Ahsan and Setiawan pair may not be the fastest and strongest pair..but they are sure my favorite pair till today..they are always calm and compose even under pressure...
Nope. They are both very strong and very fast. They just make it look easy and effortless. Back when they were younger/when this match happened they were one of the pairs with the most power and speed. Yes, they could do the Sukamuljo intercepts, too.
This is fantastic, but I think any number of the match ups between Lee Yong Dae/Jung Jae Sung and Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng are right up there with this! I love the calm demeanor of Ahsan/Setiawan and their use of change of pace tactics!
damnn hendra setiawan looks so focus, but mohammad ahsan looks very casual, but yet they played very well in this game, the accuracy and power are just wonderful from them both, i am their big fan from Malaysia 🇲🇾
I was thinking the same. Strange.. Ahsan plays completely differently here.. So many dropshots.. so few power smashes.. I wonder if it was related to injury or something like that.
This was a pretty good match to watch. But some years ago, there was another fantastic match for the ages. If I recall correctly, it was Chandra Wijaya/Sigit Budiarto vs Kim Dong-moon/Ha Tae-kwon in 2002. Phenomenal match that just kept us on the edge of our seats.
LYD is not a power smasher but his control and management of game makes him the best men's double player. He is one of the smartest badminton player ever.
It's a brilliant game but 2020 all England MD is one of the best MD for a long time . Basically u can see every trick in badminton available on that game
Legends. Looks so young. Ah San and Hendrawan are just too cool for school and still going. Love watching them play. They just lost by a whisker. Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong played a couple of points better when it mattered and although I wanted the Indonesians to win just for style, it was the Koreans that had that extra gas to close the match. Can't watch too many of these games, will get a heart attack!
Alhamdulillah, luar biasa. Selamat untuk yang menang. Ahsan / Hendra besok gantian yang menang terus-terus menang-menang terus-terus menang-aampai jadi juara.
Certainly the best match I've watched highlights of...... wondrous stuff from all.... sad to insist on there being a winner when both teams deserve it.
Very contrasting playing styles . Ahsan and setiwan are calm , patient and seem to barely move sometimes lol whereas lee and yoo are very active , always on the move and looking for the winner
I think the most exciting mens doubles match was Lee yong dae/ Jung jae sung vs Cai yun/Fu hai feng. All their matches are the best, and their rivalry is unmatchedd
A lot changed since 2015. Ahsan now shares the front court attack more nowaday. Their movements & power no longer the same but they know how to economize on energy. Most of all since 2015, minions' blitzkrieg attack ripped up the MD strategy forever.
kings of defense vs kings of consistency, it really could have swung either way. Much like most finals between LYD/JJS vs CaiYun/FuHaiFeng back in the days. That era of badminton... add in KooKienKiet/TanBoonHeong, Boe/Morgensen, Endo/Hayakawa, etc. Every pair had amazing defense so it's amazing to watch them trying to break each other down with counter attacks and varied angles of smashes. I miss it badly
Always great watching Hendra and Lee Yong Dae play. This pair is always calm and composed under pressure, just like in this game. This is fantastic, but I think any number of the match ups between Lee Yong Dae/Jung Jae Sung and Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng are right up there with this! I love the calm demeanor of Ahsan/Setiawan and their use of change of pace tactics! I always love watching this korean pair. But still Ahsan/Hendra has always been on my top list, in their prime, the opponents moved a lot, like a lot. A rare match when Hendra was the back court smasher and Ahsan was the playmaker and front interceptor. Certainly the best match I've watched highlights of...... wondrous stuff from all.... sad to insist on there being a winner when both teams deserve it. What a match! Truly incredible!
This match also shows the difference between Yoo Yeon Seong and Jung Jae Sung when it comes to pressure moments. Yoo folds under the extreme pressure sometimes, while Jung was an absolute killer, made very very few errors at all. Yoo's a fantastic player, no doubt, but Jung just had that something...different.
JJS was the reason they lost at london olympics lol, look how nervous he was against boe/morgensen. on the other hand I feel like yoo has been pretty solid in big tournament actually, if was actually yong dae who crumble in big moments. look who made the mistake in crucial moment in 2014 WC final, 2014 AG final, and 2016 OG QF...yong dae who was known to be the safest player in MD suddenly making uncharacteristic error.
I mean if we talk about regular tournament it's clear that LYD was the superior player, if we judge player based on regular tour than LYD was clearly the best player in the world. it just that when it comes to big events he always crumble and yoo was actually the one who's been solid in that kind of event@@ihsanrosdi4108
LYD is a great player but I think he is the one with the weak mentality. I think YYS & JJS always had to carry during crucial moments. LYD is more prone to unforced errors when he is under pressure whereas YYS & JJS fight back.
Dalam wawancara penyesalan terbesar karier DADDIES adalah kekalahan dr Lee/Yoo dlm partai final ini. Tp mereka membalas di final MD ASIAN GAMES 2014 KOREA.
The Best MS I have ever watched. Asian Games Final (Hiroshima ? 1994) Joko Supriyanto vs Haryanto Arbie (unfortunately no clips available anywhere). Asian Championship 2016 Semifinal LCW vs Lin Dan Asian Championship 2016 Final LCW vs Chen Long.
Still I think the best era of MD is during LYD JJS + FHF CY + MK HS + KKK TBH. Although Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa at the time didn't win that much, but still they put up great fight against those big names. So I'll include them in the list.
yeh this commentator didnt know technical aspect. only saying obvious and boring lines. he even cant spell yoo yeonseong name and always calls him by 'korea'. match would be better without hearing his comments tbh
When I watching this vedio, I just speak the word like wow..., oh~. I first watch badminton match on my life. So I was suprised by the badminton player's skill. And, I still remember the scene where the player sat in front of the net and received the opponent's ball. With this opportunity, I became interested in watching badminton games.
Its the korean favourite atmosphere. Defending in this kind of stadium where shuttle are hard to kill.. look at ahsan in this game.. his smashes aren't doing the normal damage as the other tournaments. Its kind of weird if korean didn't win this in their best elements.. defending
you can clearly see that even 5-6 years back doubles had lots more lifts. now technologies in racquets have made smashes so powerful people dont lift anymore. much faster and mostly flat playing styles now.
LYD somehow didn't learn that his smash is slow and the Indonesian (edited) pair was always able to defend it with a cross court return, which is a sure point for them
@@abhs1141people only think it's faster now because there are more shots per second. Back then matches between these pairs were not only fast but they constantly try to outmaneuvre their opponents. If any of these pairs in there prime were to play in MD now, they'd still be among the fastest people.
Ahsan and Setiawan pair may not be the fastest and strongest pair..but they are sure my favorite pair till today..they are always calm and compose even under pressure...
They are very consistent and shoot placement is tricky
They are smart not that energetic but smartness is what matters
They both very crafty..
They gameplay is like looking for counter attack

Tq malaysia...
Always great watching Hendra and Lee Yong Dae play. We’ll witnessed a magical play like this one!
I always love watching this korean pair. But still Ahsan/Hendra has always been on my top list, in their prime, the opponents moved a lot, like a lot.
This broadcaster is on firee, we need someone who can talk like him, very very entertaining
A rare match when Hendra was the back court smasher and Ahsan was the playmaker and front interceptor.
hendra was still the playmaker
I was thinking the same. Strange.. Ahsan plays completely differently here.. So many dropshots.. so few power smashes.. I wonder if it was related to injury or something like that.

thanks for the suggestion, the match would hopefully give me some adrenaline rush :)
😊
Ricky/Rexy vs Malaysian pairs Cheah Soon-Kit or something, probably ALL England Final (mid '90s)
That 2002 All england was a good match. Old experimental service scoring system. Best of 5 games to 7 points.
i can agree.. this is one of the best double match ive ever seen👏🙌.. the rally, technique, even the score, omg... great pair both of team
Pp
These two pairs has no limits.
Look at the emotion of korean winning pair. Yongdae ever mentioned that hendra almost always wins the tournament if they lost. I enjoyed this clip
PRIME Era of Mens Doubles.
can't believe The Daddies still on World top 5 right now.
thats true
LYD is not a power smasher but his control and management of game makes him the best men's double player. He is one of the smartest badminton player ever.
preferensi sih, tapi gue lebih suka liat Ahsan-Hendra ketimbang minions... rotasi nya, tekniknya, trick dari Ahsan, enjoy banget diliat
I love this commentator's enthusiasm and comments about the actual match and not spewing out loads of stats . Does anyone know his name?
Gillian Clark / Steen Pedersen
John Burgess. He's great at badminton commentating, terrible at table tennis.
@@jinsakai5749 . Certainly not; and Gillian's a woman.
@@-danR Thank you. I don't hear him commentated these days. Mind you, I only listen to the BWF channel, so he could be elsewhere
12:18 what a spin serve from Lee Yong Dae. Overall, a great both offensive & defensive play.
Great smash from Setiawan
the art of defend ..Lee young dae the only one
Amazing observation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't even tell how he does that spin serve
Young Ahsan = Absolutely Beast
Yes of course...but young fajri is a LOSER....
It's a brilliant game but 2020 all England MD is one of the best MD for a long time . Basically u can see every trick in badminton available on that game
What match it is?
Minions vs endo/watanabe
this Ind pair is my all time fav .. Korea played soo well here , they deserve the win ..
