I know it's two years late but it's funny you mention Danny DeVito because Robert Costanzo actually voiced an animated version of Danny on an episode of Family Guy. He's also probably more well known as the voice of Detective Harvey Bullock from Batman: The Animated series.
"Howdy stranger. Yes, I would like to have a room please" "You do realize you've called a prison?" "Yeeah, what's in the two week package? How much is that?"
I love how Harry hollers at Quaid for blabbing about Maws. Then he's trying to get his goons to pull him out of sight so nobody hears them. Poor Quaid. He never even been to Mahls.
A small but memorable performance by Robert Costanzo(Harry). He’s been in dozen of films. Mostly small parts. He had a hilarious small part in 1991’s City Slickers as Sal.
Colo118 I agree too. Although I find his performance in parts a bit campy. Schwarzenegger is still believable throughout the movie despite his campy acting in a few scenes.
1:08 I love Arnies headlock reversal here, Paul Ver Hoven's fight scenes are so cool, they make everyone look like they are really doing damage on each other, those awesome sound effects help, Apple crunchy sound effect for the arm assisted neck break was particularly memorable 1:05
0:38 what Arnold said to his science teacher as a kid when his science teacher while teaching astronomy caught Arnold slacking off and demanded Arnold tell him and the whole class everything he knew about Mars
What a great time to be a Foley artist creating so many inventive sounds! 1:06 definitely had to be either a stock of celery or a big green pepper to create that neck crunch!
He technically still didnt remember anything so if they stopped antagonizing him and let him continue his normal boring life the memories probably would of never came back , there the ones who actually triggered the memories not recall , thats my opinion atleast
Everything about this movie was years ahead of it's time. The hologram, VR glasses, the internet, robots driving, Mars travel, instant nail polish color, x rays screening at the airport, etc.,
I didn't get it the first time I saw it, just figured It's Arnold kicking ass, but realized later that after going to Recall, his training as a Spy came back to him on an Instinctive level and was able to take them all out
So children - this is how you deal with a group of thugs if attacked on the way back from school. Remember to clean up before you arrive home and dispose of any gun responsibility
Love all of the over-the-top-violence and gut crunching action? You can thank Paul Verhoeven, he's the one who directed 1987 Robocop, Robocop 2 1990, and Starship Troopers 1997. Hope this helps
I think the whole "you blabbed about Mars" thing lends itself into the film being the memory that he got from Recall because it doesn't really make sense and it's like it pulls characters from his life into the story.
I love not Danny Devito.
Holy shit! Yep!👍
Merry Christmas cop from die hard 2
This is "Discount" Danny DeVito. 😂😂😂
Another idiot talking promoting his channel lol

This scene is simply beatifull, all this crack noises and explicit violence ...ahhh the 80's and 90's
@TheGreaterGood80 i think it was someone biting into an apple
Andrew Heller The crack noises was actually celery being broken in half.
No its all quick cuts no blood letting with annoying music in the background

Such a brutally awesome fight scene.

Harry literally looks like Danny DeVito.
Arnold what you done? You killed your leftover crap twin brother.
The actor playing Harry is also a sound-alike/double for Danny Devito
Facts he do though
The neck crack sounds were made by twisting and snapping a whole head of celery. Love those Foley sound people.
When Harry offers to buy you a drink, you go get that drink...
Even at gun point! 😀
either that or crush his throat with your shoe
Agreed
This is the best hand to hand combat swartzeneggar fight scene there is!
Fuzzy Puppet go check Myles Bennet Dysons channel..
Fuzzy Puppet Come on don't bullshit me
Excepting commando on the grounds of classicism, its arguable.
Conan had the best melee fight scenes from Arnold IMO
Loved his bathroom fight scene in True Lies as well ("Here, cool off!").

I’m pretty sure the editors took some bites of apples to get the neck snaps. 🤣

The squib and blood bag work in the movie was absolutely quintessential 80's, loved every bit of it.
Amazing acting by Arnie I like how his charector transitions seemlesly.
Yeah i think it his best performance in a movie so far. He shouldve done more movie with Paul Verhoeven.
Yeah they gave their everything in this cult Masterpiece.

Best action star of all time. He has no equal.
One movie I enjoyed start to finish..Great fight scenes .Great one liners. Great science fiction plot transfer to the screenplay.
Whenever I get in trouble at home, I always blame "Harry from work"...
They knew how to make movies in those days. A lost art.

I love how he killed 4 people in a high traffic area and no one above or around even looks to see what's going on
He's already in the dream/trip
The guy with the mustache was in Robocop - he was Sal’s bodyguard.
Who also killed Sal. Great bodyguard he was.
Well, to be fair, he took one of RoboCop’s hits to the chest.
This guy reminds me of Danny Devito.
When Arnold said he doesn't want a drink, you say thank you sir and walk away with your life.
Arnold was always such a badass.
right?
This movie was filmed in the year 2080. Very futuristic
Everything about this movie was years ahead of it's time. The hologram, VR glasses, the internet, robots driving, Mars travel, instant nail polish color, x rays screening at the airport, etc.,
