Some of SiWei's smashes from so far back of the court, returns and RECOVERY were ridiculous as seen from this close up angle and I love it!! Literally, can't kill him when you think you've won the point!! YaQiong was rock solid in defense as well. Not any hint of hesitation or lack of confidence.
Now you know how they train and how long each set of drills were, hopefully you can implement it into your own training. It's also interesting to note that both of you had to resort to "tricks shots" and shots out of the ordinary to win some of your points. A standard game play just wouldn't do.
Loved the rock, paper, scissors idea.
    Love from Australia!! 🙂🙂

To be honest, as a chinese whos really into badminton, I never thought it would be possible for someone from the chinese national badminton team to invite players from other countries to do the training, i thought it faces a lot of obstacles(not from the player, but from the system if you know what i mean). But anyway, it is a great start and thank you so much Greg and Jenny for making the first ever step, i hope this would be more and more common and all the badminton players from all over the world can train and communicate with each other and eventually make badminton a more influenced sport in the world!!!

I went to watch the Malaysia Open for the first time as a kid. Dad got us good seats to watch and let me tell you, all the players were otherworldy in their movements. So fast, so quick, and their shots were SO LOW to the net its crazy how consistent they were in trying to force the lifts from the opponent. The craziest to me is watching LCW literally fling his body to defend sharp cross-court smashes and get up like its no big deal. You really do need to be close to realize how superhuman top level badminton players are.

It seems like they have a tiny edge of like 0,1% that makes all the difference in the world and allows them to win 99% of the time which is crazy at this level.

AMAZING. Brilliant video. No disrespect intended to the camera teams at the official tournaments but your close court footage made the rallies an edge-of-the-seat thrill to watch and really show off how athletic you all are. Love these insights and hope you both gain skills and knowledge that help you have more opportunities to compete against these two in the future. Maybe we can petition for lottery funding to pay for regular massages between your training. ;)

Noted during the match, both Greg and Jenny often hit to Siwei's backhand side at the backcourt, and most of the time he retrieves them via forehand. That's some impressive footwork there.

So fortunate you can even come back.. It shows that Siwei/Yaqiong really can do a lot what they want ? I thought their training programs is set by the national coaches and that they have to follow ?? Really nice video !! Special friendship; and unique so I hope you collaborate more in the future !!

Siwei seems like such a genuine and laid back person. And all this hard training, no wonder why China have such strong players 😅
Little sad that we didn't see much of YaQiong but I guess it's because of language barrier. Maybe next time 😊

Really shows the difference investment in sports professional makes. Their warm upnis 40min. UK sports athletes squeeze 40min training in between regular jobs. You guys are a credit. But I bet you loved learning from.these guys.
