You are an amazing human being! How are you do all this and help everybody, while also having young children at the same time.… Actually I think I know the answer. You are healthy and taking care of yourself, so anyone who has optimum health, should and would be able to do this relatively stress-free and without a whole lot of difficulty. Not saying it’s not a challenge, but you were able to do it because your brain works! Thank you thank you thank you and I love that your baby is in your videos, such a delight to hear the happy baby noises!
Thank you! The information you're sharing, is useful and necessary and the whole concept behind it resonates a lot with me. I only didn't understood why productswise many things has to be pasturised? For example, I'm trying to buy eggs from neighbour farm with everything that's on them and if we have someone butchering a lamb or deer, I don't think the butcher does something similar to pasturising to the meat he cuts. As long as food is handled safely, I don't think a sterilisation is needed as such things were not done in past and my guess is that it made people's immune systems to develop more hardy.Maybe I just didn't understand correctly what was ment with pasturised items.
Firstly I wanted to say thank you for all your info going to get my three year old autistic son on the GAPS diet became I’m getting my boy back one way or another, but he never did well with dairy in fact we cut out diary all together. Is there any way to do GAPS without diary or is it because it’s Raw milk would my son benefit from it? Thank you!
Great question! Dr. Natasha recommends raw cultured dairy on GAPS whenever possible. She has info on her book on how to do the dairy introduction protocol at the right time. Some people do GAPS without dairy for a time, and then do the dairy introduction protocol. Hope that helps!
You are a gem :) I am planning to start the GAPS diet, will prepare myself in the coming weeks. After watching this video I have a question, why do I need a juicer? Can I also use a blender? I do have a strong blender and juicers are expensive..
Great question! Juicers remove the fiber, which is important. You can use a high powered blender and then strain the juice afterwards to remove the pulp :)
I'd like to start the diet but I don't have access to all the organic ingredients in my area. -Can I still do the GAPS diet with beef, lamb and chicken from the local butchery that is grain-fed (without antibiotics)? -Do you think organic fruits and vegetables are essential or does conventional produce work fine? -I don't have a water filter as of yet and the only filtered water I can buy comes in plastic bottles. Is that still preferable to tap water?
Yes, you can use the meat you can find locally. Organic is better, but use what you can. Yes, I would still prefer the bottled water over tap water. Hope that helps! Sending well wishes your way!
I have mold toxicity and CIRS Been gluten free But I have a lot of fatigue and anxiety Will this diet help me with my issues ? I’m. Also on oil is oreagan and other supplements.
I think it's a good idea for some who need it! I can personally relate to it. When I did GAPS I needed a lot of the carb rich veggies. Even now, I see that I do best with mostly fat and carbs, with some protein. 😊
Here in the UK I have a slow cooker (I think this may also be known as a crock pot) could I use this to make the different types of yoghurt required for the gaps diet? Thank you in advance.
Hi Malisa, I am just planning to start my GAPS diet. Do I need to be on any supplements? I am severely iron deficient to the point where I have had multiple iron infusions. I am hoping this will work for me. And I want to do everything that will help. Thank you.
Do you know if buckwheat is ok for this diet. Considering it’s gluten free and it’s considered to be a seed vs grain. I generally have no issues with that as I grew up in Russia and it’s a staple for our diet. Thank you 🙏
Hi Marisa, I am starting the Gaps diet today. Can I still have my organic collagen and Norwegian fish oils in capsule form? Also, it is illegal to sell or purchase raw milk so what should I do? Thanks, Dana
Good for you! Yes, the collagen and fish oil should be fine. If raw milk isn't available, you can try to find non homogenized milk, and culture it into yogurt and kefir. I'll be talking more about this. :) Sending well wishes your way!
@@BumblebeeApothecary thank you sooo much. My son do not want to drink broth or stock. I do not know where to Start because those are essential in the gaps diet. Greetings from germany
Are ceramic cookware fine to use? We have cast iron but the clean up takes a longer than I want to spend my time. We have some stainless steel pans but certain foods stick…
Yes, ceramic is good as long as the coating doesn't contain lead. Here is how I care for my cast iron - it's very fast and easy :) ua-cam.com/video/m3d5aUg6EnQ/v-deo.html
Yes, I make my own. I do have a couple videos on how to render it. In the meantime, this is a good option for some you can buy: (affiliate link) amzn.to/2qEqcY1 I also have a video on where to buy tallow, and it goes over some tips on sourcing good beef fat 😊

Hi Marisa...I have. fridge full of sourdough rye bread will I be able to eat that on the GAPS diet? I have all the other electrical appliances besides a yoghurt maker can I eat double cream plain yoghurt containing 50 billion bifidobacterium? I also have Tapioca Flour and Chickpea Flour on hand which I make spinach wraps from can I use that?
Good questions! Rye (and other grains) aren't allowed on GAPS because grains are irritating and hard to digest for a healing gut. It will keep in the freezer until you're ready :) If your yogurt is homemade and cultured for 24 hours, it's good for GAPS. Tapioca flour and chickpea flour aren't allowed on GAPS because they're too starchy. Starches feed all gut bacteria indiscriminately, and on GAPS we want to build up just the good bacteria. I highly recommend reading Dr. Natasha's GAPS book :)
There isn't really a way to follow a vegan GAPS. Plant foods are cleansers, and animal foods nourish and build. You can start with a vegetarian version where you use high fat dairy and eggs, but in order to experience benefits, Dr. Natasha says you will eventually need to add in meat. Hope that helps!
Pasture fed eggs, definitely not pasteurized :) I'm talking about chickens raised on grass. I'm definitely not a fan of pasteurizing anything, eggs included :)
This sounds very expensive. I'm trying to do this because I've got IBS and it's so bad nothing I eat gives me relief but it looks like I have to throw my entire house out because all my equipment is toxic....so where does the money come from for all that?
Why are chicken feet so healthy for you? What is it about it? I know in Mexico they have them in the store everywhere and I know in Asia they have a lot of chicken feet as well. What is it?

I will like to start GAPS Diet for my 3 year old daughter...but can you help with list of food she can eat. Thank you
Great video thank you 😊
Excellent info. Thame you.
You're welcome! Thanks for watching :)
Thank you.
What type of containers could I use for freezing?
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm going to start the diet because I have a toxicity due to antibiotics. Do you thing this diet is safe?
You're welcome! Yes, that is part of what GAPS is designed to help with: healing the gut after antibiotics or other damage. Hope that helps!
What are you're thoughts on a higher carb gaps diet with loads of squash, pumpkin carrots etc for people who don't do well on low carb?
I think it's a good idea for some who need it! I can personally relate to it. When I did GAPS I needed a lot of the carb rich veggies. Even now, I see that I do best with mostly fat and carbs, with some protein. 😊
What type of salt do you use (brands). Ty!
Those of us who do not have a gallbladder, can we follow the Gaps diet, for example can we eat eggs, bone broth, Ghee butter, every day?
