Just a little hint for people who don't like the Dragon's Stand meta or don't have time for it: There are three Blighting Pods that spawn regardless of meta completion. Their exact spots vary, but they will generally be towards the end of the lanes, one each. Since you only need one Crystalline Ore for this, you can use a mount or other sneaky method and just open any one of these on any Dragon's Stand map. Opening a pod is guaranteed to drop you at least one ore and there you go.

I am so far enjoying all the steps (yes, including the Wayfarer's Henge, maybe except the hearts-16-days-in-a-row part) and I really appreciate that it gave me a reason to spend some time in the maps that I would normally just rush through - especially Draconis Mons, which I hated at first, but kinda started to like it. I even enjoyed both jumping puzzles - Chalice of Tears and Searing Ascent (with TACO tho, don't understand how someone is able to do it without it). TLDR: Thanks for the guide, I might soon have my first legendary because of it :)
Quick update: a bit by bit, I just finished the Aurora II: Empowering collection and all that stands between me and my first legendary is a Gift of Battle, which I'm starting to work towards. Just want to encourage all of you, who think you don't have enough time for all this - I really don't play very often, once a week for a couple of hours with my friends, few times a week for a couple of minutes to do dailes, nothing extra, and yet I managed to get this far. Don't give up guys, get yourselves your very own Aurora! :)
Done Vision before starting on Aurora, and looking back, it seema that Aurora have easier steps if compared to Vision (apart from the 16 days time gated Druid stones), i believe this arises where LS4 achievement required for getting the mastery is actually way more than LS3 (LS3 around 20ish, LS4 have up to 38, and this cannot be skipped using wvw, yes the Jahai Bluffs) There are basically only 2 issues (minor) with Aurora, which is the druid stone and the Chalice of Tears (which i done 4 times, during : LS3 Ember bay release, return of ember bay, getting the gleam of sentience, and for aurora master) apart from that, aurora is pretty easier compared to Vision (3000 kalkratoric ore, unskippable Jahai bluffs mastery, funerary incense(for this i do not have a problem due to pre LS4 release, we just grind bounty hunting in Crystal Desert)
important note: xunlai ingots are NOT timegated, rather the mithrillium is. it's 50 mithril ingots, relatively cheap and used in many set 2 legendarys and ascended weapons and armours. make 1 at every opportunity.
If you REALLY don't wanna do chalice a second time (bc... understandable), get all of the other items for gleam of sentience required, get every coin except for the ones in the JP, complete the jp up until you get all the required coins. Then use a handy dandy portable mystic forge (the permanent, account bound once used one can be made by following this recipe / bought off the tp: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge_Conduit_(container) and the single use one can be crafted / bought: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge_Node) Throw all of your converters into it, unlock the big boy converter and Aurora achievements, and continue on with the jp! It's a big work around but if you're horrible at or hate jps, chalice is one of (if not THE) worst imo, so it's worth it to avoid doing it a second time. Plus if you don't have the portable MF I think it's pretty handy and worth having! I love having it for DW because I can throw all my medallions into it and hopefully get an amalgamated :D
Great guide, and what I’m finding is that even if the zone you’re in isn’t the Season 3 daily zone, it’s still got quite a bit of traffic because a lot of people are working on Aurora.
Another side note: For the Draconis Mons "A Henge Away from Home" achievement you literaly need to do 3 other collections to even unlock it. The Druid Stone - 7 items Awakening the Druid Stone - 14 items Sprouting the Druid Stone - 21 items Wich means, to do the "A Henge Away from Home" achievement you need to collect/deliver 74 items. God damn this is so much fkin work... especialy since i haven't even done "The Druid Stone" achievement yet ^^
Wished I saw this before working on Aurora, I got stuck on getting that druid backpack as my last achievement, and didn’t start pre grinding for it at the start l. …so I watch the video for Vision and saw that too had a few day grind to it. So I work on both, and now I’m the happy owner of both Vision and Aurora
Thanks for the guide man. Both this and several other guides you've made have indeed helped me a lot too, on many things, like the creation of my home instance, and to find items i need too ^w^!
I know i commented this on the ascension backpack quide but i did this trinket already but because mukluk does so good videos i desided to watch this 😁 keep it going mukluk
do the draconis mons hearts every day - and get all 5 of the shards each day. You'll need 16*5=80 of them (as stated in the video). You don't have to progress anything else if you don't have time - just keep the fragments to make druid runestones. If you have only a few minutes online in a day (e.g. real life requirements), just buy the single fragment at the draconis mons mariner's landing Supplymaster Hanjo - just requires 1000 UM and no time investment. I just finished aurora last night and this was the biggest stumbling block/time gate. Everything else was just plugging away a little each day.
How is getting 1000 unbound magic faster than completing a heart? I'd say time investment to get 1000 UM is order of magnitude larger that to complete just one heart.
I did chalice of tears 3 times during this process and actually got really good at it...I still get Vietnam style flash backs from my first run at it which took a while as It was new and I had no Mesmer. Once you know the Path I did it on my ranger number 2 and 3 with very little issues besides the general random fall here and there which getting back to that point was no real effort. All in all looking back this was quite a fun process and really gives some purpose to playing the game and previous meta events which was great.
Xunlai Electrum Ingot is not timegated itself, but one of the components is. Be sure to be dilligent with your four daily craftings to avoid such situations!
True, I leveled jeweler specifically for this purpose. Imagine my surprise, when I was able to craft 2 Xunlai Ingots at once :D Only then I realized it's actually the Lump of Mithrillium that's making it time-gated. Well, at least I have a jeweler now.
Popping in, in 2024. Still a very useful guide! Slowly worming my way through the Mastery achievements, and dreading the inevitable money/material sink that is the gift crafting. But itll be worth it, i hope. Thanks for the guide Mukluk ❤
By the time I was down to just the wvw items I had actually finished the draconic mons achievements, and was 2 away from some of the other zone achievements - so check how close you are before diving into wvw because you might accidentally be closer than you think.
With the coming story achievements, the maps will likely be fairly populated again for a time. It will be a good chance to work on a lot of these collections.
I watched this also and quickly leveled up jewelcrafting for the same reason. But I get to 400 and I don't see a daily cooldown anymore. I crafted two of em right off to test it. Did they remove it? It's Dec 13, 2023 but I can't find anything on google about it. The GW2wiki page doesn't mention the time gate either.
Lamo, i remember the staff and shield from Lake Doric when I was doing it. I didn't have enough karma to buy them lol. I went to Dragonfall to farm karma :p
@@ClerifyGames I personally havent ran into a bot as the map is huge. Once you get to lvl 80 you will never run into one. TO many great things to do with parties to have bots ruin it for ya. And ive not ran into bots in pvp myself. There are a few types of pvp modes. I say get to lvl 80 and get the main quest out the way. get some mounts and explore the game and then when ur ready for pvp..dont pvp lol get gear for pvp first. Its takes about a month or 2 of daily logging and grinding to get the gear and then after you have gear try your hand in pvp.
Made Aurora a couple years back, and it was pretty time consuming, especially with the time gated collections and achievements. I paid a couple of mesmers handsomely for porting me around that dreadful JP 😂 twice! Have to say that Vision was considerably easier. Thanks to pvp/wvw reward tracks, you can get the required corsair armor pieces without having to actually fully finish story achivements. If you only want one of them, again,.I found Vision easier to get than Aurora.
I was crafting Xunlai while doing druid stone achivo. just finish druid stone and all the first collection yesterday. what I'd suggest is that a lot of Aurora achievements tie to events in lwss3 maps which can be empty, so plan for it, look at the lwss3 daily and go to the daily map to do the collection. Because there will always be more people on the daily map and it makes the whole collection much easier. For the items that need you to finish story masteries, I ended up doing it all. I feel like the achievements are much easier compared to lwss4 for Vision except the Siren's landing one but WvW is also another choice to get it. Ps. f*ck the RNG in the collection. SOme items took me more than a week lol. I understand why a lot of people hate it and they get rid of it for the Vision collection lol
It's a relief you can skip meta achieves with PVP/WvW. Was really disappointed when working on Vision when you couldn't do that in jahai. Ironically though, doing the Elegy collection was really great. And I didn't realize how good the story for it was until I played through it again (I was hammering through for skyscale on round 1). Also I'm super poor and have the precursors for like 3 legendaries, but not the cash to convert them >.
Thanks once again for the tutorial Mukluk. I'm aiming for this leggy after grinding Vision with your tutorial aswell. One question: are the "skins" achivements retroactive? Let's stay I start working on the Wayfarer's Henge now that I don't still have the Aurora: awakening Achivemente unlocked. If I get it done before unlocking it, will it count once I manage to unlock, or will I have to repeat it once again? (same would apply for Bloodstone Crown and all those rewards from PvP-WvW)? Thanks again for all your work!
You should start with the Crystalized Suet. It can takes more than a week (more than Draconis mon part) of daily chest run (only 5 attempts a day) to get if you are unlucky.
This guide is litteraly coming when I'm done with Aurora: Awakening (OR NOT), the bad thing is I have to wait 13 days cause of the Druid Stone achievement line... Also "It's supposed to take time" when I done it in 3 days including the Guizmo to unlock xD
cannot believe i already did gleam of sentience just because i didnt want the ore the fragments and the dust in my inventory ....i still remember chalice of tears .....lots of tears
@@Cuiva you know it's funny you comment on this now, I got the achievement last week when doing the "return to..." achievement and didn't even try to do it... well thanks for the tip anyway
i started working on this 2 months ago and got as far a needing a meta in lake doric near the resivor but it never triggers nor is there ever anyone in the zone doing metas. i gave up on it and moved onto other aspirations
This helps a lot. But I'm confused about the Wayfarer's Henge achievement. It says I have to complete the Henge Away From home but I can't find that in my achievement panel. What do I do with the Druid Fragments after 16 days? Will it be obvious?
By doing the "long-step-pve-achievements" you get quite a lot of stuff that can be sold (Even unbound Magic), also in these days with mounts the farm is waaayyy shorter so don't give up.. you can make it!!
@@fernaxv farm? You mean like doing brainless stuff over and over for gold? Not for me, it's boring af. All my gold come from weekly raids and daily fractals (when I have time)
5:30 I just farmed the hound mantle during the anniversary boost, because I completely agree.... Screw that. 😂 It only took an hour or 2 with all the xp boost stacking. 😂
Curious about the Chalice of tears jp. If I park my character after completing it once, can I jump onto another character and get to the point of having to do it again, then switch back to the first character, will I get credit the second time? I think this worked for dailies
Everything was chugging along till we got to 8:45 Forging Time! and I gotta say after crafting The Shining Blade I am all tapped out of those resources sir :c
A warning about one the Lake Doric portion of this legendary. Apparently the one Champion you need to kill, Immelhoof, is part of a set of events in the White Mantle Noran's Homestead meta. If "Defend Noran's Homestead" bugs out, the ONLY ways to proceed would be if a new instance gets made, or a game patch is released. This is has soured my experience with making this legendary.
I like the Legendaries for their appearance - I'm a casual gamer so I don't need the switching function. So I was very sad when all the Legendary trinkets had the appearance of these floating balls. When the first one came out, I thought "that's ok, the next trinket will have something different from floating balls so maybe I'll like that one." But nope, one after the other they were all floating balls. And the 2nd and 3rd were very strange and not clear what they were supposed to be from a distance. 😥
Hey Muk, i have a question. I just unlocked the first step for aurora (and GODS YES I FIND SOME OF THE ACHIEVEMENTS HORRIFYING TwT....!), so i am thinking on trying the WvW mode to get them done, but i was wondering, does the track resets after some time? I am afraid i don't play all the time and every day, so i wish to know if i can do it with a simple pace like i have been doing all along. I am in no rush with it. I know it will take time before get the item, but just curious if i choose that way, would that mean i must dedicate more time to it, so i wont lose the track, from a reset, or i can just keep going on my own pace as i have so far?
No, that wvw reward track fur aurora items does NOT ever reset. There is a seperate track that operates on "pips" that resets each week, but that isn't what you are referring to.
I didn't think to add this during video creation, so I'm going to add it here. If you have trouble getting certain achievements done (for example: not enough people to do a boss kill you need even though its open world) look under achievements -> daily -> daily living world season 3. Done Vision before starting on Aurora, and looking back, it seema that Aurora have easier steps if compared to Vision (apart from the 16 days time gated Druid stones), i believe this arises where LS4 achievement required for getting the mastery is actually way more than LS3 (LS3 around 20ish, LS4 have up to 38, and this cannot be skipped using wvw, yes the Jahai Bluffs)
There are basically only 2 issues (minor) with Aurora, which is the druid stone and the Chalice of Tears (which i done 4 times, during : LS3 Ember bay release, return of ember bay, getting the gleam of sentience, and for aurora master) apart from that, aurora is pretty easier compared to Vision (3000 kalkratoric ore, unskippable Jahai bluffs mastery, funerary incense(for this i do not have a problem due to pre LS4 release, we just grind bounty hunting in Crystal Desert)
I love the "it doesn't sparkle it's just me" hahahahaha
important note: xunlai ingots are NOT timegated, rather the mithrillium is. it's 50 mithril ingots, relatively cheap and used in many set 2 legendarys and ascended weapons and armours. make 1 at every opportunity.
If you REALLY don't wanna do chalice a second time (bc... understandable), get all of the other items for gleam of sentience required, get every coin except for the ones in the JP, complete the jp up until you get all the required coins.
Then use a handy dandy portable mystic forge (the permanent, account bound once used one can be made by following this recipe / bought off the tp: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge_Conduit_(container) and the single use one can be crafted / bought: wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge_Node)
Throw all of your converters into it, unlock the big boy converter and Aurora achievements, and continue on with the jp!
Great guide, Muk. Thanks for sharing, and for the points about getting those items on the PVP reward track instead.
It is a lot of work for an item. But like any research paper, it's best done in bits. Not all at once like many people tend to do.
How was this comment listed two day ago when it was released a few hours ago?
@@ericcooke2661 I'm subscribed to Muk's twitch. Twitch subs and Patreon patrons get early access to new videos.
@@ericahess7508 Oh, none of my Patreon do that, they make an independent link.
Every legendary takes time. Not just this trinket.
@@hiimzdeny__2878 yup. They're not things you're gonna knock out in a day. They're multi-day projects.
The Druid Stone - 7 items
Awakening the Druid Stone - 14 items
Sprouting the Druid Stone - 21 items
Wich means, to do the "A Henge Away from Home" achievement you need to collect/deliver 74 items.
God damn this is so much fkin work... especialy since i haven't even done "The Druid Stone" achievement yet ^^
Oh noooooooooooooooo I was ready to start later today with the 16 stones, but it seems I need to finish the other things before that!
@@Pike27 Yep.
I just finished my aurora today!! Thank you for your guide it helped me so much!
Congrats! How long did it take you?
Was so happy when i realized i had done most of it without knowing :)
do the draconis mons hearts every day - and get all 5 of the shards each day.
Hears "Chalice of Tears"
...
Nope. Nope, nope, nope
yes yes yes, i ts fun ..
Was just planning on doing it, great timing!
Just finished it and got the Aurora, ty once again Mr!
All in all looking back this was quite a fun process and really gives some purpose to playing the game and previous meta events which was great.
everyone complaining about how long it all is, me only complaining about getting those mats.
Just crafted mine. Thanks for the guide!
I know I'm late to the party but I just finished and I wanted to say thank you. This was a lot of help!
Even if you made this video 30 minutes long, I'd still watch it. Just means more Mukluk!
thanks a TON for this video ^^ helped me alot! Greetings from Norway, have a nice Day/Night :D Thumbs up. Keep up the good work bud!
I came away with : There is a WvW track for that :
Not sure if possible, having the moving like button be clickable.
Love the vid.
Thanks for the guide. Finally got it. Now time to enslave myself for Vision
Thanks to this video i finished my aurora today. 😃🙏. Thanks muk!
Thanks for the guide, I need to see how many of these tasks I already have and didn't even know it. :)
Thanks for the guide Mukluk ❤
your way of presenting is awesome and sweet. thank you :D
I love how u explain all the process broth
By the time I was down to just the wvw items I had actually finished the draconic mons achievements, and was 2 away from some of the other zone achievements - so check how close you are before diving into wvw because you might accidentally be closer than you think.
You've convinced me to go for it
With the coming story achievements, the maps will likely be fairly populated again for a time. It will be a good chance to work on a lot of these collections.
Glad I rewatched this cause I had totally forgot about the xunlay ingots and their daily crafting limit. Need to add that to my daily routine.
Great time to be doing this and vision with the free episodes coming out- more populated maps
Great guide. Thanks!
guild wars has so much stuff you can do lol. This game is so good
I just started playing, and it's been great! Saw a bot in action today tho... do you guys noticed them a lot? I've heard they are a issue in PvP
Also I'm super poor and have the precursors for like 3 legendaries, but not the cash to convert them >.
oh lord, now i remember how much time i invested to get mine years ago ^^ daaaaang that was a pain in the ass
Yes, the skins are retroactive. It just checks to see if you have them.
Lol now a vision video 😂
Thank you for the guide 😍
It's on my to do list, only a few more legendary guides to go!
Thank you Mr Muk!
Watching this again to reminisce my torment doing this
I am confused. This was just uploaded minutes ago but we have a comment from yesterday
Early access to Patrons and twitch subs for helping support the videos.
Ohhh.. Okay
You should start with the Crystalized Suet. It can takes more than a week (more than Draconis mon part) of daily chest run (only 5 attempts a day) to get if you are unlucky.
I have been playing the game since launch on and off and I still do not have any legendary items. Maybe I should get on that
This guide is litteraly coming when I'm done with Aurora: Awakening (OR NOT), the bad thing is I have to wait 13 days cause of the Druid Stone achievement line... Also "It's supposed to take time" when I done it in 3 days including the Guizmo to unlock xD
I feel that ._.
Time gates suck
Dude....u did all that in 3 days... That's incredible
@@Halalawi999 I just have free time and motivation to don't give up when I fix myself an objective, that's not that crazy
@@ViviLouF is it worse than skyscale tho?
@@xXMetalforever1994Xx Nope , I find it easier, even making all the Achievements for the 6 episodes cause I didn't done Reward Tracks
cannot believe i already did gleam of sentience just because i didnt want the ore the fragments and the dust in my inventory ....i still remember chalice of tears .....lots of tears
I have been 1 achievement away from the Bitterfrost's gloves and you are telling me I COULD JUST PVP THEM?!
GODAMN ICE BEAST AND ICE SPELL
YAP
I feel you man. Doing that "not getting frozen" solo achievement is hard af xD
for the "Not being frozen" Achivement, I just let Braham and Gorm fight the boss till all the minions were gone, then I went in and bonked him.
@@Cuiva you know it's funny you comment on this now, I got the achievement last week when doing the "return to..." achievement and didn't even try to do it...
well thanks for the tip anyway
*Me staring at dozens of XP boosters I never used*
I guess it's time to get into WvW. I only need to do two of the reward tracks.
Do it, you might even like it!
Hey Muk, what is the glide skin you have at 3:57?
I believe that was vermillion wings
i started working on this 2 months ago and got as far a needing a meta in lake doric near the resivor but it never triggers nor is there ever anyone in the zone doing metas. i gave up on it and moved onto other aspirations
"slightly" hidden coins is the understatement of the century for the Mursaat Tokens.
Hardest Part:
- JP 2:52 (Park Alt there, as you need it again @ 6:26)
- 20+ daily crafting (xunlai)
The Lake Doric collection involves drops from 3 bosses spawned in an event. I'm not so sure they are soloable, or maybe my characters are weak...
This helps a lot. But I'm confused about the Wayfarer's Henge achievement. It says I have to complete the Henge Away From home but I can't find that in my achievement panel. What do I do with the Druid Fragments after 16 days? Will it be obvious?
Hello
Thanks for video
If someome could tell me,
Between aurora and vision, time of work is pretty similar ?
Thanks muk
helpful, thank you :)
Just crafted legendary backpack. I need just 1k gold for Coalescence/Aurora (ignoring the achievements). Pretty expensive for my budget right now :c
All my gold come from weekly raids and daily fractals (when I have time)
Do a bunch of achievements and you are rewarded with a bill. Stupid game lol.
Just finished mine, thanks to your guide! Thank you Mukluk!
5:30 I just farmed the hound mantle during the anniversary boost, because I completely agree.... Screw that. 😂 It only took an hour or 2 with all the xp boost stacking. 😂
I think doing wvw for the achivment parts is fine due to the fact it will add to the stuff i need for the rings
What if i ve done some. Of the achievs before starting the collection. Do i need to do them. Again? (books in bloodstone fen for example)
i subbed and hit like button :)) im sure this is useful to me so again Thanks :D
I am 6 min in this video and I already feel like I need to lay down for a couple of hours. Jeeeeeezzz
@@MuklukUA-cam I see. Thanks a lot Muk ^w^!!
I always get to this achievements and think: Hey, its doable! I think I can make it! And then I see the mystic tribute.
