- Yuri Bezmenov (alias Tomas Schuman), a Soviet KGB defector, explains in detail his scheme for the KGB process of subversion and takeover of target societies at a lecture in Los Angeles, 1983.
Yuri Bezmenov was a former KGB propagandist who was assigned to New Dehli, India - and defected to the West in 1970.
Bezmenov explains his background, some of his training, and exactly how Soviet propaganda is spread in other countries in order to subvert their teachers, politicians, and other policy makers to a mindset receptive to the Soviet ideology.
He also explains in detail the goal of Soviet propaganda as total subversion of another country and the four-step formula for achieving this goal.
He recalls the details of how he escaped India, defected to the West, and settled in Montreal as an announcer for the CBC.

I know the russian troll farm ads advocated for both political extremes. The extremes are what causes conflict IMO, I'm not totally convinced that any liberal values whatsoever in a country is bad. Just like at the end of this video 1:00:00, there's a need for religion - like George Carlin said "it's the bullshit that binds us together". To me liberal values are no different than religion - fantasy stuff like no borders, gender is a spectrum, we're all equal, etc. I believe it's necessary for a healthy country though like he said at the end about religion. Actually we have had this knowledge since the 1930's.
Invasion - Out of necessity during WWII. The Soviets lost contact with almost all of their immigrant agents during the war and had to largely start over in subverting western society. Their big success before the war broke out was Spain. The Spanish Civil War was General Franco declaring war on the half of Spain's population that had been subverted by Soviet intelligence. After the war, their subversion of China which had begun in the 1920s took hold.
The Soviets have what American intelligence calls "Immigrant Agents". "The Village" (AKA Vinnystia, Ukraine) is the most visible aspect of the KGB's Immigrant Agent program. When "The Village" was discovered by British MI-6 in the 1960s the Russians shut it down and relocated the American training camp to an underground location in the Ural Mountains. It is still operational today. They Russians flood the world with their Immigrant Agents, who support Marxist movements in the countries they move too.
During WWII that program was only about a decade old, and the early focus had been on Eastern Europe, Spain, France, and China. The few Immigrant Agents they had in England, the US, and other nations mostly disappeared during the war and they had to start over. Ever since the 1960's the Soviet/Russians have maintained many thousands of Immigrant Agents in America at all times.
From about the 1960's onward there is not a nation on Earth that doesn't have a significant KGB presence within it, supporting native Marxist movements. Both Immigrant Agents and professionals.
