failure
That thing about "bringing your fans to the UK" is total BS by the promoter. But on the other hand if I had the money I would follow you all over the world and probably take a bunch of my friends like Prince Prospero took his friends into his castle 🤣

I didn't know you were going to be playing locally to me (Bristol) until I just looked up the actual website of the venue for another concert. Another band that I've never even heard of that flag were promoting the adverts were all over facebook.
They shifted the blame to you because they completely messed up the whole tour and I've heard that isn't the first time they've done this to a band. For a company that's been in the business for 27 years it's a very amateurish way of them to behave.
PS why Not Donate the money to Claus and kurts choosing of Charities What Kurt has undergone it is just a thought

Danke fürs dieses Video! Bei einem amerikanischen Sänger, jetzt auf Tour geht in Europa standen bereits Termine und Location fest. 1 Monat vorher werden Location und Termine geändert. Sogar ein Konzert fällt aus. Begründung "Die Person, die fürs Organisieren der Locations zuständig war, versicherte, dass die Bühnenshow reinpasst. Was sich jetzt aber rausstellte, was wohl nicht geht." Also in Berlin von Columbia Halle zu Mercedes Benz Arena.

Well...Steve , you have community with many bands who played in UK. They know good promoters. This promoter just thought Only about own profit , he didn't check all that agency and you said , and contract was garanteed and signed. Promoter has put money to another bands when understood that won't be profit of bringing And One - your band to UK. Now what to say..... it's too late to change anything . BUT. Next time contact with another bands more and check a lot promoters. He was guilty , of course. Was a Contract ! With all details !

@@danielpayne500 for this you have to know every Law Condition there. Its somply not possible in a short time. The ways to make contracts between you and the Clubs are a way to different. It would be to naiv for us to try that. Thats why we need promoters and their own countries. In all other countries (24) on this Tour it went fine. (sorry for my english ;)

Not till 2020... Apparently. The US tour has been "postponed" due to the band not starting the visa process in time.
@@SilverRain79 Found out about the cancellation only because of the tickets being refunded to my credit card. To say it was extremely disappointing is an understatement. Even more discouraging was that the band couldn't bother to let fans know through their website or on any of their social media accounts. I had friends cancel plans to come to Mardi Gras so they could fly in weeks later for this instead. All that planning was 'Wasted.'

@@BenoitAdam no, germans are often bad in english and other languages. I was in Berlin and watched Lord of the Rings dubbed to german. Very weird! 😂 We have a lot of tourists from Germany here in Sweden and most of them speak very poor, if none, english.

Why did the promoter lie about the stage height in the beginning? He said all the venues passed on the 80 cm limit.
If the promoter said the TRUTH from the start I could decide, if I want to do it or not. In this case he said not the truth. That means I had to stand on a stage where I feel uncomfortable, not HE.
Honestly, Id rather see more bands be strict about stage height... It isnt fun going to an event when you cant see whats going on on the stage because the stage is too low and the band members arent tall

HOW long did you take to make this video? How much did it cost? Why do you show your agent as fit & handsome, and the promoter as scrawny & ugly? That seems a bullying thing to do. Is a lengthy pro video a reasonable way to setlle a dispute? There's a way to win fans, which is to play for them whatever the difficult circumstances (aka rock'n'roll). What is this video for???
Flag blamed everything on And One. That's what the video is for.
It took about 7 days. It costs nothing but my time, because I did it alone. And its up to ME how I see the persons.
If it’s not in the promoter’s interest to go ahead with gigs, it’s usually not in the artist’s interest either. Live Nation will pull a tour if ticket sales aren’t happening. Perhaps if the biggest synth-pop band in Germany did one gig in London it could have been a step towards becoming a slightly-known synth-pop band in the UK. Compromise for a common goal is always best.
