Our GE Adora has a two prong base and not the screw in, but the rest was the same. I was able to do it easily and I'm not mechanical. Thank you!
Thanks for uploading the video Repair Clinic. Bulb is replaced with ease.
I got GE profile over the range microwave, I want to replace the bulbs that are at the bottom and provide lighting on the stovetop. It says 120v 40w for incandescent or 120v 20w for halogen. Is there a bulb number or model or those info are good enough? (looking for 5000k bulbs as I like those white lights)
Even a 76 year old (me) can do it. Thanks
+Juanita Charlton That is wonderful! We're glad the repair was easy. Thanks for the comment!
Great video. Thanks!!
+Mike Ostrom Thanks.
I have the GE XL1800 (JVM1870SK) but the light assembly under the microwave (WB36X10003) is missing. Can you order the light assembly/socket and light bulb?
Mine is partially covered in silicone. How do I get this out?
+Alesia Pedone Manufacturers will often put a dab of silicone between the bulb and the socket to kept the bulb from coming loose. You can use a utility knife to cut through the silicone. It may take a bit of force to break the bulb loose. We recommend wearing gloves just in case the bulb breaks.
