We’re here at the airport in Hong Kong, but not for long because we are about to hop on a 3-hour flight to take us to Cebu City (one of our favorite places in the world). Then we have a 3:45 minute drive to get us to the southern tip of the island where we’re gonna have an incredible few days at the Fantasy Lodge. We have a lot of really cool adventures in store… let’s get to it.

I could eat them all day long, every day!! :)
They are no question about it. Unlike the mangoes in the U.S. the green unripe ones are not sour at all and the meat is hard to chew on and the ripe yellow ones are not as sweet compare to the Phil mangoes. Those mangoes in the U.S. are imported from Mexico and not as sour or sweet as the Phil mangoes. Facts💯%
I'm a Filipino senior citizen. I've watched some of this family's vlogs and their really good in entertaining people. So friendly and so likeable this wonderful American family. Even their cute and smart kids contribute with their opinions.

Your son is so brave! We Filipinos are scared of geckos we call “tuko” because we’re misinformed as kids that once they jump on you, they won’t let go forever, haha!
You were actually taught quite correctly! Colt has been bitten by them multiple times and they clamp down and hold on. When one bit him in Thailand, a resort employee had to use a trick of pouring water on its head so that he'd let go!
OMG Colt, I'm a Cebuano and I've never seen anyone actually hold a Tuko. You are one brave kid!
NEXT day - i googled Fantasy Lodge to see what I could read about it and what other reviews had to say. We went to the
town once on a 3 day South Cebu tour - I wouldn't mind a relaxing - doing not much - getting too old for swimming with a
fish big enough to swallow you, jumping off a cliff into the water, - watching other young folks have fun is enough. Watching
wind surfing is exciting - the racers can stay in one place, gun goes off, set the sail and they are off like a shot. ( you know when
Brooklyn hits " 13 " life can change pretty quick. ) sweet 16, 18 and out of high school, 21 - an adult, 22 out of college and now
you have to get a job.😥

that's because Samboan is very far ride from Cebu City approx. 3hr 45min ( 146.4 KM ) via Santander - Barili - Toledo Rd. but it's really worth it once you get there.

I retired from Las Vegas last November to Cebu. I live about 90 mins north of your lodge on the coast. It's a great country. Takes a bit of adjustment for us Americans. But it's so worth it if you want to slow down and enjoy.
Welcome back again. It was just a few months ago that you first visited and now back again for more FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES
This is our third trip in a year! And September will make four 😘
So thankful & enjoy a lot of your family travel bondings here in our country 🇵🇭. I highly recommend try GUIMARAS ISLAND ADVENTURE esp during their "MANGGAHAN FESTIVAL" for the whole month of MAY every year. The Province is the MANGO CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES, they have the most sweetest mangoes, in fact 50% exported mangoes comes from this province alone. You'll surely love the GUIMARAS & everything it has to offer.....
Guys, hope this will help, in case the Badian Canyoneering is still closed because it's under clearing operations and rehabilitation for awhile, I would suggest trying the Alegria Canyoneering in Alegria.
Back in the day, before the restrictions, the Cebu Canyoneering literally starts in Alegria and exits in Kawasan Falls in Badian.
Basically, the place offers two types of canyoneering, The upstream and the downstream canyoneering. Of course, upstream is more physically demanding and may be suitable only for those that are really physically fit. For the downstream canyoneering which is just fitted for beginners. The canyoneering will run from three to four hours, depending on your power and speed. Based on the local tourism rules, the earliest group can start the activity at 6 AM. The latest is at 3 PM.
Not to be confused with the canyoneering in Badian that leads to the famous Kawasan Falls, the canyoneering Cebu in Alegria is a different stretch of that same river, with its own beautiful sights, obstacles and challenges.
Alegria is on the west coast of South Cebu, about 40 minutes from Moalboal or 3 hours from Cebu City.
The canyoneering Cebu course in Alegria is further south from Badian and does eventually meet up with the Badian course, however you can’t just continue downriver all the way to Kawasan Falls. Back in the day you could simply start in Alegria and keep going until you reached Kawasan, but these days there are restrictions in place that make this impossible.
Actually, you can still do both courses in one day, but you’ll need to exit the river at the end of the Alegria course and hike up the canyon back to the starting point. That was honestly the most tiring part - it’s steep. From there you drive to the Badian briefing centre before going back down into the canyon with all new gear and guides. You’ll also need to book two separate tours with Alegria and Badian authorities. It’s a lot of hassle and we really wish they could find a way to make this easier for people like it used to be, as the swap takes up so much time.
We do end up going to Alegria and we had an incredible time!!

By the way, better check the hotels and resorts first for air-conditioned rooms before booking. I myself can't sleep comfortably when I'm sweating in bed. My body heat is always kind of higher than an average person. Like I can withstand the Chicago winter cold for a long period of time with just wearing a light jacket.
I actually originally reserved a room with air conditioning but then requested to upgrade to the one we were in. I just didn’t realize it wouldn’t have A/C. But we were comfortable with the fans. A/C would have been much more comfortable though 😊

Wow a third time! This is so much better for you traveling straight to Cebu and bypassing Manila and you get to experience the best airport under 5m passengers awardee.
