Went to Billy,s grave last Saturday. It was so emotional 😢.... He was a humble man...had a great voice...Passed away far too young....Miss him so much...xx😢
Halfway to Paradise was written by the great partnership of Carole King and Gerry Goffin and didn't Billy do them proud. A lovely looking guy who had a very good voice and stage persona. Billy loved animals and hopefully was very happy down on the farm. So stressful for anyone, especially when they are young to live with heart issues. Keep this lovely, talented man's memory alive by listening and sharing his music. Thanks for uploading
Watched this tonite, I was a BIG fan of Billy Fury, and enjoyed this documentary very very much. I was 11 years old when he began his career, so sad he was taken so young.
I grew up listening to true rock and roll. I was born in '78. I love Maybe tomorrow and a thousand stars. His voice is romantic, truthful. He sounds like he sings those words to touch your soul. I have just introduced my 11yr old to his music and now it is on repeat. What a sad loss to British music, leaving this world so young. His music needs to be celebrated more, I don't feel he is given the star status deserved. Very handsome fellas at that too..he did well to be around in the time of elvis, cliff and the Beatles. His music and songs are as.relevant now as back then. The days when music and songs were natural and true, gritty and from the heart & soul.
@Tony.k it's true about Billy though, his voice silky and smooth. Halfway to paradise is just such a lovely song. You feel the mood and intentions of the words x Ed Sheeran is probably one of the current artists to do this now
